Tom, that´s exactly why we all follow you. you are a kind man, caring for the animals living on your farm. you gave Dave a chance to carry on even if he is a little bull. Industrial farming would not have bothered. Thanks for showing everybody that farming is about the life on the farm.
My grandson Tom is obsessed with you your work and especially the bulls. Tom is 3 and never misses a post which we watch together. You are setting a great example to our little farmer ❤
It’s so great that that baby calf that baby bowl calf got his leg casted and it healed he it looks like you guys did a great job with him. He’s absolutely gorgeous.❤
I remember the other calf that broke his leg and you chose to cast the leg with great results. Your vets and staff do such excellent work. Yes, costs have to be taken into consideration, but obviously, this does work and is so uplifting for everyone involved. Prayers for Jo’s return to great health. 🙏❤
Hope Jo and the little one r ok. Nice to see Dave getting on well, it’s not about money, it’s life, a big shout out to the vets who saved him👍👏👏greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
Best wishes to Jo for a full and speedy recovery. Good luck to Dave, too! He seems to be a feisty little guy. Great work by you, your staff, and the vets! 👍
Awww Bless Dave, I absolutely adorable your encouragement as you're chatting to him. He may not understand english, but i bet he understands the energy! I'm so glad you chose to help him. Especially you can see him not struggling when the cast is coming off- he knows! All the calves are so cute, i don't know how you don't spend all day in the shed watching them run around cutely. I hope Jo is OK and back home soon ! What a stressful time for you
I enjoy all your videos Tom, the fact you can see how much you love your job, how careing you are towards your animals in your care, it clear that you and your entire farm workers and family always put the animals welfare first, which is how it should be. thank you for againt sharing with us.
Glad to see tom! Ive had recent casting success with as well a rear leg on red Holstein heifer calf. I never considered casting till i watched your last casting video few years ago. I was devastated when i discovered the break but now shes thriving and you’d never know she broke it!
You had a c-section on the farm last year too where you showed the process. I've been watching you for about 4 years now and those are the only c-sections I've seen, which I think is a testament to the care you and the whole Pemberton's team take and put into raising your cattle. How long do you need to discard mum's milk for after something like this Tom?
Great video Tom. Yes, what a beginning to life. Dave showed that he was so worth the effort put into him. So glad Dave responded so well and now he’s standing on his own without a cast. What a great team he had helping him. He may miss all the company’s had, he’s sure a calm patient boy. ❤❤
How wonderful, that you gave lil Dave a chance and he is doing so well...🥰Many others wouldnt have bothered...🙁, so thank you, Tom 👍🏻💯 Best wishes to Jo, hope she recovers quickly and can come back home 🙏🏻💫🌈🏡🙋🏻♀️
The difference between knowledge (a la 2024 vets) and lack of knowledge (a la 1904 vets -- guessing the yr!) is also a big factor. When my Grandpa was a boy on a farm, most likely they'd have lost one or both lives OR if both lives were initially saved, the calf having a broken leg would have been clubbed or shot to death (sorry for graphic description!). How far we've come with understanding of health and value of farm animals. Then you need farmers like Tom who says "we like to give 'em a chance!" Well done! All the best to Jo!
The vet and her assistant did a great job on taking care of the baby calf and you also do a great job with all the animals and the people that works with you thank them for all of us fans
I know you have had a few lows between the farm and home tecently, but remember, how do you know you are having a high if you do not experience any lows. Chin up, it is only temporary and it will pass soon, have faith.Sending lots of love and get well soon vibes from my family to yours ❤
Oh poor little boy. You do so much to take care of your animals and it is so sad to see something bad happen. I know you and your vets will do all that you can for the wee one.
Always enjoy your videos. You and your workforce do a fantastic job on the farm. It’s great to see. Hope Jo will be recovered soon enough to home once and for all.
Great video as always. You have a brilliant team of vets and your care for your livestock is excellent. Hope Jo is on the mend, family always comes first, don't wear yourself out.
Prayers always for JoAnna. It’s tough on a woman’s body to go through pregnancy then to heal from giving birth. Then sleep for all. I was sleep deprived till they got married…Harvey’s a good looking lad. Hugs to you all.
I keep checking insta for updates on Jo. Sending her and Harvey lots of love. Get well soon Jo. And little Dave is gorgeous, he may have to be another keeper 😊
It is very evident that you really care about your animals and you care *for them. Hard to think that blue blanket was so big on Dave just 5 weeks earlier, lol. I have always wondered how a C-section is done on large animals. I know the incision is done on the side, but I still wonder how the guts don't fall out. Hope Joe is doing better❤and is home soon 🤗Hugs to You All
My anxiety diminished the minute she said 'metacam'. I never realised (after watching a year of YT farming) that my mind thinks: calpol=children, metacam=animals. ❤ (And the drugs I had post cesaerian weren't bad either) Best wishes to Jo, I'm right with her ❤💐
This is why I love watching your videos! You and your team care so much about your animals! Just wanted to ask how are y’all doing with a newborn in the house? Hope everything is going well. ❤
Yay Dave! Tom I think you have another favourite to add to your collection. It will be fun to keep track of Dave's adventures. Maybe Dave and Harvey will be pals.
Keep seeing on TikTok I think, don’t think I’ve seen any on here, but it’s ads for some animal rights group using celebrities to criticise the dairy industry saying it’s cruel etc, babies taken from their mothers etc. Miriam Margoyles has done one of those videos, can’t mind who else but you Tom are a testament to the vast majority of great dairy farmers who put animal welfare before profit! Another great video showing the truth in farming!
So good to see dave be given a chance. Fingers crosseed for him that Hertford looks lush. Sending our love to Jo keep up the great work team Pemberton 👏
testament to how far we've come when we see husbandry like this though, simply giving best care we can and letting them be is often enough. animals are resilient - they dont know how to be anything else. A little love and a little faith go a long way.
Congratulations on the new calves that was born .Thank God what a blessing. I admire all you do as a farmer. All things turn around for good. The casting on little Dave was successful. That's awesome. Take care of yourself and family. May God bless you with health and happiness.
Good morning, Tom, what a good video, you are a wonderful farmer. You gave the little calf his chance in life. I am an animal lover, like you take care of your animals and they will take care of you.
Sorry to hear Jo is still not too great, our prayers are with her and hope she gets well soon . You did and the vets done an amazing job with Dave even the name seems to be right for him. Great video as always ...Take care and stay safe.
Tom we have had a few calves with broken plastered the leg and they have being fine look these things happen your doing a great job hope Jo and Harvey doing good
OMGosh!! The baby cows!! Neat to see how Dave got better so soon. Hope Jo is doing well, and coming home soon. How are you holding on Tom? TakeCare, BeWell, and StaySafe ✌️💚🖖
Tom been watching you for a while I'd love to see that little calf grazing out in the field in spring time amazing transformation at the end of video👍👍
👍👍 Maybe some have said this already and I don't want to be a know it all, and I didn't catch you saying how you attach the puller on the calf, but, ise chains instead of ropes. They won't get tighter when you pull so no cutting off any blood streams. And put them in between the hooves and the little claws. ( don't know the exact English word for them😅). So on the ankle joint. That way you will not break any legs Again, don't pretend to know better, just shearing some of my legendary wisdom 🤪
Honestly Tom, I don’t even need to read the titles, it’s a channel I enjoy and I just click straight away and hit the like button before you even start talking 😂
I love that you have continued to show great animal husbandry! The explanation as to why you chose to not own a mechanical calf puller was interesting. Then explaining why you chose to call the vet, separating the calf while deciding to cast the leg and milking mom out and tubing the baby with the colostrum as a standard were all interesting! Thanks for the lessons learned. God bless and may the health of your family begin to make great strides.
Katie stroking the Calf to soothe it was lovely to see. A compassionate young lady bless her. ❤🤜🤛

It’s so great that that baby calf that baby bowl calf got his leg casted and it healed he it looks like you guys did a great job with him. He’s absolutely gorgeous.❤
Katie’s was so natural with how she held that calf. Go girl!
I remember the other calf that broke his leg and you chose to cast the leg with great results. Your vets and staff do such excellent work. Yes, costs have to be taken into consideration, but obviously, this does work and is so uplifting for everyone involved. Prayers for Jo’s return to great health. 🙏❤
It’s 2 out of 2 for Oakhill vets. They are class ☺️

What a nice ending to that calf's story. Sorry to hear about Joe, hope she gets better and hope you and your little human are doing good too ❤❤❤

We had one calf ( 6 months old) once she needed 3 new caskets because they broke it every time but she is fine now about to calf in 2 months
Nice to see you actually look after your animals instead of insta putting them down, refreshing man!
It is very evident that you really care about your animals and you care *for them. Hard to think that blue blanket was so big on Dave just 5 weeks earlier, lol.

Just like marriage vows, in sickness and health, you do whatever it takes to keep your cows and calves healthy and happy. Thanks for the video.
Brilliant result Tom, shows what excellent husbandry can achieve. Your Vets and your farm hands certainly know thier business. 👍

Great to see Dave doing alright. Sending virtual hugs to Jo.
A great video Tom, and it just goes to show how much care us farmers give to animals.
Hope Jo is mending well, and back on her feet soon. Nothing worse than being a new mum and feeling awful.
Great to see you smiling and enjoying life
15:39 great content again and nice to give the calve a chance to live its life
All medical professionals are worth their weight in gold and more. ❤❤❤
Sending love to you and jo and calf has best people and cows around looking after her
