I own an 01 2500 suburban with nearly 300,000 miles on it. One of the finest vehicle I have ever owned. Still on the road.
My dad has a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban C1500 with 360,000 miles on it and it is still running strong, a couple of my siblings don't understand how long these old things last and also, the newer 2018 Suburban we got is also a C1500 and it is doing pretty decent
I appreciate how they still carry the tradition of keeping the column shifter. I find it so badass on these. I love it! Hope they keep it on them for many more years!!
Edit: Can’t believe it’s gone now! Not many vehicles have it anymore.
I miss them so much. I hate the new button selector in the new ones.

I was so pissed when I heard about that! Maybe the Escalade is fine, but they could have left it on the suburbans! Especially fleet and police orders or even make it an option like Dodge Ram trucks.

To me it was the last garunteed vehicle that would have that gear shift. Weather in a taxi, renting one, company car or buying one. Was an old school feature that was on its last legs and is now dying. Nowdays everything is about pressing a button and letting the car drive itself.
@@42luke93 Yep I kinda miss everything being more manual. My friend traded in her 2016 to a 2021 and she says she misses it because it was one less thing you had to worry about messing up.

Aw I feel so sorry for her! I probably would go with those Chevrolet Express conversion vans now. I hear they are affordable for the luxury too and are more old school.
The world's first SUV is still the best SUV. Chevrolet Suburban is such a well put together vehicle.
Mr. Pink it is made to be like an suv, it actually has a chevy 2500 truck frame. All it is is a chevy truck with a cover on the bed. That's why I love the suburban.
Thank you Chevy. If it was not for the crash protection of the suburban I would not be here today.

@Car enthusiast because Scotty is biased about Toyota and hates GM
From Belgium/ my first suburban was a 1997'model. Now I've just bought a 2008 model. Just for pleasure....and make the road a happy moment. Stephan.(48)
There have been many Suburbans in my life, all excellent trucks. '86, '91, '94, two '99s and an '01. We still have one of the '99s, a Pewter K1500 LT.
Mine is 46 years old and runs like an absolute beast
My dad had a 94 suburban and damn i still love that truck could go anywhere without trouble when real trucks used made of metal no worries about technology cloth seats or leather actual real chrome metal bumper and now its gone and i really miss it and then i noticed why people love there family car from back then its like a family meer RIP 1994-2017
i've always loved the tahoes, suburbans, sierras/silverados, & the big chevy/gmc trucks when i was a kid, because they are badasses. chevy you are the best
I love the GM Suburbans/Yukon Xl's and always will. I own a few old 2500 Big Blocks. They are not only family/work vehicles, they are family members to me and will never leave...the more I buy the bigger my collection gets🤠 Thank you GM!
This is my favorite SUV from Chevy!!!
I got a 97. :D
On my 3rd Suburban now !! Looks 100% exactly like the one in this video at 0:12 !!! It's a '01 1500 LT with 240K miles on original drivetrain just basic maintenance !! I bought it for "Peanuts" back in 2014 when gas was $$$. Have driven it around country with NO major issues !! Next year looking at a 07-Newer style !!!
I have always wanted a Suburban
Once..here in Argentina..i ve heard a yank say.."Baseball..Hot Dogs..Apple pie..and Chevrolet...that s America in a nutshell"..😁
My dad and uncles..in the family we owed the good ol C-10..
Gracias.. Chevrolet...😊
I just love this video. I've probably watched it 25 times. Just so interesting.
My dad owned a 1972 3/4 ton we had 4 squares of shingles in the back over the back axle he could push mud up and past the bumper and it was only a 2WD and it could go past 120mph what a truck wished I had it now
Amazing SUV
I love my 1998 454 2500 Suburban!
I had two suburbans
The 1987 I crashed on it
It was fine with a few dents.... me however, I felt like I fell down the roof because I was bruised for days
The 2013 crashed, it was not fine, turned to shit, but I was fine, not even a small bruise
Chevys are improving on safety, thank you
Chevy for life
The Chevy Suburban is my favorite car!
I saw this truck when I was 2 years old and I was born in April 21, 2003 so I saw it in 2005 and it’s my childhood truck and my dream truck that I’ll have one day
I owen 1988 c20 to any one that is thinking of buying a full size SUV suburban is the way to go.the LS 5.3 if taken care of can go well over 250,000miles oil change transmission service gear oil change and is still the only SUV easy to work on if you like to do it yo self.try that with any dam ford or foreign brand SUV.plus parts are easy to get
Like a rock
Happy birthday
I already have the 2019 premier.
My parents ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ this car!
Suburban is a Legendary vehicle from México.
Not all of them. Most were built in Arlington,TX.
My grandgather "RIP" owned a 1979 suburban with a manual transmission. My father owned a 1998 SLE suburban. I now own a Ford. FML
Dante's peak
Taho gets no love?
0:09 I never knew suburbans were school buses
Actually they still do in some parts of the country. last year I visited New York and they had some yellow suburban 2500s with school bus markings on them
😳😳
I think all the CR staff disliked this video.
Am I the only one who noticed they never showed the new suburban going off-road like the old ones. How exactly are we supposed to know if it's as capable as a truck as it is a car?
There will be a facelifted Chevrolet Suburban next year as a 2020 model.
Eu gostei ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I would say that your Car is great. That's all. From a Ford Guy. But I want to see a better SUV that will kick the Expedition Max's ass.
Greetings
Should be in the refrigerator all categories of one or more private in family cars
This is not a stranger to the giant company
Thank Chevrolet
Thanks a lot Chevrolet for not including the gmt800 !!!
Now my 01 suburban 1500 with 325,000 original miles is in the garage corner crying 😡you really hurts it’s feelings
There are several GMT 800 Suburban's in that montage. At the :12 sec mark, :59 sec mark and 1:31 mark,
It was GMC for some years wasn't it
Yeah and it still is. The GMC name change from GMC Suburban to GMC Yukon XL back in 2000

You could not find one to match they the government chrushed a lot of that years models
80 years of getting crushed by ford
80 years of ford trying to catch up. What has been fords best suv in the past 80 years? Exactly.
***** id take consistancy over sales spirts any day of the week. Oh and back to the real question...what has been fords best selling suv for the past 80 years? "Exactly"
***** The best selling SUV in the United States for 2014 was the Honda CR-V. The Escape was #2, Equinox #3, Toyota Rav-4 #4, Explorer was 5th. The Tahoe was 12th and the only full-size SUV in the top 20.
Ford's equivalent to the Suburban is the Expedition, which has not done nearly as well as the Suburban and the Tahoe. And to look back at historical equivalents, nothing has had long term success against the Suburban. The Excursion was a lot of heavier than the Suburban, had its good and bad qualities but was not a true sales success. The Full-Size Bronco was pitted against the Blazer and that is a conversation for elsewhere. The Bronco Centurion was lined up to compete with the Suburban, and is a cool vehicle in my opinion, but did not displace the Suburban's dominance.
And despite the Escape's success, the Ford Escape and Chevy Suburban are not compatible vehicles. The Escape is a compact crossover and the Suburban is a Extended Length SUV built on a truck chassis. The closest Crossover equivalent is the current generation Explorer, a very successful vehicle but it is lined up to compete with the Traverse, though it can be identified as a competitor to the Tahoe and Suburban.
+WALDO HA I found you, Waldo!
I have always wanted a Suburban
