Welcome back! Thought you left YT ap can’t be going days without new videos! Agree on the pricing issue. Sent around 60 cards last month with the good April pricing and hoping they have more in the future. So for now I stock pile the raws I’m finding til then.

My biggest complaints about PSA are they take to process vintage orders, my second is they are brutal grading anything from 80s and 90s and final complaint is I don't feel the modern cards are graded correctly. I remember when you could pick up a PSA 8 card and tell why it got the graded it did. I personally feel like any given PSA 8 or 9 could be resubmited and receive a bump up in the grade as long as it has good centering. Makes you wonder how people are going to view these slabs in 20 years or so.

For horizontal cards, isn’t it more of an inconsistency of the card companies? PSA bases it on having the back of the card vertical, but the front could be facing either way.

PSA is the Altavista of card grading.
Appreciations to you SCV for all of your guidance. Just got my first PSA order in and almost hit a 50% gem rate. All went well with delivery to PO Box and adding value into the cards I did get back, even the 9’s

sadly an issue with almost every grading company they seem to put the card in the wrong slab i have not seen this with Beckett or SCG

You make a good businessman because when you come up with issues you also suggest solutions. The worst business people complain but don’t list out the solutions. I like your idea of breaking up the huge spans of years in one special. The latest is 80’s to modern. I doubt many will send in 80’s or 90’s cards in with their modern submissions. It’s looks like their latest turn around time is about three months. I would like to see that to get better. I see people sending subs off to SGC for some modern stuff they want back right away. I think SGC is around ten days right now. People want their cards back so they can be the first to list a ten on eBay. Thanks for sharing!

How hard is it to grade optic you think I’ve got some sharp centered strouds but faint print lines on back I’m new to industry it seems like there’s lines on everything like this is this standard or will it get hammered by psa

Seriously that video was so string and so accurate and I am sine kind big shot at PSA right now I highly would recommend them watching this video and learn and understand what the customer feels and more importantly deserve with these high prices and can't agree more bro with you on the fact that they are the best and if these changs can be made it would a HUGE boost to everyone ! PSA rakes in millions a month yet they have no real incentives to fix any of these issues because they know they have a stranglehold on the hobby. They could commit heinous acts and their business wouldn’t be impacted. You can put a lot of this blame on the kool-aid drinking customers though.

9:44 Yupp I sent a base origins Bryce young knew it was gonna get a 8 but a Steve smith sr rookie card (looked clean) got a 7 probably just because it’s a “older” card.

So Fanatics screwed all of the collectors again this season - by taking licensed rookie autos off the market - they are the WORST thing to ever happen to cards in past few years. Fanatics has ruined sports cards for collectors. When will the influencers and media hold them accountable?

Not a big fan of PSA but far and away biggest benefit and reason I mostly grade with them is the resale of psa cards blows other companies away

@JP-qx7sv it's always about money. Everyone will complain about companies like Facebook but still use it. Violate your rights and privacy and people didn't care. They need it for their business. Need it for networking. It's hard to compete with that user base at some point and then the company has no incentive to improve their services. Usually companies in those positions just buy anything somewhat threatening like Instagram or SGC. It sucks.
I think the inconsistent slab size issue isn't going to be a problem much more. Based on my last few orders, they have switched 100% to their new slabs for all cards other than the very thick ones. So standard sized prizms, select, donruss, bowman etc... all get the new case which is the one that's really annoying to crack because it just sort of bends and twists. It is way more durable and probably wont get damaged as easily. But it sucks if you need to crack and resubmit. Anyone found any tips on opening these? I've tried the freezer trick which helps a little, but it's still very hard to get the card out safely.
Yeah it’s better now. I don’t crack the new ones though it’s difficult
Nice vid. Few updates. Psa releases new pricing every first of month and current 1980-now cards are $16. Star Wars are $14 so at least they’re doing $14 for something. The big story now is new slabs. I see some on UA-cam that show them and tough to crack and heavier 20%. I assume every decade scales are different even they don’t publish it. Funny to see how some orders every base card gets gem and every auto 9. I really don’t get how their owner said they’re going to 30 days or less for their goals. But then they release 60 day $16 turnaround lol. 😂😂😂

Until there is a threat to PSA real changes will never happen. Most of there problems are like you said just have some care in what you do.

Psa customer service sucks. No answer phone. And no email reply for days.....but no solution at all....

SCV always correct but this time I can second his take on crossovers, a literal scam. When I thought it was legit I sent in a Jordan rookie BGS 7 with subgrades of 9,9,8 and 6.5 for centering up and down was off left and right is good. I tried crossing over with a minimum grade of 7.5. paid $200. What did I get for my $200? My card back in the BGS slab still. So I got nothing for my money besides maybe a grader or two peeked at my card. Scam.
Can't believe they can reject and keep the full fee. it's too dangerous to give them the power to get your $ without any verifiable work. A grader may take 2 seconds but they have to back it up with a grade. They honestly might just take your card out of your package and pop it right into the outgoing one. No way PSA wants the perception that their comp has tougher or similar grading standards. They know smart people are cracking and sending. This is taking advantage of the uninformed.
@@mjh8492 would you really crack your Mj rookie card in a bgs 7 with two 9 subgrades and an 8 and 6.5 and trust PSA TO do whatever they want with it? I guess the question is what would you rather have because I could have set the minimum grade at 7 not 7.5 and then it would seem like PSA just agrees with BGS, but would you rather a Bgs 7 with great subgrades or a PSA 7 and loose the subgrades?

Why are crossovers a scam? I've never done, but PSA shows "Items graded by other companies that you want regraded and into a PSA holder." I was shocked they'd be taking the risk of damaging cards by cracking cases, but isn't that what they're saying they do? It says they regrade and put into a PSA holder. I just don't get what the service is supposed to be if it's not that? I mean, it LITERALLY says it's put into a PSA holder! If you sent a non slabbed card along with a sticker saying SGC 10 I don't get the point of even sending the SGC 10 sticker or why the PSA pricing would be any different than not selecting crossover?
They grade cards through slabs and can’t tell through the case whether it’s a worthy cross or not. Thats my whole point. Has nothing to do with the cracking part
Are you trying to tell me my kid can't be in the school play?! How about PSA dumps qualifiers (oc, mc, mk) and hand out more psa 1s and 2s. Im tired of qualifiers
They don’t bother me much as long as it’s consistent which it isn’t
if you say you can lose money on a PSA 10 because PSA charges you $19, then maybe you shouldn't submit a card that has such low value? I would only submit cards that have a value that is double the submission cost, if it gets a PSA 9, that way you know your order is going to be profitable...I would never submit a card that is only going to be worth $20 in a PSA 10
I auction cards so have no way of knowing what the auction will bring. Losses happen, even you with your method has lost money. All apart of it

Maybe the person who grades the autograph has more than their grade 12. Get real, you haven’t explained why there are so few HENDERSON RC’S graded 10. The whole grading phenomenon is suspect merely because the graders are inexperienced in the hobby and are no more qualified than you or I to judge the quality of a card. We pander to the whim of some mouth-breather just to get an arbitrary 10. This is suspect economics, and a poor business plan. The HOBBY will prevail

If I've won the Powerball when it gets to a billion $, I would buy P. S.A. And just close it down and sell all the equipment and everything inside just to piss everyone off. And then everybody coming to the door I would leave a picture of my butt cheeks spread. Wide open.
