So useful! Thank you for showing the process of adding the modifier to stop the mesh from zeroing out. Couldn't find any other good guides on what I knew had to be a simple process.
I was wondering how do I control the f-curve modifier, looked it up and fortunately you just uploaded this :) Some other tutorial tend to drag on, this was simple and straight to the point
I wish there was a way to add a modifier, to scale the response, because sometimes audio doesn't have as wide a range as the file you chose in this tutorial
this is as far as i know the only tutorial that shows .wav being used, but i keep running into the issue of the value hitting nan(ind) almost instantly when i try to use my .wav files
Thanks for the tutorial! Is there a reliable way in 2.8 to "unbake" and edit these curves? I found a couple scripts but they crash 2.8. All I've been able to do that looks good so far is pick a very narrow frequency range and manually keyframe an action and use the baked sound curve as a visual reference for my points. Other than I could edit the sound and make muted track that drives the animation that is smoother than the one that you hear. I would really like to be able to smooth baked the f curves. Any 2.8 ideas?
I converted an SVG to a 3D model. I want the object to pulsate to the music. I am having a hell of a time trying to get it to work. I don't know how to control the motion of the animation when I bake to f curve. I'm thinking I may be working with too small an SVG or something because there is barely any movement. I'll keep trying and looking through tutorials.
I am trying to make a light's intensity react to sound. When it bakes the curve, it's just way too low to have any visible difference, and for some reason Blender won't let me change it. Ideas?
Hey so theres a noise modifier that does a sine wave in the + - value How would I get the song to use both the + and - values and when the song gets quiet(No sound) it would return to 0?
Are you able to control Emission strength with the bake sound? Seems like its only scale, rotation and location. I want the emission to brighten to the music.
@@khondokerkabbyoshariar3453 add key frame > bake sound to f-curve (your emission strength depends upon the amplitude of f-curve) > add Envelope modifier > "Add points" > increase Max and Min control points to get result according to yourself
Thanks Steven. You’ve given me many ideas to learn Blender with.

cheers, this week I have client work, but I'll try and get some more stuff done covering the graph editor and modifiers
DUDE thank you for this tutorial!! It took me SO long to find somebody that explains how to MODIFY the keyframes!! Everyone just, BAKe. that's it!!!
"Slightly disturbing, yet erotic at the same time" Killed me lmao Great tutorial

This helped me with an issue that was doing my head in. Cheers.
Wdym, i cant even find fucking find bake sound to F-curve. Its driving me insane
Instantly resolved my issue, thank you.
tysm for this tutorial!! helped me a lot
thanks bro Steven.. quick and to the point
great and exceedingly simple tutorial for this wonderfully useful feature of blender :) respect..

exactly what i was looking for, thank you
Thanks you save my day)
You are amazing! Thanks alot!
this was really helpful thank you.
Fantastic video! Is there a way to manipulate the individually baked keyframes from in the fcurve from the audio?
I wish there was a way to add a modifier, to scale the response, because sometimes audio doesn't have as wide a range as the file you chose in this tutorial
How does one edit the f curve of the audio? Say if the highest peak only reaches 3 but i want it to reach up to 10 whilst still keeping 0 at 0?
Exactly what I'm wondering, did you find the answer ?
Edit : my bad it's using bake action ua-cam.com/video/vDLXsHGpncI/v-deo.html
I love when i fal on your videos 'cuz of you accent lol
How make f curves higher? I mean change volume. or how say that? I need output more than 1.000
just in case others need this, add modifier envelope, then add control point.. play with the value

I've tried baking my music to my f curve but the "wave"/animation is not as strong as yours? How do I increase the intensity of my f curves?

How to activate bake sound to f curves.
It is not working. Should I change anything in user preferences?
Can you ease fcurve animation?
Bake to Sound is in grey, can't even add a sound. Stuck, any ideas ?
What did I do wrong if I can't find "Bake Sound to F-Curves" option at the graph editor Key selection? I followed every step
This is for Blender 2.8 in the latest versions they changed the name of that option or moved it somewhere else I believe
Where do i can find bake sound to f curve in blender 4 ?

you can do this with anything, just go to emission strength and key frame it then do same
