The best part of the wheel is the uncertainty. When they know what the other is playing, they metagame from card one, and that feels disingenuous. They ignore what the deck would normally do because doing this other thing specifically counters the other deck. I prefer watching them figure out their opponent's deck and then adapt around it midgame.

First match cimoooo should have gone for dante to get sissors back in the gy, then he could have used it to stack a fluffal on top and ensure he hits a fluffal for the toy vender effect. From there he would have had two 3s on bord again and still go for zenmaines if he wants to and he would have had targets for soul charge (hopefuly from the dante).
Does that out reload? The zenmaines would stay on field for a few turns, but wouldn't do anything. Don't know fluffal so im just curious if he had a genuine out to the reload loop.
Super Heavy Samurai is legit one of my favorite monster archetypes, being able to attack in defense position is just such a cool ability (among the other things they have going for them.)
Man I love Superheavys, in Duel Links they are inmune to any Mirror force and basically inmunity to any ATK reduction effect, not to mention stealth ninja OTK.
I love Fkuffals but this is definitely the big jank period for them. They never get particularly good, but it's not until fusion enforcers that they feel useable at all. You need at least 3 cards to do anything, and then you get blown out by almost any disruption. I will say i think Cimo should have been going second, but with MBT getting access to Scattershot literally every game, it was heavily stacked against Cimo.

Superheavy was the first "real" deck that I ever put together. I remember being so excited to play this wacky all monster deck. I even took it to YCS Dallas 2015. good memories
Because his concern is being blown out by the field wipe from scatter shot, and when it's in the graveyard reload can banish itself to send a volcanic monster, which will have been sent to the graveyard by the effect of a blaze Cannon so it will wipe the board. In other words, firing the MST doesn't stop the play he was so concerned about.
It's easy to forget the effect of Edge Imp Sabres in the GY but it is one of the only things that make this deck playable. Pretty sure Alex had game 1 if he remembered.
@Empress Carrie problem is he went 1st in the first 2 games when it's a hard going 2nd deck always has been, but obviously you still pray if MBT playing heavy ft volcanics hopefully he doesn't raigeki you.

This is like...around when I was coming back, maybe a bit earlier...and Fluffal and Superheavy Samurais were two archetypes I remember trying to build just because I got quite a bit of cards for them both. Fluffal unfortunately had to be stapled to a small Dinomist package just to help get monsters out and have 40 cards for a deck. So fun to see what they were supposed to look like.
Two of my favourite decks going head to head. Loved it... sort of. Watching fluffals not truely shown to their potential was a little sad, but I hope that when it resurfaces it'll be played again

It is an "And if you do" effect, hence Cimo could have chained MST to destroy the card and because it is a Continuous Trap, the effect won't resolve and thus Scatter Shot won't have a chance to trigger. The GY effect also won't have a chance to be used because this was "End of Main", as Joseph said - though they might be generous with this.
Funny how we get superheavy Samurai in history of jank when currently they became meta. Not to mention this jank list is also running volcanics which also recently got support, and the other deck is fluffals one of my favorite decks to play. I notice the deck isn't on dark fusion. That was something that I played back in the day cause it helped the attacks with fusions would go through. Not having to worry about targeting effects that turn. Honesty couldn't have asked for a better Jank match up this week.

Super heavy was my first real deck when I got back into duel links. It was cheap, the entire deck could be made from one box, it was fun with its anti Meta defense position strategy, and it was actually good!
Not that it mattered in the first game, because you had game before you did it, but Trumpeter locks you into super heavy samurai for the turn when specialed.
For everyone who is wondering why Cimo didnt just pop the Blaze Accelerator: Reload can be banished from grave to use its effect anyways, so no matter what, one scattershot is coming through, so unless you can somehow 5Head your opponent into wasting the shot, the scattershot is inevitable

Cimooo cheating with dog triggering on gy summon and not knowing that he could pitch toy vendor with toy vendor to trigger the gy effect is definitely what i expect for this series and im so into it, probably triggered the fluffal community that saw 20+ lines to the worst/least interesting version of fluffal
So far I’m the only one to point out MBT special summoning non super heavy samurai when he special summons trumpeter from hand which locks you into super heavy samurai.
I know there are like 30 superheavy samurai cards in mbt's deck, but if I didn't see the decklist, I swear he would just be on volcanics with some warriors.
To be fair, early fluffal support was exactly this; super inconsistent, impossible to set up a fusion that would just lose to everything else in the format. Fluffals got pretty good and fun by the time Kraken came out, but it was painful playing this deck trying to get Wolf otk's going.
this was pretty sweet, i was super excited to see fluffle, but i didn't know that fluffle didnt get tiger or any of the others till later and it's like... WOOOooooowwww... like you have wolf and be.... you have wolf, and like wolf is a solid OTK enabler but it has like 0 good set up potential and it's lack of attack is just not good enough. bear is quite possibly one of the worst fusions of all of them, there are a few and i do mean VERY FEW situations where it's effect could be useful but bleh. as far as how well it was played, like there was a few cool strats you can do like pitch vender to vender to search, or use edge imp sabers grave effect to stack your deck with a fluffle to SS. but i don't think it would have made a difference, good game yall, thanks for the amazing show i look forward to this every week!

Cimooo cheating with dog triggering on gy summon and not knowing that he could pitch toy vendor with toy vendor to trigger the gy effect is definitely what i expect for this series and im so into it, probably triggered the fluffal community that saw 20+ lines to the worst/least interesting version of fluffal
So far I’m the only one to point out MBT special summoning non super heavy samurai when he special summons trumpeter from hand which locks you into super heavy samurai.
I cant wait for more supper heavy sam support for more jank videos with it.
As a player playing shs at this time scales turbo was THEE most competitive way to play this.
I know there are like 30 superheavy samurai cards in mbt's deck, but if I didn't see the decklist, I swear he would just be on volcanics with some warriors.
To be fair, early fluffal support was exactly this; super inconsistent, impossible to set up a fusion that would just lose to everything else in the format.
Fluffals got pretty good and fun by the time Kraken came out, but it was painful playing this deck trying to get Wolf otk's going.
this was pretty sweet, i was super excited to see fluffle, but i didn't know that fluffle didnt get tiger or any of the others till later and it's like... WOOOooooowwww... like you have wolf and be.... you have wolf, and like wolf is a solid OTK enabler but it has like 0 good set up potential and it's lack of attack is just not good enough. bear is quite possibly one of the worst fusions of all of them, there are a few and i do mean VERY FEW situations where it's effect could be useful but bleh.
as far as how well it was played, like there was a few cool strats you can do like pitch vender to vender to search, or use edge imp sabers grave effect to stack your deck with a fluffle to SS. but i don't think it would have made a difference, good game yall, thanks for the amazing show i look forward to this every week!

As someone who has lost to Fluffall a handful of times I always forget how… Bad it started as
looking forward to an actual jank episode cause recent episodes have been archtpye/one specific GOOD card focused when that's not jank at all.
