Something fun that I noticed is that on-kill perks from swords also get triggered by the orbs thrown by gifted conviction. I crafted a false Idols with chain reaction and strategist and when I use Ascension it blows up the whole room and refills my class ability instantly. This also works for things like the stormbringer perk on Ergo Sum so you could summon a lightning storm every time you use Ascension
I have arc conductor..I want the storm bringer!
It also triggers on the ascension AOE not just gifted conviction bombs

You don’t need max mobility - amplified gives you +50 mobility and last long enough to recover full class ability if you have 50 base stat and using marksman dodge

Anything past 60-70 is pointless. Put points somewhere else
@@itztizzle still nice having high mobility for movement/strafe/initial jump height...could technically go with 30 mobility if you pair amplified with a lightweight weapon as well (which gives +20 mobility while it's equippedt)
Made this exact build, I’ve only watched the first min of the video but man I agree. There is so many ways to take it and I’ve been finding it hard to decide which way I want to go. One thing is for sure tho, grapple is necessary for the maximum amount of fun.
The strand melee might be a better play. Slowing is nice but i like severing to cut their damage and being able to make tangles, you also get just as much darkness transcendence because you can regenerate most of its cost by catching it and destroying tangles
You can spam ascension about every 5 seconds on arc and you get gathering storm for super. Flow state aspect supercharges your class regen while amplified, this stacks on top of 100 mobility regen rate (but you only need 50 due to amplified).
BUT. Prismatic gives better melee options and even more DR via super related buffs.
More lethality on Arc, more DR and flexibility on prismatic.
This is exactly how I felt about it..more lethal on arc...good damage resistance on prismatic...im glad I didn't let the initial talk of this exotic stop me from using it.

Dude thank you! Finally someone who’s actually testing that various fragments, mods, etc actually proc with ascension. So many people making build videos just using pointless mods and things thinking they proc when they don’t
I feel like... when you say there is a lot going on, that's a fair statement, but really all that matters is galvanic armor and going attack helicopter mode on cd. Everything in between is for kicks and giggles.
Went through the Legend campaign on my Hunter with this build, except I used Ergo Sum with the Wave Frame Arc Conductor roll. It's pretty hard to die.
Damn I wish I was like you, using all those new exotics in the legend campaign would’ve felt like cheating for me lol. I just used foetracer and the grapple exotic
Been loving gifted conviction, it looked so bad in the trailer, but has been such an amazing piece in game
They didn't mention the damage resistance that's why
Winter's shroud is also good in place of GPG as well for even faster ability energy when you slow with melee or grenade, or weapon

Definitely. Depends on the activity, but arc with the blind on top of the resist definitely rewards a very aggressive play style. It's wild how good arc is just because you are survivable.
E: you also like, tank for your team? Blinding and absorbing fire allows for much smoother runs for your team mates. I cleared fallen saber in 9 minutes with 2 people using fire team finder this morning. It's wild.

Not completely sure but I believe that Utility kickstart mods do work on the class item. Their description refers to “class energy spent” as opposed to “using class ability.” I haven’t tested it thoroughly but I think it works.
Its 50% resist at X 4 !!! 25% at 1x

This seems really fun, and also isn't one of those builds that leaves you without options.
Love all the new Exotic armor pieces. The amount of Threadlings from a Prismatic Balance of Power build puts Strand Warlock to shame.
A build I've been enjoying a Warlock Healer Build. With the Boots of the Assembler, with the Helion Aspect, which allows you to keep Helion Buddy up almost 100%.
On Solar Warlock, you can really build in Ability spam, and add the survivability of everyone in your team. Running Lumina, and the No Hesitation (Healer crafted roll). Which ever heavy you wish to use. Really good when keeping Guardians alive for carries.
Though I think this build could be modified to fit Prismatic. I am building and testing it currently.

As a Hunter main, I remember on the first week of final shape there was a lot of build videos coming out with combination blow on prismatic. I personally feel that combination blow on prismatic is not as fun as on an arc subclass. So I made a build with this exotic and quickly fell in love with it. It’s so good, even inside GMs. For the class mods, I like to use double utility kickstart. With 4 armor charges, it refills your class ability halfway.
I saved to watch when I finally crack open hunter. Gardening is priority in summer
Just wanted to add I actually beat the new GM with this build but I highly recommend using a heavy that can apply volt like hullabaloo and finishers to apply a debuff to go invis on demand.
I run this build with the threaded spike melee and a voltshot glaive. 30% DR from T10 resil, 50% DR from exotic, 45% DR from woven mail, 30% DR from artifact, 15% DR from Protection, 90% DR from Glaive sheild, and sever causes targets to do 30% less damage. You can literally tank GM shots like it's nothing. All together it is like 99% less damage. Glaive might be overkill and even without, it is like 92% less damage.
Utility Quickstart works with it. I run 2 of them running this with a full ark build. I have it back almost instantly every time I use it.
Idea to test DR: get Carl to shoot you until you wipe to get base line then get DR and do it again. Compare time to kill and covert to percentage that should be percentage of DR
I run the same build but with snare bomb and tether. Levis with the extra dmg from weaken is crazy this season. Plus any kill with levi procs stylish executioner. The key to this build imo is the ionic traces to feed all abilities back
I have an arc variant of this, and the mod interactions being broken drives me insane.
Like, I'd love to vacuum orbs and heal when I'm out there making myself 100% more vulnerable, but nope. Gotta drop and look for them.
Worth noting that ~50 mobility is necessary, don't need to go higher as amplified gives a free 50 stat boost to mobility.
I want the mod interactions fixed so bad, I'd use the build way more if it all functioned properly.
I would say if running indebted kindness then run an exotic primary such as outbreak or khovostov
Remember when hunters were the glass cannon class who sacrificed survivability for more damage and offensive output instead of having the best damage survivability and utility in the game
Still trying to figure out what super/elemental buff is better, void overshield or frost armor

i just use this exotic on normal arc and it works extremely well. using double special with conditional finality and indepted kindness

Have been running this exotic on arc subclass and remembered i did previously because arc staff bipasses barrier immune shield on ads

Watched the video,and found it very interesting, the mods on the class item doesn't work you explained.does that also includes " utility kickstart " because the wording is different, expended it says instead of using. Bungie and words are almost as confusing as there coding😢😢

I’m not seeing the value in hard content when you have to get close quarters to even activate the DR. when the GM’s like the Glassway is back this will be a No No but it’s fun I guess lol
Volt shot doesn’t require you to be up close though?
@@JarJarBricks01you still have to be somewhat close he said 10-15 meters when you jolt them with a weapon to get the DR
@@S-TierIguess Correct, Maven didn't mention that in her video and I just saw the full description in the compendium. I think the Cyrtracne + Renewal class item is probably better than all of this as a result. Especially once Galvanic Armor goes away, since you can replace it with the slow dodge for 25% DR.
I used this exotic on a couple of glassway gm runs and was able to beat it.

Not true. With stylish exec survival is fine in GMs. I dont even bother with Gifted Conviction - prefer an exotic cloak with spirits of Galanor and Coyote. Coyote is amazing with ascension as you can spam it. Farmed this weeks GM over 15 times with very few deaths
I did a GM without dying once so I dunno. Just play smart
It absolutely works in GM. You just need to put on the armor mod 'play properly'.

im farming this week w arc gifted conviction. Thunderlord takes care of the overloads, blinding w indebted kindness, blast furance (kinetic pulse of choice for anti barrier) (All champs covered). Honestly better for me in a team setting than liars + calibans
