I just love these 'day in the life of' vlogs. Hey, cooking vids is a great idea! More of those classic Thai cuisine segments here and there would be great! Also, you may have posted a vlog on this, Joe but I would love to hear how you and Gift met. While I am not actively seeking, it's clear you have found a keeper in Gift! I see so many negative 'beware' vlogs about finding girlfriends but I feel that is because people are dating in the wrong places. A vlog on how you approached dating and met Gift would be amazing. You are a beautiful couple!
He has posted a great video on this topic. Well worth searching it out, it is a great story! I would not recommend attempting to duplicate his method! lol

Joe, buy more Baht today and put in the bank. The dollar will remain strong for the next few months. When the Baht drops back down to 31 or 32 you will have gained 8% to 10%. Profit. I would put 9 months to 1 year of your annual expenses. More than likely if the baht goes back to 31 or 32 the domestic prices within Thailand will also drop. But you will have increased buying power with the Baht you bought at 37. Love your channel.

Thanks for bringing us along. I loved Gift's "Cooking with Gift" section, especially as it is one of my favourites. Much better than in a restaurant as no MSG which for nearly all restaurants and street food is a staple. I still, after 10 years have to remind my wife not to put MSG in mine 🙂 The beach front house is looking as good and inviting as it always does. Hi, Joe & Gift, I enjoyed your video. As you are living in Thailand I would convert a large number of dollars into BHT because this cannot continue going up. I work in pounds and the dollar is crushing the pound. I have never known it so low.
Being at Rocky Point is great I don't get why you guys bought the place if it is not going to be used. I'm sure you could rent it out. I would live there. It is out the way but very close to the city so you can have the best of both. I know you guys had plans of selling the house or Rocky so I take it you will keep the house and do something with Rocky. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Thank you 🙏. When we first bought Rocky Point it was because it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to have a cottage on the beach. I must admit that it was too soon after building our dream home which we love more and more each day. The good news is that we can always rent or sell.

I learned a valuable lesson when I first ventured out of Canada, concerning currency. I went to Jamaica and near the end of my stay I had to get some money out of a ATM, around $200. With the exchange rate being 25 to 1 that friggin machine was spitting out jamaican money like a pezze dispenser, so much so that I ran out of pockets. I might as well had a sign on me that said come rob me.Not going to do that again.

Joe, you mentioned going to Europe and the Euro. I just got back. I could not get the Euro at published forex rates. They don’t have exchange booths like Thailand. The rates were way below what you see online. Using a ATM all the banks in Italy were just as bad. They all charged at least 2% fee, plus lower rates. Might be better if you could exchange dollars for euro in Thailand.

In Italy the post office exchanges dollars. I was there in March. Xrate at that time was about 90 Euros for $100. Post office was offering 66 Euros for 100 USD. Bank ATM weren’t much better. Banks wouldn’t exchange unless you had account there. Thanks
Honestly. I’m not sure. Might be better just to purchase the euro from a bank in your own country. As for me, I can use the ATM’s on US military installations in Europe to get my euro with little to mo service fee and a good exchange rate.

Surprised they don't use Solar water heaters in Thailand. Would be more effective than the power shower heaters I would think.

I’m not sure about any 30 day check in. 90 day check yes, it can be accomplished online but some have complained that it doesn’t always work.

Joe if you could ask about land prices in your next video (particularly further inland in your area) it would be greatly appreciated! Ta and I plan to purchase 2 Rai or maybe an acre at the end of the year or by spring of 23, about 5 miles inland from the beach. I've searched some UA-cam videos but none were specific on prachuap Khiri khan and most were over a year old. Its just a suggestion my friend but if you or JJ come across some updated figures It would be a big help and greatly appreciated 👍 . Thanks guys for all you do !
