I have read the whole manga and after my full analysis i give it a critic score of 7.3/10 because unlike the anime the manga not only has its own unique artstyle it also captivates the emotions of the characters in a much more deeper aspect which gives depth to the characters. It also has a unique plot and good character development. The plot progression goes a bit into diffrent directions after each arc which is a major flaw to the story. It also has some poor writing choices as well which takes away a lot from what the story could have shown more through it's theme. But the managa is good as far as part one goes. The anime is ass I have to agree with you there and you prove good points on how the anime takes away from what made the manga special and it also fails to captivate the feelings of the characters as well as completly changing their designs which is another major letdown in the show. It also cuts out a lot of content that was in the manga in which the manga actually showed more of denjis character but mappa conpletly cut it out. They also got the wrong voice actor for denji cause he sounds like an idiot who cant properly potray emotion through his voice. And they even completly fucked up the script as well which just makes it even worse. And you my friend have just gained another subscriber. Great content 👍

Hardcore disagree, granted I only made it to something like chapter 90ish but the whole thing was just utter garbage. It somehow cycles between being meandering nonsense with no depth or destination to rushed spam with even less context or consistency. The characters are disposable, their motivations are trivial if even stated or expressed, and the entire universe (rules, etc.) is reminiscent of a kid who didn't read the book making up his book report at the last second after reading the back page summary. I really don't understand how anyone has any sort of positive outlook on this steaming pile of garbage but everywhere I go (internet and real life) there are no lack of people trying to bend over backwards to justify polishing this turd. -5/10.
@@nodnarbstreams4984 i do agree with what you have to say but, in some defense, the universe i’m pretty sure is similarly based off of jjk (due to the authors being friends and all) which is also why the power systems and some parts of the stories can also be compared. the reason why the characters motivates we’ll just go with denji for the sake of simplicity and because its almost 2 am for me. the reason why denji’s goal is to have a normal life + touch boobs is because he was on the verge of death when he was a kid and never got to experience what its like living a life where you aren’t constantly having to pay off debt, or a life where you have something to call a family. for his short term goal (which then became somewhat more long term) is pretty much representing how he wants someone to show him love and affection. honestly its kind of confusing for me but if i had to guess, denji saying he wants to touch boobs instead of wanting to be loved is probably because he doesn’t realize what he exactly want when he means love which is why he’s more lustful in part one. for the pacing i can see why most people will think events went by too fast in part one (even if still think that honestly), but if i had to guess, my two reasons would be because in part one, its more chaotic and action packed, unlike part two (there still is action in part 2, but everything is less rushed besides the art for some chapters and around 2-3 fights which shouldn’t be considered fights but whatever). my 2nd reason would be because im pretty sure he said somewhere that he doesn’t add much dialogue/context to certain things so that the reader can have their own interpretations over it overall, i personally think that chainsaw man is good, its not the best, but it suits me, so for part one, i give it a 9/10, and for part two i give it a 8.5/10 (since even though a lot of problems in part one were improved in part two, i still want to learn a bit more about the famine devil and/or see her talk about makima (if you didn’t know, the famine, war/yoru, and makima/control devils are all sisters.)
I think anime as a whole needs to change we need more mature characters, storylines, battles, themes, and character arcs. Thus far I think that most anime say roughly 90% feel immature and seemingly made for an audience in their teens from a long gone Era ( teens circa 1970-1995/6)
