Thanks to all the squads and players who joined in for this! A couple of the scenes are a little skippy/ framey due to a minor GPU issue. I couldn't be bothered re-capturing those specific bits again. I already had over 150 video files for this one. . ..
The Mustangs flying low level along the runway then landing in pairs..............AMAZING The formation flying by all others was just brilliant. I have been to Duxford to watch the War Bird Airshows and this was as good. Sir, I take my hat off to you for this.
What impressed me the most was that truly authentic sound of a DB605's blower. First time I heard it was when Black 6 flew...damn that was a long time ago. 😟 Now, just develop the capability of having multirole missions with up to 500 players, complete with lobbies and briefing rooms for each group, scored by completed or failed mission objectives and you'll have done what Air Warrior accomplished back in the Big Week missions of 1996 😉 My gawd, with today's graphics and flight models, just the thought leaves me....speechless.
Listening to this at work with only one ear bud is sacrilege. When I get home this is getting streamed to the TV and my family will be subjected to this in surround sound.
Thankyou all, this was awesome! As time goes on we all know that day may come when seeing these beautiful machines flying will be limited or non existent. To see this and have the privilege to fly using this sim keeps those memories and thrills alive. Truly awesome sounds and sights. Was like being there in person.
Wunderbar! Congratulations to all these guys for a perfect close formation.. I sent the video to all friend and to all groups linked to WWII that I know... I'm proud to fly with you all 💖
Omfg, I had goosebumps throughout this video, and that's rare for me! The ground fly-overs we're exceptional with those sounds. Always had a fascination with this era, but only in a respectful way with what humans are capable of from what was asked of them, be it land, sea or air and this is from all sides. Big massive thumbs up.
Congratulations all .... shame I could not fly this event but it looked like a fantastic event and with some fine flying skills. The preparation from all the Sqn's was clear to be seen. S!
OMG! What a great tribute to those flyers! Excellent. Such great skill from all participants! Love it Phil.. well done to all!. Imagine seeing that for real.? What sounds!
Nice Formations 👏👏 I watched almost all your Videos from the SoW Server and bought the K4 a few hours ago... The next sale I get Normandy and the A8 also and then we meet in the skies over the Beaches when I have a feel for the birds, don't want to be easy prey only 😁👍
Nice. Very fu**ing nice! Think this has to be one of the best vids I've watched on UA-cam for a long, long time! Really enjoyable. Sound was just awesome! Thanks for sharing, and thanks to all who took part. Superb! Now, questions! How did you manage comms? Would have been nice to hear each flights lead during the event. Do these type of events happen often, and can I join (fly most of the aircraft involved to a high standard and love formation flying)? If so, where do I sign? What test must I complete? I'll do whatever it takes to join all you ladies and gents in formation. Also if this does go down again, will there be Mosquito involvement (once they sort the trim of course)? PS - to be completely honest I have a chronic illness which is slowly eating away at my nervous system. I sometimes spasm, which as you can imagine isn't great when it comes to formation flying. Due to them I've even had to resort to using 50% auto-rudder on take-off on most WW2 aircraft, something I was initially embarrassed about, but having leg spasms on take-off lead to the odd BBQ! However it keeps me flying....for now. If that's an issue, and you can obviously see how it can be, then it's fine to say no. I'm old enough to take rejection 😉🙂 There would be no hard feelings for sure. (Could even just join the server to watch and figure out how to take some footage for your vid). Anyhoo thanks again. Absolutely superb Sir.
hello Phyl i used to play on War thunder fir air battles. i appreciate very much the videos with you playing on DCS. Please in some words, can you tell me the pron and cons with DCS compared to war thunder ? Keep going with the qualities of your yu tube videos many thanks Hugues

It was advertised for around 2 months in advance. . .
Bloody missed another one. Damn it. Is this going to be a once a month thing Phil? It's a great advert for the server in my humble opinion.
Participation for this has been advertised on the discord for 2 months. . . . And no, it was a one off.
@@philstyle yeh. Unfortunately life lol. Now that the puppies have gone to there forever homes I might get some flight time again.
