Great video series! Thanks! I would suggest blowing compressed air and some cleaning solution through both the evaporator drain lines before reinstalling the evap housing to make sure they are not clogged. Also, depending on the mileage on the car and your budget, this is a great time to replace the blower motor and/or fan resistor.

Do you have any advice for the V8 car like 650i? I have a 2008 with leaking evaporator. I plan to use your videos for guide but wondering if you have any specific advice for the 2008 650i. Thanks so much for taking the time to make these videos! Very helpful. This is expensive repair at a shop.

Great video! I have an e63. I'm assuming a good number of these steps do apply. If I'm just replacing my evaporator, do I still need to drain the coolant? The AC system is a closed system so I theoretically don't have to drain the coolant, no?

I have odour in my e60 when i turn the AC on.
I would like to clean the evaporator, do i have to do the same procedure as You do, or is there a easier way to do onley a cleaning?

Hi i have e60 i change the radiator and fluid i bleed the system 4 times I can’t get heat in the car the driver side. Has little heat. The Passenger side it’s only blowing cold air sometimes the driver side has heat a little bit sometimes blows cold air you think is the controller what it has something to do with the unity you’re changing now in this video video

From what you have described it is very likely that you have a problem similar to this
do you know if the 2007 X5 E70 evaporator is enclosed as well?

Yes, as far as I remember at that time, those o'rings were nowhere in stock

➖am fost la un mecanic ,iam spus ca nu merge clim ,ma tine 1 luna,2 luni...a spus ca condensatorul.ok.l.am schimbat ,dupa o luna nu mai mergea clima,si am fost din nou la el si ia facut verificare mai amanuntita si mi-a spus acum ca si radiatorul de caldura e fisurar,ori ca are o gaura pe unde se pierde clima ‼

About 5-7 hours, but it also depends on the engine of the car and if you film it or not :))

German car engineer is bad for maintenance. Over rated car, do many issues
Depending of what you know and of what you are capable to do , for my point of view they are very well done (of course they have some problems ) and the maintenance , is not so hard if you have tolls and the necessary knowledge, unfortunately this cars are not made to be repaired on the side of the road. And if you don't have access to information on how to do it of course will seem very difficult 🙂
