I don’t know how recently you suffered your loss and I know it doesn’t get any easier but you do start to learn to deal with the pain. I think you somehow lose your future when you lose your child or at least that is how I felt and maybe it’s why I too like to watch young fella’s on the net striving to get ahead and improve their lot because I don’t have that anymore. It’s a hard road to travel and it’s no consolation to know that you are not alone but we unfortunately aren’t.
I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my daughter last May and still can’t deal with the pain. Through the grace of God, I get through each day.

@@TomPembertonFarmLife its the truth we've been doing a fodder system thats never been attempted before. long and short the wheels nearly fell off everything last winter. all subsystems that were supposed to help us weren't in place my boy who was 12 and my daughter (14) helped 3 or so hours everyday, helping there dads move 1200 pounds of soaked barley seed into the growing trays. Never moaned about it kept their chins up and just worked like busy beavers. We are getting ready to turn it on this winter and the dream is on the verge of being realized. Like your father is realizing at this moment. it simply wouldn't be possible without your family contributing in ways that simply boggle the mind. And one day it'll be you smiling at Harvey. happy new years! you deserve the best in 24!

My dad got such enjoyment watching the cattle going into the fields. He is in his 80's and I grew up on the farm he and my mom worked on. He loved his milking cows and they always came up to the barn when he called them. So thank you for bringing enjoyment to my father.

I think the very best thing that Tom and the other pioneers of this kind of social media have done: is involve the rest of the world with the most important human industry there is. Farming. The lonely feeling life and battles they face, are no longer an isolated struggle. We used to all have farming members of our families, just a few generations ago. Congrats on making it through such a challenging year. The main thing is you made it thru 'with love and grace' given and received. Your enthusiasm and dedication prove to others that they too can make it by planning, setting goals, and giving their best and worst days by taking on the challenges with that 'can do' attitude. The TB was made easier by your willingness to face it head-on. I know it was probably the deer that were the carriers but I would like to see a follow-up of working with the wildlife around farms. We must recognize they are creatures worthy of existence and how human beings share the land with these creatures is necessary for a balanced ecology. By the way, thank you for showing us what is happening in Canada's larger dairy industry. Happy New Year to you and yours along with the many helping hands along the way. Keep on going on UA-cam.

As a farmers granddaughter and my aunty had a milk farm (small but still...) it is so nice to be back "home" now and then and see familiar sights and hear familiar sounds. Your videos of 2023 has been educational and inviting us all to come along on the trip. I am looking forward to seeing what the calf babbies will get as their best possible start always at my heart. Good room for babbies, good cattle for the future! Moo on ya all and onwards into the haybales!
