0:15 "Sabaw", just generic soup. "nilagang baka" (beef soup, not bulalo) I think. 1:11 "Menudo", beef or chicken in tomato sauce, potatoes, etc. 1:56 "Giniling" (or "Picadillo", ground beef with potatoes etc.), and meatballs 2:54 "Cascaron", fried rice doughnuts 3:40 "Puso", rice steamed in woven coconut leaves, you just rip it open 5:38 Lemongrass ("tanglad"), you don't eat it. It's just there for the flavor, like bay leaf. 6:39 Ube and taro are different plants. Ube is a vine. Taro is a plant with big leaves. 7:17 Don't know. Might be a modern version of 2:54 8:50 "Tuslob buwa", brain and liver with spices, eaten with puso rice while being constantly heated. 10:22 Bantayan Island, an island north of Cebu, also a tourist spot 12:23 I have genuinely no idea what they're talking about. 13:04 "Sama ako?" ("Should I come with you?" or "Can I tag along?"), it's a joke. Kuya probably meant "Can I come with you to Korea?" 14:30 Jeepneys and buses will have their destination written on the side and on the windshield. Depending on the city, they might also be color-coded. But yes, it's better to ask a local.
Remember in lechon you have? those things that you called vegetables that came with it are called LEMONGRASS they are there to make the lechon more fragrant and gives a bit of a lemon taste, you are not supposed to eat them, they serve like star anise or laurel leaf that are not meant to be eaten.
You deserve more subscribers! I usually feel bored watching long videos but i find myself watching all your videos. Happy to see that your enjoying in the Philippines..by the way i discovered your vlog thru tiktok
Your channel is amazing! You have a new subscriber. A little transportation hack for next time in the Philippines: if you really need to be somewhere fast, take a motorbike taxi.. they can drive through traffic jam and there is always one not too far away from you
I love you! It hurts me seeing you riding jeepneys going to the airport rather than using Grab service or taxi for convenience lol but I guess that's part of the experience! Next time you come here to Cebu, I suggest using Grab car or Angkas Motor to move from one place to another faster! Take care!
i think you have to drink more water, or always bring water with you, so you will not be dehydrated and have more energy. Because its too hot in the phillippines and polluted, so my advice is rehydrate. bring your water with you as always.
How do you know which bus or cab to ride in? I’m so confused when I went to Cebu alone so I ended up using grab every time and it’s so expensive! 😭 I enjoy your vlogs so much!
if you want to ask where they buy their food or sumthing, just say "saan mo po yan binili/nabili?" means where did you buy this/that? bcoz some filipinos doesn't understand english very well especially kids
You have been drinking a lot of Coke. That has a lot of sugar, it will make you sick. It will be better to just drink water if you will be eating street food.
She needs more subscribers! I love her solo documentary of local travels in the Philippines. Especially finding budget meals.
Thank you always😊😊 I hope you have a great day!!!

the man who said or is asking Samako(samago) means I'll go with you or can I go with you
those kids were saying that you "pasa" means to send the picture to a Facebook to their account named "Red Black Red"
@5:44 i guess that's lemon grass!😂
"samago" i think he meant "sama ako" in tagalog that means, he wants to go with you.
