Thank you for keeping the integrity of the original build intact...I just hate to see people "open up" beautiful old homes like this and absolutely destroy the whole vintage charm and elegance...
Me, too. I hate seeing before and after pictures and seeing that someone took the soul right out of a house and made it cold and sterile and cookie cutter. Always breaks my heart.
I would move into this house right away :) I love your taste. By the way, you can change the opening of the refrigerator door. Every refrigerator has this capability. Then it will be much more convenient for you to use it.
It looks LOVELY! And, THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU, for not ripping out everything original, and turning it into 'Light, Bright, Modern 21st Century'. I know people can do what they want with their houses, but honestly it makes my skin crawl, when all original character is ripped out.
My fiancé and I are considering a 1928 bungalow with a front exterior virtually identical to yours; we absolutely loved what you did to the exterior-the color scheme, the added decorative railing. The one we are considering has screened in the front. That would go and we would take notes from your restoration. Beautiful! ❤
Wow! I just bought a 1920 Craftsman home that is VERY similar to this that oddly enough, didn't have the front porch rail like yours did originally! I'd be interested to learn what did you use for that front porch rail? Did you find reclaimed front porch rail or did you simply build it yourself from new lumber? Thanks in advance!
Your house is the closest floor plan to mine. I have searched for years looking for something similar. I haven’t a bathroom as large as yours. My house didn’t have an original indoor bath when it was built. I wish you had an interior floor plan sketch. Love everything you are doing. ❤️

I have a 1920 Craftsman home that is VERY similar and has no front porch rail just like this did in the beginning! I'd be VERY interested to learn what did you use to build that front porch rail? Did you find reclaimed porch rail or just simply build your own from new? Thanks!
I love everything you did with this house! I have a love hate relationship with my 1932 Beach Bungalow. There are always things to do but I need to know what steps I need to take to insulate it. The previous owners redid the upstairs and it's comfortable but downstairs is freezing in the winter and almost unbearable in the summers. I have plaster walls. Any advice?
Beautiful… I’m purchasing an old Victorian home, having hard time deciding if I should have the outside painted or side the home , I want to keep the Victorian look but also wonder how long exterior paint lasts … any advice ?? Thanks 🙏
We've just bought an Amazing 4bd/2ba 1929 Craftsman in great shape, but all the walls are gray and all the beautiful wood trim is under many coats of white paint; we shall be stripping/refinishing the wood trim for years. Someone also whitewashed over the brick fireplace, UGH. How do you undo THAT?!! OH, and did you know that there is only ONE company is all of the U.S.A. that RE-Porcelainizes Cast Iron Tubs?!! They have a YEARS LONG WAITING LIST, are over 1100 miles away from me, and cost more than a couple thousand dollars. 😭😭😭
Finally.... a house restoration and not a horrifying "update", "renovation" or (shudder) "transformation!". And believe me, every one of those renovation "designers" was as obnoxious and pretentious as their end product.
The door doesn't hit it even when all the way open. I made sure before I put it up. Plus, sconces on either side of a mirror are a much better placement than above. The lighting is far superior that way.
Holy crap....I just found your channel because I am getting to do my 2nd old house reno. I saw a political sign in one of the pictures, and I know where you are! I'm 15 minutes away. We need to be friends!

@mythra7174 my sentiment too...they ruin the vintage feel, and the integrity of the original home..

We are at the point where being told your design choices are outdated is a compliment!
@sixty-six2991 true...not all of us like "open concept"...I like rooms - with doors!
I would move into this house right away :) I love your taste.
By the way, you can change the opening of the refrigerator door. Every refrigerator has this capability.
Then it will be much more convenient for you to use it.
Sadly, this retro model fridge cannot change the door swing. The lever latch only works one way.
@@AdrienneLovesOldHouses Yeah, you right. This refrigerator does not change the position of the door. I said it wrong.)
I LOVE your kitchen sink! The entire house is stunning. Great job!
Thank you!!!
The flooring in the kitchen, though, and I LOVE that you saved the old sink. Ditto the bathroom. 💝💝💝💝💝💝
It looks LOVELY!

I was afraid to look. Im so glad i did! Best restoration I've seenvin years!
I absolutely LOVE the black brick
Such a loving respectful restoration.
Great music for this review! Full of hammering, a bit of wrenching. Energy! 💖💕🇨🇦
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 absolutely magnificient just what a restoration of a craftsman should be ❤️❤️❤️🙋🏼♀️
I’m in love! Each time I watch it I love it more. The dishwasher idea was literally the coolest idea in Reno history! Lol it’s amazing
Omg thank you!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Adrienne! This is beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing. You did an amazing job!
I'm glad to see you kept the kitchen sink, and the bathroom sink and tub. I have them in my house, but I had to source mine from wreckers' yards.
I was waiting on the retro stove. Bah. Thank you for not butchering this house it looks amazing.
So glad you kept the sink
Nicely done, I'm doing a similar home and am trying to stay "period correct" looking - sometimes that's a challenge! Thank you for sharing.
There's always a period reproduction warehouse somewhere...😉

The exterior paint colors are fantastic.
Thanks 😊
Amazing Restore!
Standing ovation. I was getting ready to be disappointed and disgusted at another bungalow white out.

Adorable. Love it.
Pretty house. Must be Rocky Mount / Nashville / Spring Hope? I recognized the Sheriff sign haha...
Thanks for posting. Great job on this place. Was this restoration done for more than $100,000 or less than $100,000 ?
I love the color outside the house! What is the name?
Exterior colors are amazing!!! What were the colors you used?

It's all in your prep work. Don't scrimp on the prep, and don't buy cheap paint.
@@AdrienneLovesOldHouses thanks !!
Is this on fairmount ave across from benito's? I think I've visited here before in the early 90's
Love the tub, don’t love that music.
Did you have to remove the lath and plaster in the bathroom where you wanted to put tile? I so, why?
Thank you so much
When repainting the outside did you need to sand the original down or just quick scrape and paint over?
Please paint the front stairs 😊

Girl, if I win the lottery I’ll have to fly you over to fix my house. Please 😂
North Carolina?
Sconce mounted on door casing in the bath? An accident waiting. Put it up over the mirror or leave it off.

Very impressive. Not sure about the front steps.
Lol yeah, haven't gotten to those yet!
