      You suck! The scenes we loved in the drama were not written by you, were they? You just stole them. What you did do and are doing in this interview as well is justify violence and that too by a man toward a woman. The drama is full of tappers.. not just that one. Then as if thappar wasn’t enough you made a wife spit on her husband. That’s despicable and so unwarranted. Spitting is an act of pure indignation that could only have been justified had Maryam done it to Malik Zubair and only if he had tried to assault her. But in the Maryam Zubair scene you didn’t add even a tappar. What happened to your ‘situation demanding tappar’ in that case where it was actually needed? Instead, You made a mother hit a daughter, a male cousin hit a female cousin, an aunt hitting both her nieces. And you say this is ‘situation demanding it’?
      And as if you weren’t satisfied with your toxicity , you are now going ahead to show us a marital rape scene? We are so done with you Nooran Makhdoom. We are not living in caves anymore. We don’t take this shit. 🤬🤬😤🤮🤮🤮

    I have seen sooo many drama’s since 2019, but honestly speaking Tere Bin is my favourite drama & the best Pakistani show I’ve ever watched!! I have to give so much credit to this brilliant talented writer who firstly has written in my opinion the best ever male hero lead (Murtasim). Honestly speaking I’ve learnt so much from his character whch shows the impact it has had - from Nooran’s writing & ofc Wahaj’s performance which has been to perfection. The credit goes to her for writing such funny comical scenes as well as the character arcs & twists & turns in the story which have been so entertaining to watch. Thank you so much Nooran Saiba for giving us such a compelling & engaging story which is just pure entertainment & actually has broken so many stereotypes. I really can’t wait for the rest of the drama. 22 episodes in & I’m absolutely glued to my screen. Thank You Team Fuchsia & Rabia for conducting this interview - so important to give writers their due credit! Please interview my favourite actor & the one & only Wahaj Ali 💙 next!! I really want to see his interview in the studio like this!

    In the whole interview, she’s just praising her writing as if she has written some masterpiece when the entire world has already accepted the writing is shitty full of loop holes… it’s just the chemistry of lead pair and their strong influence have made the drama successful and in the end she’s going to ruin the best character and justifying it as a high point of rage and reaction to a horribly written miscommunication and misunderstandings 👏👏👏

  • @zahrasalah
    @zahrasalah Рік тому +104

    This was much needed how beautifully she elaborated Murtasim and Meerub's characters Nooran Makhdoom you are love...
    so the crux of Tere Bin is the journey of Meerub falling for Murtasim and eventually forgiving the pain that fate has caused her and of Murtasim owning and supporting her while acknowledging her pain. What a love story it is going to be...
    Btw i think if Murtasim had not slapped Meerub, she would never have spoken her heart out to him the same night in the lawn and Murtasim would never developed a soft spot for her, so it kinda served that purpose of Murtasim looking into the whole matter from Meerub's standpoint after that conversation...

    • @ayeshaali864
      @ayeshaali864 Рік тому +8

      Slaps are not the way to understand a person’s point of view. Slaps are degrading, demeaning and especially for men slapping women. Men are physically stronger showing brute force. Only shows a man’s low character. Disappointed 😔 Murtassim.

    • @zahrasalah
      @zahrasalah Рік тому +1

      @ayeshaali864 you are right but what i meant was that there needed to be an ice breaker for Murtasim to sympathise with Meerub for him to start that conversation, which then leads to him understanging her state of mind, as he would never do so coz of his ego...so they used the chapair...

    • @ayeshaali864
      @ayeshaali864 Рік тому +3

      Showing slaps in our drama for any reason need to stop no justification. Physical abuse/ violence especially against women need to change , discouraged and look down upon. I am glad Geo as per Siraj bhai agreed to change the culture. Thank you!

    • @zahrasalah
      @zahrasalah Рік тому +3

      @ayeshaali864 as i said above i agree am not justifying the chapair at all...but i believe there are other important issues that should not be shown either and the chapair doesnt come close to that, like zabardasti ki shadi, jadu tuna, etc. And here we are calling Meerub arrogant, rude and what not for not accepting Murtasim...
      Criticism should be done fairly not selectively...

    Meerab has got to be the most misunderstood character I've ever observed in Pakistami television. It's pretty evident that the Pak audience isn't used to seeing a female protagonist on T.V. who doesn't fold easily, who is resilient, and self-assured. Just super unfortunate that her character is getting so much criticism becuase there is so much to learn from her and what she represents.

      I think part of the issue with Meerub is that she meddles into things that are not her business anyway. If she were to stay strong and not budge when forced, it would be easier to understand her. She is traumatized and yet she starts behaving weirdly. The first time she went with her maid to fight in the street, then she started dancing on her walima with strangers, then she got an extremely elaborate dinner planned with just one kind of meat - fish, then taking bullets out of a freshly loaded gun. All these things are not mature behaviour. It is hasty, irrational behaviour. I would've loved Meerub to be strong yet balanced. Murtasim is more balanced. He listens but he also stands up for Meerub or against injustice. A big part of the problems with Meerub are the surrounding characters like Waqqas and mom. The way they behave regarding her is also unjustified.

    Ok the writer faced alot of backlash for meerab’s characterisation and the storyline.But now when I heard from the writer herself about her life story, background and her inspirations.I see it all reflect into her characters. She took a concept of feudal family and gave it a contemporary and larger than life touch.
    Meerab’s behaviour is totally a reaction to the turn of events in her life. She had to take it out so she had focused her bitterness on Murtasim.She wanted him to refuse to marry her after all this that happened.But he didn’t listen to her because of her poor attitude.I love the complexity of both the characters of Murtasim and Meerab.
    Murtasim turned out be a hidden gem for Meerab. In the guise of a fuedal lord , he is actually a caring person who can’t see his family members suffer. He disliked Meerab for her jumpy nature but was drawn towards her from day 1 ,as she reminds him of the freedom that he lost after taking his father’s place at young age.I believe he would love her more than he do and would fulfil all her wishes.

    I thought I was the only person to come here to ask her - Kyaa Fook kar aapne aaj ka Episode likha tha, Madam ? Because I simply can't believe someone in their right mind, that too a woman, would write such a scene. Gazab Madam !
    Even if you show Murtasim regretting it later and Meerub coming back to him, it will not change the fact that Marital R@pe is a lived reality of many women in this subcontinent. Imagine them watching the scene and reliving the Horrors.
    What is even more astonishing that someone in the Production House approved this Scene. Then People sat down and discussed how it will be directed and acted. Not one person had the decency to suggest Maybe we don't do the entire sequence of Slapping, Spitting and Marital R@pe. Absolutely Disgusting !

    Rabia, I was a fan and you reminded me again of why you deserve all that adoration. Jitni khoobsoorti, izzat and strength ke saath you express your views, is just amazing. This is an amazing and very interesting interview to listen. Nooran Makhdoom is very interesting and entertaining to hear out. She is confident on her own and in her craft, is fun to listen, and is well versed with her reality. A lot of her thoughts seem to have originated from her lived experiences and some thoughts like, "women in feudal families are powerful", "Thappad is necessary", "Mard ko supremacy dene se kya hard hai", are definitely problematic, and yet she comes across as someone who is very honest in her thoughts and retains a voice to express them loud and clear. Her thoughts would probably evolve further but her clarity about her characters and her craft is so beautiful to hear out. There are so many parts in the entire conversation where she echoed so many of our collective thoughts, like, "Romance is a beautiful thing and women love to watch sensible romance both on and off screen", "how a character has to retain its core no matter the circumstance", "how supportive and saath chalne wala partners and parents are so crucial to a woman's success", "the difference between being rude in general and being rude to a specific someone due to a certain circumstance", "Meerab's internal conflict and her evolving thoughts and feelings", "Murtasim's character development and his reasons to be what he is and what he does", "Maa begum and Haya's character layouts", these are all just wonderful to listen. On the whole it is such a good interview piece and Rabia, you have done it really well. This is a job well done for you and for Nooran ji, please rethink about the slap scenes and congratulations on a well-deserved and hard earned success.
