    Looks like Wendell enjoys driving the truck. I've never seen a vertical log log-cabin before, interesting. Nice little creek with drinking spot and waterfalls. Wish my brother had a quad or Sxs, so that way I had somebody to ride with. Great times!!! Thanks for sharing.

    Nice trails look like good day out , Odds are why that guy has light bar on in day is just like a car you can see people coming way off better than if no lights on just a safety thing . Here where we ride most trails are as rule one unit wide but at any time can meet traffic coming from other way i can tell you makes big diff if those lights on even in day when each person travels at say 35 to 25 klm hr and meet up helps prevent crashes cheers .

    • @Maritimer
      @Maritimer  6 років тому +1

      Hey ! yeah you're right, I Always ride with my headlights on in the day so people can see me from a distance but a light bar is a bit much lol I could be wrong though... safety is most important.

    Nice wood shed!
    4:07 - OK buddy, I'm drawin' the line here - LOL - it's bad enough we refer to our quads as bikes, which we get away with because they have a bike type seats & bike handle bars, but referring to a SxS as a bike? C'mon man . . . you are stretchin' it - LOL. That thing is a mini monster truck if anything - hahaha! (just messin' with ya of course - call it whatever you want - lol)
    Congrats on gettin' your bike license.
    WOW, that's a cool little cabin someone is building out there! I love log homes too! And that little waterfall spot around the 14 min mark . . . WOW again! Looked a lot like several little spots I've found in BC. Very beautiful.
    You were lookin' a little wobbly around 25:00 there buddy! LMAO! How'd the wings turn out?
    What do you think of the Nylander contract? I think they paid too much, but only time will tell.
    Awesome video buddy! Thanx for sharin'!

    • @Maritimer
      @Maritimer  6 років тому

      Hey man ! thanks for the comment as always. bahaha your right, we call everything bikes but sometimes if we want to bug the SXS guys we call them "Trail Donkey" haha because we always pile all our stuff on them and they bring supplies lol
      Thanks, I can't wait to get a bike and hit the road, i'm just worried I'll get obsessed haha the feeling is amazing.
      if you ever come out this way you can totally come out for a cook up and ride haha we will make something really good for our royal visit lol !!
      I was feeling no pain that night for sure, and the wings turned out great, I must have deleted that video.... they were eaten pretty quick lol
      I don't know what to think about that contract.... it's really confusing, but at 6.9mil that's a contract that you could trade pretty easily, maybe pick up some picks, prospects or a defenceman, i'm still not sold at all on our back end.

    • @quaddingsous
      @quaddingsous 6 років тому +1

      Trail Donkeys - HAHAHAHA!!! I love it!
      Yup, I'm with ya on the Buds back end Maritimer. They could use some help back there, but Dubie says NO TRADING Willy, so now what? Once they sign Matty & Mitch, there's no cash left for Kapper, which means letting Gardner and Hainsey walk so Kapper can be signed. I'm not a Gardner fan, but who would they replace those two guys with? If Dubie pulls this off I'll crap me drawers! LOL

    • @Maritimer
      @Maritimer  6 років тому

      hahaha what Dubas says and what happens might be two different things... I mean... Wayne Gretzky got traded.... so William Nylander isn't safe haha Trade him and Gardner for a good D-man and a pick or two.

      Ahhhh maybe, but headlight are for safety, the LED bars are for driving at night. Simple headlights in the day time are more than enough, I was thinking after I edited this video is that he may not have even noticed it was on...

      Hey RoB ! thanks for watching and leaving me a comment ! The plastic shine I use is called SC1 but there are lots of other kinds, its a silicone spray, works good to let water and mud slide off, dust will stick to it, but the bike usually is easier to wash if you have it a coating before you went riding. It's not cheap at $13/can here in Canada, might be cheaper elsewhere.... but I use it sparingly and a can usually lasts me a while.

      @Maritimer  6 років тому

      Hey Alan ! thanks so much, glad you liked the video ! We'll I love my Grizzly ! she's a really good all around bike. I haven't owned a Kodiak but it's basically the same but without some of the flash, so if you're tight on cash maybe the Kodak is the way to go. They have a great review and some say its a better work bike than the Grizzly. Hope that helps ya !

    Great video,great ride,can i ask you how is Griz holding up,did you ever had any big issue?i am planing to get either Griz 700 like older 2015-2016 or Kodiak 450-2018 i am collecting all data,so i think over it,thank's in advance,cheers!

      I have had 2 700 grizzlys EPS I put 10000 kms on my 1st one and now 13000 kms on my second one and I just bought a new 2019 I have never had them in 4 a repair . I broke down once on the trail my battery went dead replaced the battery and was OK. I always carry a booster pack and booster cables.all my riding is in the foothills of Alberta ..cheers

    • @Maritimer
      @Maritimer  6 років тому +3

      Hey man, my Grizzly is holding up well I think, some of the newer (2016-2018 Grizzlies with the 708cc motor, made by Subaru) have had a smoking issue..... mostly the 2016's but nothing with mine yet, and I hope it never does.
      Now b/c of that, Yamaha went back to the old faithful 686cc motor, made by Yamaha, for the new 2019+ If I were you, I'd go for that motor over the 708. just my opinion.
      Power is basically the same, but the 686 is proven bullet proof. Now saying all of that I haven't had any issues, and there are some bikes with high milage with no issues, so if you do get a 708cc maybe avoid the 2016 model.
      the only other issue I had was my 4X4 switch was switching in and out of 4X4, I took it apart, cleaned it and put more dielectric grease in it, and the issue was gone. (common problem)
      Oh and the older Grizzlies 2008-2015 all have the 686cc motor, and if you can find one in good shape, it's a good machine. Sorry if I'm all over the place, I hope that helps ! any other questions, just ask.

      I'd go with the Griz. I just bought one not too long ago and when I went into the dealer I had every intention of walking out with the 450, but the dealer has it's own dirt track and after a test ride the first thing I said was...this thing needs more power, and I've never owned a quad before. I bought the Griz and I never come close to using all the power it has, but I'd rather have too much than not enough

  • @4wheelliving132

    Nice ride! One question, in the US whenever we're passing another group we all hold up fingers as to how many riders are behind us, do you guys do that? If you're riding alone or the last guy you just hold up a fist and if there's more than 5 guys behind you, you just hold up 5 fingers. Everyone here does it, I don't know if it's a law or not. I've had guys hold up fingers and nobody was behind them and a couple blocks down the trail, there they were

    • @Maritimer
      @Maritimer  6 років тому

      Hey man ! It's not the law but Yes we usually do that and thats a great riding technique, but not everyone does it, and sometimes on those rallies, people have a few too many pops and riding etiquette gores out the window lol
      Thanks for watching, I appreciate it !

    I enjoyed the video! One question, in Canada do they always call ATV's, "bikes"? If so, what do you call motorcycles? In the states, a motorcycle is a bike and and ATV is usually called a "4 wheeler".

    • @Maritimer
      @Maritimer  5 років тому

      Hey man ! thats a good question, the short answer is No. haha I know where i'm from we always say bikes or bikin' that could mean ATV, Dirt bike, Motorcycle, Mountain bike haha I get it doesn't make much sense lol and its usually people from town will say "Quadding" which is usually a dead give-away your not from the country lol I know it's different across Canada, lots of people say Quadding. I say ATV'ing more now b/c of UA-cam. We also use the term Buggy for an ATV. thanks for watching !!

      Oh man the King Quad is an amazing bike, I was really close to getting one b/c they were less expensive than my grizzly (where I'm from anyway) What Dual Sports do you guys have? the Honda Africa is 1000cc twin cylinder and is good for longer rides on road, and is a decent off road bike too, although I doubt i'll do too much serious off roading with it, but it's nice to have the option to take a dirt road if I want to.
