We're finally at Duelist Alliance! And we immediately skip Duelist Alliance for a Secrets of Eternity Qli deck and a The New Challengers Burning Abyss deck.
Secrets of Eternity was released in January 2015. This set introduced the Infernoids, a series of monsters that can Special Summon themselves to the field by banishing other Infernoids from either the hand or graveyard. Notable cards in set include Farfa, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss, Qliphort Monolith, Uni-Zombie, Nephe Shaddoll Fusion, and a card that would bolster Satellarknight to combat the Burning Abyss Shaddoll meta, Stellarknight Constellar Diamond. In this series, both Nyhmnim and myself will be opening 24 booster packs or 1 box of a core Yu-Gi-Oh! booster set. We will build a deck and play a best 2 out of 3, and the winner will receive a small prize to upgrade their deck. HOWEVER! Each episode, we will open another box of the next set that was released moving in chronological order, constantly upgrading our decks before dueling each other at the end of each episode. This is the Yu-Gi-Oh! Progression Series.
Bamboo Sword Qli was super cool, really loved getting to see MBT draw 2 cards and then immediately die. On the other hand, Norleras BA was equally epic. Watching Phantom of Chaos activate and get skill drained was truly incredible. Great episode all around!
19:04 At this point I'm convinced that the extra pend zones are generally not needed and you can keep using the master rule 5 field. Just please don't forget that you guys do have extra zones in this format
In this Era a lot of pend decks bolstered their lineup with Solemns and In archetype backrow. The 5 S/T zones can come up. Especially in very Monke flip style decks like Qli and Majespecter.
There was a BA player at my locals during 2016 NAWCQ format which used Noreleras since Beatrice was a light fairy you could banish for it. I played Kozmo at the time and it was basically an auto win against me if it resolved.

I hope I'm not the only person who, upon hearing Joseph explain Qliphort Stealth isn't affected by Skill Drain "because he's epic", thought for a fraction of a second "oh, guess that's just a ruling I hadn't heard of."
Between both History series, they've only used the MR3 board once, maybe twice. I have no idea why. Is it really that hard to just change the board when setting up the game?
SO not sure if this was changed down the line and the ruling works differently in Duelist Alliance format, but I am pretty sure that an unaffected monster being summoned with Skill Drain already face-up on the field will in fact have its effects negated, so Jospeh could not have bounced the Dante in game 3 with Stealth's effect. It's why I say effect copying of stuff which is not presentally on the field or HARD locked into an archetype is always going to be busted. We saw that with the Lyrilusc Neptune FTK, the Gem-Knight Burn FTK and DARK Pendulum FTK.
So excited to see the SkyScourge BA deck in action, but i hope yall bring it back again in the future since it gets so much better after Beatrice, fluffal support, and dangers are released
