Hey !! thanks so much ! we are very lucky to have the trails we have, its all due to clubs/volunteers and the government realizing ATV/SXS and Snowmobiles bring in money into smaller towns. I just got my Outback Mototech crash bars and skid plate installed on my Africa, and i should be getting the more off road tires installed today.
That’s great to have a community of support for the outdoors person. I look forward to a sneak peak of your Africa Honda duel sport! More adventures are about to begin! 😁

Right on man, Congrats ! you're gonna love it ! you should check out the Yamaha Grizzly Facebook group, it's a good spot to ask questions and learn some stuff. thanks for the compliment too !
Maritimer ok thanks I’ll check out that Facebook page. I just sold everything I own and move full time into a Bigfoot truck camper it was a great winter to test both

Nice wood shed! 4:07 - OK buddy, I'm drawin' the line here - LOL - it's bad enough we refer to our quads as bikes, which we get away with because they have a bike type seats & bike handle bars, but referring to a SxS as a bike? C'mon man . . . you are stretchin' it - LOL. That thing is a mini monster truck if anything - hahaha! (just messin' with ya of course - call it whatever you want - lol) Congrats on gettin' your bike license. WOW, that's a cool little cabin someone is building out there! I love log homes too! And that little waterfall spot around the 14 min mark . . . WOW again! Looked a lot like several little spots I've found in BC. Very beautiful. You were lookin' a little wobbly around 25:00 there buddy! LMAO! How'd the wings turn out? What do you think of the Nylander contract? I think they paid too much, but only time will tell. Awesome video buddy! Thanx for sharin'! PS: If I ever make it back to the Maritimes, can I come hang out with you guys for a weekend? You boys sure know how to do up the cookin'!

I was feeling no pain that night for sure, and the wings turned out great, I must have deleted that video.... they were eaten pretty quick lol I don't know what to think about that contract.... it's really confusing, but at 6.9mil that's a contract that you could trade pretty easily, maybe pick up some picks, prospects or a defenceman, i'm still not sold at all on our back end.
Trail Donkeys - HAHAHAHA!!! I love it! Yup, I'm with ya on the Buds back end Maritimer. They could use some help back there, but Dubie says NO TRADING Willy, so now what? Once they sign Matty & Mitch, there's no cash left for Kapper, which means letting Gardner and Hainsey walk so Kapper can be signed. I'm not a Gardner fan, but who would they replace those two guys with? If Dubie pulls this off I'll crap me drawers! LOL
hahaha what Dubas says and what happens might be two different things... I mean... Wayne Gretzky got traded.... so William Nylander isn't safe haha Trade him and Gardner for a good D-man and a pick or two.
Hey, no I was just there on the other side of the river from Old Quebec for vacation. I'd love to hit up quebec trails, I'm told they have the best trails around.
Oh Right on ! I see lots of snowmobile trails when I'm working in Quebec near Blue River/Phonegamook/River Du Loup. I'm always jealous seeing them fly bye haha
Ahhhh maybe, but headlight are for safety, the LED bars are for driving at night. Simple headlights in the day time are more than enough, I was thinking after I edited this video is that he may not have even noticed it was on...
Hey buddy, You've got a bran new bike ! thats awesome, always nice to hear where people are from, thanks for the comment and glad you like the videos !
What was the name of that bike cleaner again?Nice video, My kinda weather, What about ticks and the like? Looks like a one lane interstate up there. LOL
Hey RoB ! thanks for watching and leaving me a comment ! The plastic shine I use is called SC1 but there are lots of other kinds, its a silicone spray, works good to let water and mud slide off, dust will stick to it, but the bike usually is easier to wash if you have it a coating before you went riding. It's not cheap at $13/can here in Canada, might be cheaper elsewhere.... but I use it sparingly and a can usually lasts me a while.
Hey Alan ! thanks so much, glad you liked the video ! We'll I love my Grizzly ! she's a really good all around bike. I haven't owned a Kodiak but it's basically the same but without some of the flash, so if you're tight on cash maybe the Kodak is the way to go. They have a great review and some say its a better work bike than the Grizzly. Hope that helps ya !
Great video, great ride, can i ask you how is Griz holding up,did you ever had any big issue?i am planing to get either Griz 700 like older 2015-2016 or Kodiak 450-2018 i am collecting all data,so i think over it,thank's in advance, cheers!
I have had 2 700 grizzlys EPS I put 10000 kms on my 1st one and now 13000 kms on my second one and I just bought a new 2019 I have never had them in 4 a repair . I broke down once on the trail my battery went dead replaced the battery and was OK. I always carry a booster pack and booster cables.all my riding is in the foothills of Alberta ..cheers
Hey man, my Grizzly is holding up well I think, some of the newer (2016-2018 Grizzlies with the 708cc motor, made by Subaru) have had a smoking issue..... mostly the 2016's but nothing with mine yet, and I hope it never does. Now b/c of that, Yamaha went back to the old faithful 686cc motor, made by Yamaha, for the new 2019+ If I were you, I'd go for that motor over the 708. just my opinion. Power is basically the same, but the 686 is proven bullet proof. Now saying all of that I haven't had any issues, and there are some bikes with high milage with no issues, so if you do get a 708cc maybe avoid the 2016 model. the only other issue I had was my 4X4 switch was switching in and out of 4X4, I took it apart, cleaned it and put more dielectric grease in it, and the issue was gone. (common problem) Oh and the older Grizzlies 2008-2015 all have the 686cc motor, and if you can find one in good shape, it's a good machine. Sorry if I'm all over the place, I hope that helps ! any other questions, just ask.
I'd go with the Griz. I just bought one not too long ago and when I went into the dealer I had every intention of walking out with the 450, but the dealer has it's own dirt track and after a test ride the first thing I said was...this thing needs more power, and I've never owned a quad before. I bought the Griz and I never come close to using all the power it has, but I'd rather have too much than not enough
Nice ride! One question, in the US whenever we're passing another group we all hold up fingers as to how many riders are behind us, do you guys do that? If you're riding alone or the last guy you just hold up a fist and if there's more than 5 guys behind you, you just hold up 5 fingers. Everyone here does it, I don't know if it's a law or not. I've had guys hold up fingers and nobody was behind them and a couple blocks down the trail, there they were
Hey man ! It's not the law but Yes we usually do that and thats a great riding technique, but not everyone does it, and sometimes on those rallies, people have a few too many pops and riding etiquette gores out the window lol Thanks for watching, I appreciate it !
I enjoyed the video! One question, in Canada do they always call ATV's, "bikes"? If so, what do you call motorcycles? In the states, a motorcycle is a bike and and ATV is usually called a "4 wheeler".
Hey man ! thats a good question, the short answer is No. haha I know where i'm from we always say bikes or bikin' that could mean ATV, Dirt bike, Motorcycle, Mountain bike haha I get it doesn't make much sense lol and its usually people from town will say "Quadding" which is usually a dead give-away your not from the country lol I know it's different across Canada, lots of people say Quadding. I say ATV'ing more now b/c of UA-cam. We also use the term Buggy for an ATV. thanks for watching !!
@@Maritimer Thank you for the reply, as I was sincere with my question. Just found your channel tonight and I appreciate your sharing with us! Whatever you call it, it is fun!
What was that white stuff on your sausage? (Wow I just realized that question can go in multiple directions). Looked like anything from snot to onions to shaved zucchini or shaved cauliflower.
Bahahahahahaha that could be taken the wrong way for sure !!!! That was Sauerkraut, (fermented shredded cabbage) its really good for your stomach, has lots of probiotics the same as yogurt.Tastes great too. It goes great on a sausage, especially with mustard... but I forgot that haha
Oh man that would be awesome, Berta is beautiful ! My brother (in the Teryx in the video) was out there as an electrician on a few oil patch sites, showed me some amazing pictures of the landscape and wildlife. I've always said if I wasn't close to my family, i'd move out to BC or Alberta, I love the mountains, river, lakes and big land there.
that looks like some nice riding my wife and i have dual sports they are fun just not very good for long distance we also have king quads 750 she has 2017 and i just got the new 2019 so far so good
Oh man the King Quad is an amazing bike, I was really close to getting one b/c they were less expensive than my grizzly (where I'm from anyway) What Dual Sports do you guys have? the Honda Africa is 1000cc twin cylinder and is good for longer rides on road, and is a decent off road bike too, although I doubt i'll do too much serious off roading with it, but it's nice to have the option to take a dirt road if I want to.
Maritimer I’ve been watching all your vids. Wondering about your atv. I want to get a wheeler...was just wondering how much power I’d need to just get around on trails.
I am for my personal account and try to keep that separate from UA-cam, but I was thinking of starting a FB Group page, seeing as not everyone uses Instagram, might be easier to plan a group ride through FB too.
Great video! This spring you should come out at the Scoudouc river run with us and do a video on that! We usually meet up at my camp around 11am, usually a big group, 26 bikes this year. Definitely some good stuff to film lol I made a video of the run from this year, check it out if you haven't seen it!
Hey buddy ! man I see Adam goes on that run, I'd love to go, just if my schedule works out, thats the problem. I Don't remember if I saw it or not, i'll check it out for sure !
Where are you located? In New Brunswick? My tacoma is a 2010TRD OR, AC, I got it new back in '10 I don't plan on selling it for a few more years though, only have 124,000 klm on it, Problem free ! Sure wish now I got the 4 door though, my next one will be 4 door for sure. I even toyed with getting a 4 Runner but I like having the bed in back.

@@Maritimer
That would be a good trade! I'd take a bag of pucks for Gardner - LMAO!
you live the good life!
haha Work all week and have fun on the weekends haha Thanks !!
You guys should get a smoker ❤️ love your videos !
Hey ! I ended up getting a pellet grill, so I've been smoking a lot haha
Did you hit some trails in Quebec ?
Hey, no I was just there on the other side of the river from Old Quebec for vacation. I'd love to hit up quebec trails, I'm told they have the best trails around.
@@Maritimer I live in that area and the trails are nice indeed. Lots of dirt roads too to rack up some easy mileage. Haha!
Oh Right on ! I see lots of snowmobile trails when I'm working in Quebec near Blue River/Phonegamook/River Du Loup. I'm always jealous seeing them fly bye haha
Maritimer we have a lot of atv winter trails too. Hit up fqcq.qc.ca and look up the interactive map to get an idea.
I'l check it out for sure ! thanks !!
Light bars are on for safety so the approaching atv is aware
Ahhhh maybe, but headlight are for safety, the LED bars are for driving at night. Simple headlights in the day time are more than enough, I was thinking after I edited this video is that he may not have even noticed it was on...
No mustard but I recognize the pop of that can.
hahaha Shhhhhhh...... lol
Love the vids! Keep them coming! Got a 2019 700 se and watching from Ontario cheers!
GREAT VID, AND TOP GRUB, MICK FROM UK.
Hey Mick ! glad to see someone watching from across the pond ! haha glad you liked the video ! thanks for the support !
Nice going what the hell ! No mustard? No buns? Lol.
haha Oh man I really dropped the ball on this trip eh? I can't believe I did that lol
Another great video and great music (country)!! What do you think of the Grizzly compared to the Kodiak other than size?
Hey Alan ! thanks so much, glad you liked the video !
Great vid! Man you guys eat good ☺
haha thank you ! it's just a little more work to eat good rather than eating junk, so we do it haha I appreciate the comment !
(common problem)
Oh and the older Grizzlies 2008-2015 all have the 686cc motor, and if you can find one in good shape, it's a good machine.
I've had guys hold up fingers and nobody was behind them and a couple blocks down the trail, there they were
Hey man ! It's not the law but Yes we usually do that and thats a great riding technique, but not everyone does it, and sometimes on those rallies, people have a few too many pops and riding etiquette gores out the window lol
Thanks for watching, I appreciate it !
Whatever you call it, it is fun!
thanks buddy ! glad you like it !
Good Times.
thank you !
great vid good times with the fam..if you're ever in Alberta look me up I'll take u 4 a ride in the foothills.
Oh man that would be awesome, Berta is beautiful ! My brother (in the Teryx in the video) was out there as an electrician on a few oil patch sites, showed me some amazing pictures of the landscape and wildlife. I've always said if I wasn't close to my family, i'd move out to BC or Alberta, I love the mountains, river, lakes and big land there.
bpf@shaw.ca is my email address if u can make it. I'm out all year .I run tracks in the winter.
thanks man ! I hope I can take you up on your offer sometime !
that looks like some nice riding my wife and i have dual sports they are fun just not very good for long distance we also have king quads 750 she has 2017 and i just got the new 2019 so far so good
Oh man the King Quad is an amazing bike, I was really close to getting one b/c they were less expensive than my grizzly (where I'm from anyway) What Dual Sports do you guys have? the Honda Africa is 1000cc twin cylinder and is good for longer rides on road, and is a decent off road bike too, although I doubt i'll do too much serious off roading with it, but it's nice to have the option to take a dirt road if I want to.
Sweet....
Thanks !!
what type of ATV does he have?
Hey Josh, which guy? I have a Grizzly 700, my brother has a Kawasaki Teryx 800.
Maritimer I’ve been watching all your vids. Wondering about your atv. I want to get a wheeler...was just wondering how much power I’d need to just get around on trails.
this looks like Collingwood?
you'd be correct!! beautiful area!
@@Maritimer indeed man.. we take that ride a lot from Oxford to Collingwood in the summertime!
You on Facebook?
I am for my personal account and try to keep that separate from UA-cam, but I was thinking of starting a FB Group page, seeing as not everyone uses Instagram, might be easier to plan a group ride through FB too.
hey man i made a Facebook page for my YT channel, give it a like - facebook.com/MaritimerATV/?modal=admin_todo_tour
Cilicia spring 10 mins from my Camp
Beauty area ! I wonder if we passed each other on the trail at any point. I love it up there, just sucks they are logging so much.
I Don't remember if I saw it or not, i'll check it out for sure !
did you bought a new tacoma ? if no let me know. ill help you negotiate something i work for a dealer as a sell rep for 9 years
Where are you located? In New Brunswick? My tacoma is a 2010TRD OR, AC, I got it new back in '10 I don't plan on selling it for a few more years though, only have 124,000 klm on it, Problem free ! Sure wish now I got the 4 door though, my next one will be 4 door for sure. I even toyed with getting a 4 Runner but I like having the bed in back.
lol buns are fatning enywhys
haha thats true ! but I have no excuse for forgetting the mustard lol
I wanna move out there, I’m tired of these sensitive snowflakes in the U S .
haha Have you seen our Prime Minister? lol Lord of the Snowflakes.... hahaha But yes by all means, come on up !
