Port Glasgow has been my home for a lot of years now and Greenock. But I’m a foreigner here, I’m an English man from Norwich but spent half my life up here. Funny how my Filipina fiancé living in Hong Kong led me to this video.

Great video. I forgot what great women did for greenock and the port. We started a three day week at Lees Jean's and went onto a sit in. My auntie was shop steward. Thanks for the memories.

Excellent Video - i was born in Greenock in 1940 so remember many of these times and also my Mum & Dads as both were born in Greenock and Port Glasgow Things we took for granted then as didn't know any better Tough times but happy times When i went to India in 1995 to meet my daughter in law who lived in a poor area - my son said "you might get a culture shock Mum " I said "What i grew up in Greenock - i won't get no culture shock" and i didn't Same scenario People were poor but were happy and shared with one another . Now adays the youth have a lot more different and also tough times

I'm one of Cassie Graham's granddaughters (the garrulous lady in the pink cardigan!). It was great to see this again, to hear my granny's voice once more and to see pictures of my dad when he was a boy. Thank you x
