My grandma used to karaoke this song all the time. She used to cry over every movie she watched, and we would laugh at what a big heart she would have. Whenever my grandma sang I Started A Joke, at the time, we kids thought it was something cringe-worthy to laugh about. Now that she's gone, it's like it was her joke on me--this song comes on and I can't help crying. I miss you Grandma.
🖤
In solidarity....
While I was reading your comment about your grandma my heart literally felt pain 💔😢 she was broken beyond repair 💔💔💔 she must of had the most beautiful loving forgiving understanding caring heart in this world may she R.I.P no more pain
I love you guys . The girl singing the background sounds like an angel
I love that Bee Gee songs still have such validity in 2021. The lyrics are a masterpiece.
I love how casual this video is! Just plain talent with no artificial-ness, the way music should be...
I just listened to this song for the sixtieth time. It keeps bringing tears to my eyes.....
If u try to listen with RG u will bring more tears to ur eyes.
She did a great job, however hope you take the time to listen to Robin Gibb sing it❣️ this was one of his own song's he wrote and sang it. He has the voice of an ANGLE❣️❣️
One of the few Bee Gee's songs that I actually like. This was better!
I dont like any Bee Gee's songs but this one is indeed a banger
Dear God ... The beauty of your version of this tune is just too hyperventilatingly overwhelming. I am blown away ....
This performance proves there is beauty in everything.
What the heck is that supposed to me?
I can't get enough of this.
Super well done, ladies! I especially love the use of the non-Hammond organ. One like my grandad had, and several other adults in my young days.
No you guys didn't started a joke, you started something so unique and amazing! I am sure the Bee Gees would give you the thumbs up and Robin would be smiling somewhere up there in heaven.
Thank's for the music!
Beautiful comment. Can't help but agree!!
Heaven is a fairytale
@@lucienskye5274 Okay Big Brain Atheist Time xDDDDDDD
amen to that!
I agree
Oh, full of emotions. . .
WAY cool!! Very Mazzy Star-ish & unique. I saw the Bee Gees do this live in 1979 (Providence) and this was almost as magical....
I was there! Drove down from NH with my high school girlfriend. It was truly magical. I think about it often when I hear some of their classics on the radio. One of the best concerts I've ever seen (and I saw Elton John 4x, Prince, U2, AC/DC, Queen, Paul McCartney, Ringo, Bowie, etc.). I remember them appearing at the top of that huge staircase, then coming down and almost OVERPOWERING their big band with their voices......:)
My Father...
He often sang this song when we go to the bar...
i always with him after my Mom passes away....
he always came when im working as a singer in the bar....
Now im listening this song bymyself... Mom & Dad in Heaven.... wait for me... someday we will be together... :')
WOW THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL EXCELLENT COVER🎯🤗👊👊😉
I watched a special on PBS the other day and realized I was still grieving the death of Karen Carpenter after all these years. The knee jerk reaction was that there are no voices like Karen's in today's world. Then I thought about Nataly and looked up some of her videos including this one. So, I get to hear Lauren. There is still talent and forever fresh voices on this side of the veil.
I feel reborn after hearing your music. love it.. Thanks.
Thanks girls. I don't listen to music much since my radio career ended, but Nataly always touches my heart.
My mom loves this song, she'd cry listening to this. Beautiful! :)
I first heard this when I was in England, 1968. It was beautiful then and you have made it beautiful today. I miss my friends from that time. This surely reminds me of them. Thx Nataly and Lauren.
All of a sudden I can hear angels sing!
It's sunshine for our hearts in those grey days in Berlin! Thanx, BEATKIDS, Berlin, Germany
Your voices are so different and yet work so well together and compliment each others. Both of you have beautiful voices!
you made me cry so much cause you are all so beautiful. I love this song so much, it means alot to me, and when somebody as good as you sings it...well that made my heart pitter patter. If only I could find a drummer like yours....le sigh, or girrrrls as cool as you all are.
One of my favorite BEE GEE's songs and performed SO well. KUDOS...
Simply beautiful ❤️
Its nice to see that us younger people know that The Bee Gees weren't ALWAYS silly disco.
Truly a bittersweet cover. I love it.
So Delightful to experience this piece. Just luscious. A great great Bee Gees Song Captured and flown high
I absolutely love Lauren's voice. It's gorgeous!
Beautiful voices. I heard this song before but I've never listened to it. Beautiful and Sad at the same time.
I love that organ's mood.
Great song selection for your voice! I’m always amazed (i.e. as one who doesn’t sing) how rarely singers discover what songs sound great coming out of them. This is a great pick!
BEAUTIFUL IN EVERY WAY ! I LOVE THE THE " OLD RADIO " ORGAN ,EVERYTHING IS PERFECT !!!
you gave this song kind of a reverence.. it deserves. Robin would be proud
Nataly Dawn and Lauren O'Connell are so very cool and so funny. They have such great comic timing and the music is beautiful. Good luck you lovely artists!
One of the best renditions I heard! Good job girls!! Thanks!
THIS IS MUSIC!
Why we can't have more of this instead of all that crap that plays on the radio, damn it!
Well, for one thing, this is a cover version of the Bee Gee's song from 1968!
Albert Giesbrecht
There's been many cover versions of songs over the years that have become hits. Not that this
version would be a hit.Just a though.......
there''s more than one radio station.
same. why do they play the same garbage song 15 times a day and not classic hit that we grew up to.
also am i the only one who hears uptown funk everywhere i go or am i that schizophrenic
You, girls, sing beautifully... congrats.
Songs like these are the reason that I mostly listen to the Pomplamoose station on Pandora. This is beautiful.

Hi girls I thought I clicked on a reaction but what a beautiful suprise you were !
I wish you every success I think your obvious talent will ensure it. Thank goodness artists like you will keep songs like this alive.
From Mark in Australia
This is beyond stunning. I love the way music is performed in vintage style. So glad I accidently came across your channel.
"Robin's song". I think it was written by Barry Gibb with lyrics by Maurice Gibb. First written in 1968.
This Nataly Dawn and Lauren O'Connell rendition is beautiful. I think all of the Bee Gees would love it.
One of my favorite songs of all time from Robin Gibb but you two ladies give it something else so good.

The most interesting is how the same music can have many interesting angles. Amazing version!
I have been a musician longer than you have been on earth, and I have to say that you are fabulous and the BeeGees would be very very proud of the way you do this song.
Absolutely beautiful.
It's still awesome that so many people synced the audio from the link just to enjoy the video. Shows the kind of support you have out here Nataly. Wonderful rendition, again!

I love the music you each make, and Nataly introduced me to Lauren's music, and I love everything Nataly puts out and support you financially when ever I can, but Lauren you are constantly playing in my home right now and I have even done a couple of marathon repeats of O Death and The One I Love Is Gone. Gifted and unique voices for sure
Awesome. Totally melting here in your voices.
Very well done and very well mixed, and a song from my era! Very Groovy! Farout! Pretty Keen if you ask me!
Now my second favorite version. Very well done ladies.
SO so good!!
Stunning. I just listened to five versions of this including the Bee Gees and this was in every way the best.
How can anything beat the original
this one is like dead people singing it lacks emotion big time
I still like the original better. But its a better cover than any cover ive ever heard from the big record companies
