Zara’s never going to want to leave this house or you! You make such beautiful and tasty meals, dress up the table with pretty table cloths, flowers and are a super gardener and grounds keeper. The BBQ looked great better than my sausages and baked potato. Your neighbours are a great gift. Don't think you would have got that massive pot into the back garden without their help. My husband works with people always complaining about their neighbours and it is so nice to hear about good ones.

Hi Luke, the olive tree in the pot looks fab. It was worth it to get it in place. I so enjoy the way you prep food and show us your food haul. The delish spread you prepared looked amazing you have a gift. Wonderful to see you happy and enjoying your home. Take care Gale x
A couple of tips for you Luke. When you have any deliveries that has polystyrene with it, keep it as it makes great drainage broken up in the bottom of your pots. Also, as for the skirting. As it may be hard to find an exact match, look elsewhere in the house to see if you can pinch some from somewhere else where it is the same, but covered up. Like behind a bed. We couldn't match some old dado for our extended hallway, so pinched some from another room and it worked perfectly. Can't wait for the painted wall reveal and I am loving the look of that coffee icecream!!! I always get the coffee creams in boxes of chocolates as no one else likes them!😆😘

Yesterday I prepped and cooked my pie filling, beef in my homemade sauce. The sauce is most important obviously. I will add extra fillings. It is a rich sauce. I make deep filled pies. It is marinating in the fridge until tomorrow. Savoury blind
bake bases with puff pastry lids. It is the only time hubby has Red wine as it is in the gravy (He is tea total) shhhhhh
In New Zealand we encourage those who want to live in the UK to First move to Palmerston North in NZ where is always raining and cloudy🤣😅😂😆
hilarious! add in a bit of snow and then you've got our Scottish weather!!
Also like me when you move from the UK do not move to Northern Queensland first … the humidity will kill you lol. Try Melbourne or Adelaide then make your way up the East Coast.

The shade! I'm a Brit. Me & the cat nearly melted in the last 28degree UK heatwave 2 years back. It changed my mind on retiring somewhere hot.😂
Can I order a pot full of Luke? I could use some help around the kitchen! Glad it all worked out in the end. Remodeling is such a hassle but so worth it in the end. We didn't have a full on kitchen for over a month, but it's a distant memory now that I am able to cook in a kitchen I love. The minor inconvenience is frustrating, but the end results so satisfying.

This was a fun video...glad your neighbor was so nice to let you get your HUGE pot through his house!! The garden is looking lovely and I hope you get lots of good weather so you can use it constantly. We are in the house with a/c for the foreseeable, since we are under a heat dome (in central NYS) so we will be having temps in the 90s farenheit with very high humidity. Lots of heat warnings here in the US. Zara looked so cute in the car with her hair pulled back and her glasses. Luke, your hair looks great and your glasses look so good on you too! Really enjoyed this video!
We Canadians bbq all year round even in --20 winter weather haha
It's been torrential rain in Norfolk my garden is turning into a bog garden, so it was refreshing to see what you two have been up to. Love that pot and how lucky you have good neighbours such a blessing.

From here in France £90 seems like a bargain for such a lovely olive tree. Anyways, the tree will still be giving you pleasure long after you’ve forgotten what it cost. 😊

While I was watching I wondered to myself if the pot would go through a neighbour’s house and over the fence and thankfully you have really lovely neighbours, it was definitely a good purchase because the olive tree looks so nice in the pot. We just need as the song says ….the sun to put his hat on.

I would have given anything for 17Celsius here today in South Australia. When we left home this morning it was 6 Celsius and when we got home, 6 hrs later it was 12 Celsius. The pot for the Olive tree is STUNNING.

You always put on a delicious spread. Will just say,potatoes have names, even the essential ones. So the taste also contributes to that. My favourite at present is Maris Peer (yes.. you heard right. NOT maris piper). The pot and olive tree are just made for each other. Gorgeous Maggie knows when something new arrives.

Here in Australia when we buy herb pots from supermarkets and want to keep them we repot them. Apparently they don't use quality soil and sometimes no soil at all. The olive tree is going to look amazing in that pot.

Good morning from a very sunny Spain. Here we are right now 20⁰C and it's only half past nine in the morning. I love your garden, i wish I could have one too. I'm glad you are also making progress inside of the house. I have never seen an olive tree in a pot. I suppose that it's ok for them if it has good soil and a very good drainage. Do they do well in a rainy climate? Here they are usually in mild/hot climate zones, not in the north of the country where the weather is quite much similar to yours.
Great neighbours to help you with the pot😅. I laughed so much when you first posted it in IG!

Olive trees do really well here in the UK despite the cold weather and rain. One of my neighbours has a huge one in their front garden. I have a small one in my garden but it's a bit leggy and tall, think I probably should have pruned it back at some stage but it just took off all of a sudden and doubled in height really quickly before I noticed. 😮
