- When asked if he regretted taking part in a sign-stealing scandal with the Houston Astros in 2017, a season in which the team won the World Series, slugger Alex Bregman deflected by saying the MLB had done their report, the Astros had made their decision, and he's ready to move on.

What were your biggest takeaways from Alex Bregman's first public comments since MLB released its report about the Houston Astros' 2017 sign-stealing investigation?
A cheater.
The Astros robbed MLB Teams from the sales of revenues and goods. They really took a whole lot of money from teams who rightfully deserved to be there. Instead teams took a lost in sales, tickets, marketing, sports merchandise and more. The money $$$ they gained and the money other teams lost due to the fact the Astros cheated their way to the World Series.
That it’s not that big of a deal.
Life goes on.
Those Astros teams were amazing and now we know why lol but it was worth it.
Astros are pretty fresh team and hadn’t ever won one prior so whatever’s.
We know Yanks & Red Sox have done some major cheating 1 way or another but there’s no way that would get exposed if it would make certain players look bad.
@@CSDonohue11 ...It's not cheating...until you get caught. Many have cheated and gotten away with it. Whether steroids, enhancing muscle growth creams, stealing signs, pine tar, corked bats, vasoline under caps or belt line, even clipping to scuff the ball. Point is, there is cheating but if you got away with it then you are Scott free. So you have a point but Astros made a big mistake and now it will follow them and their team image will be shattered. It was a dumb move by them when they have a really good squad.
Meanwhile the teams that lost, the humble losers who are quiet about this all ... are the real true winners. Dodgers, Yankees, etc...

The fans and the media will make it a big deal all season, but I bet most the players just try to avoid the topic and move on. Nearly every single MLB team over the years has cheated or bent the rules and that's not even including all the drama around steroids, HGH, and other substances some players have been exposed to. None of these players or teams want to start kicking the dirt up knowing they don't want the spotlight on them. Then again the media and fan outrage might just spark another #metoo movement and everyone starts getting exposed.

These players cussing Friers because he spilled the beans, but what would have happened? next season they probably would have updated their cheating higher averages more success by cheating.. They probably never heard of "Whistle Blowers" or is it so that they would have rather have every team setting up their own cheating system for hitters or does the Commissioner want more offense, knew what was going on and thought that's great for the game. And to let that arrogant piece Alex Bregman, get away with his cheating and one day be able to say prove it, it never happened. And that the league is trying to make it go away, he does not realize that is only making things worst!
What aggravates me the most is that the players and the owner of the Astros' get off somewhat easy...well very easy. The owner did what he was probably told to do by Manfred and fire the GM and manager. That way it looks like something is going to be done or maybe try and cool the fire a little. They put the players association in a trick bag because the PA will fight for the players that allegedly cheated. But what about the players that didn't cheat? What does the PA say to all of them? I don't think this is going away any time soon. It still baffles me that they get to keep the championship.
He's uncomfortable and should be. I hope the media doesn't let up on asking questions until they answer them. The Commissioner has done a fine job handling this quickly. I just hope he's not done. Proven guilty players should be penalised, and I would like to think the players union would not fight any recourse.
