Hollywood-recorded video as if I was watching a movie in the cinema, everything was beautifully filmed from the very start, movement on the runway, take-off of the flight itself, attack and return, landing and shutdown of the plane, congratulations and all the praise
Can’t blame you Phil with all of the toxic crap and ED just not fixing the fundamental issues with the sim. I haven’t touched DCS for months now. I Git sick of having to rebind my controls after every update. Best of luck mate. I know it’s not flying but Hell Let Loose is a bag load of WWII fun. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻🙃🙃
Thank you for the video and for the excellent server on which I had many enjoyable flights over the time it was up. Server hosting is an exhausting endeavor even aside from other platform-related issues, so I have nothing but respect for you keeping it going for so long. Looking forward to anything you might have in store in the future!
Time for all the SoW team to sit back and watch for a while I think. We still have our vision for the kind of WW2 multiplayer environment we want, we just know that we need to keep looking if we want to realise it.
@Flying Bagpipe Nothing has been "thrown in the garbage". Everything has been meticulously archived in hundreds of documents and scripts. After the archiving we turned some computers off. Some of these reations have been a bit on the hysterical side. It might have looked like it was "going well" from the outside, but the whole SoW DCS WW2 enterprise had already fallen over long before January 2022. We''d been bashing our heads against a brick wall for long eough.
@@ozanemredemir9392 I suspect that would just invite even more nasty commentary from some people who felt personally slighted when the server was shut down. At this point, it's probably best for us all to just to remember the fun we had and look forward to whatever comes next.
@@ozanemredemir9392 That would just turn into a series of arguments in the comments. I'd rather not. Maybe sometime in the future we will do an interview with Emperor again.
That was some sad news for sure. I think you deliver the best ww2 flightsim content on youtube, at least that i have found! Sad to see you go but I wish you the best for whatever you will be doing in the future.
Very thankful to have had SoW for the time we did! Met a lot of fantastic people on the server and had countless hours of entertainment and challenge. Plenty of great memories!
I will miss Sow! Life didn't allow for as many occasions to fly on it as I would have liked, but the times I did get to were very memorable and very fun. Good luck in future endeavors!
Thanks for all the fun you gave people. I'm also thrilled to see your UA-cam content back up, I really enjoy watching and learn a lot from them as a new player. I'm pleased to see the community is carrying on from where you left it, (just bought a load of modules haha) I hear you gave that your backing and that's gracious of you. ATB and take care, Dan
I'm so glad that you are back on YT. I was sad when you went silent but I also respect your decision. I love your work for flight sim community and always find your content both entertaining and relaxing. Keep up your fantastic job and be well Phil.
I will miss your WW2 content Phil. I've really enjoyed it in the year since I discovered it. Although I didn't participate, I'm sorry to see SoW go as well. Thanks for the good times!
Great to see your videos again Phil, such unfortunate timing with the server going down, The Flying Kiwis had committed to doing our monthly warbird weekend on SoW, we got one weekend in before it shut down. Raiding SoW with 20-30 pilots was a bloody hoot! Hope to see the server back again when the time is right but as a server admin myself I do understand your decision, it can be very frustrating at times when things are just so broken.
good luck with all future endeavours Phil , we hope to build upon the excellent server that was Storm of war and you and your guys are more than welcome any time. . S!
Thanks for keeping the server up as long as you did. It's such a shame the unfulfilled potential of DCS WW2. Now there's pacific theater coming, with Europe only half-ass done. I don't hold too much hope. Hopefully, I am proven wrong...
Your SOW content was one of the reasons I got into DCS and sims in general. Thank you for building this virtual WWII world for us all to enjoy. It will be missed.
