@TabiEats. That was probably the best Honolulu video I've ever seen. Your descriptions and experiences were very authentic and even your safety messages were appropriate. Thank you for going to Grace's Inn as that's one of my favorite chicken katsu places.
Such nostalgia! Tbh, I was crying tears of happiness (and a little longing) because of all the memories this video evoked. Satoshi really tickled me because he knew the names of so many tropical plants (I was a horticulturist at the Smithsonian when I was young), but then again he's the nature boy.🌺👍 And, Shinichi's love for and knowledge of Honolulu made everything that much more beautiful. Plus, vegetarian or no, I need a char siu manapua!🤣 And a bathtub full of malasadas.😋
Nice that you take time to sit and just enjoy. Not enough people do that on vacation. Like that you go to your family's local food store. I can see me doing that going back to places I lived. Hello from sunny Corvallis Oregon, US.
Hi Guys! Great video. Nostalgic and a great reminder of what is in my back yard. I need to take time to enjoy the island I live in. I worked in Downtown for a season and loved going around Chinatown. I've forgotten how wonderful it is. Mahalo for showing me what i've been missing,.
Mahalo, thank you for sharing this wonderful video with us! I was born and raised in Honolulu. I could see so many places that I would visit in your video. So nostalgic ❤
The best tonkatsu I’ve ever had (IMO even better than Maisen!) is in Honolulu. While we wait for our table, we go down the street to get malasadas from Leonard’s, because the meal should be deep fried from start to finish 😂
I love this! I’ve only been to Hawaii and Honolulu once but fell in love with it; my wife has been a few times and is always talking about it. Your first few recommendations are the same as mine but the others I have saved them on my Google maps for the next visit!
You are right about sitting and doing nothing as a top 10. We will have to go to your favorite spot at the Ala Moana Mall and stop at Surfers Bakery for the coconut ube smoothie. That’s the best combo 🥥🌺🍍
Grace's! Still there? It's been decades, but they were a staple. Was it a Don Quijote when you were growing up? I'm a bit older, and it was Holiday Mart back in the day. They had great manapua, pork hash, etc. U Choice on the corner is still a good option.
FYi- Yellow Hibiscus Is the State Flower if Hawaii . Magic Island is a manmade island and constructed with the help a decendent of the "Tsujunkyo Bridge" in Kumamoto, Japan. A blessed gift in Japanese - Hawaii history and immigration to Hawaii 👍🤜🤛🤔
I'm pretty much addicted to ice coffee ._. I love to sit and read whenever im away (or not away) but more so outside when im away, and it's just not that easy. I also love to explore coffee shops and such.
It'd be awesome to see a video recommending Japanese food/restaurants and maybe places on Oahu - donki, byodo-in, mitsuwa market, etc.! I feel like it would appeal to those who can't go to Japan but might be able to go to (or are already on) Oahu!!
I have been watching your vlogs for a long time now. I live in Honolulu and I used to go to Fusiions when I was younger and I also live in the neighborhood you used to live in. I find it so entertaining to watch my neighborhood in your show! I especially like your last video of the vegan peace cafe because I’ve been vegan 🌱 for six yrs now. You are both great! I want to go Japan one day
Great video ...love seeing you guys in Hawaii...do you not stay with family??? but in a hotel? In the largest shopping center unless you were there early morning..where are all the people...??? Seriously where are all the people...unless you were there very early in the morning...
🌋🌊Mahalo nui kama'aina..Hey bradda thanks for sharing and showing Home.. I'm from the north shore down by kahuku and laie.. I've been away from home for like awhile bradda.. But, thanks for sharing and showing Home 🏠 Bradda 🤙🏖️🏝️🌺🌊🌅🏖️
I know lots of locals and native Hawaiians do NOT want any more tourists here and I want to respect that. And at the same time, I miss this island so much 😢
I love Hawaii and have been to the area that you guys are but my only complaint is that Wakiki is too tourist centered, I was disappointed that there were not many actual"Hawaiians" making it difficult to experience true Hawaiian culture. Maybe my next trip will be to the Big Island, Hawaii is beautiful, but like the Hawaiians say, please come and visit and then go home and I understand why they say that

Can you suggest some nice hotels around that area? Thanks!
Love your ring. Are you guys secretly married now?
People forget to just sit, don't they? 'This bench is always open', what a lovely sentiment.
Beautiful statement and so very true. Just being still. ❤

We enjoy a nightly visit after sunset watching to the Honolulu Cookie Company and a walk through the lobby of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel! 🌴

Thank you for sharing some of your personal favs with us. The sunset was the perfect conclusion to this video and made me smile.🥰

I missed the shopping and I missed Hawaii!
I agree, Shinichi. Lawrence would love all those shops.🛍😂
Hawaii is so beautiful. Maybe someday I'll get to go.🌺😊

Back in the 80s, there was a Japanese department store in Honolulu that I loved. I think it was called
Shiroki Ya. Do you remember it?
SALT at Kaka'ako is also a great little spot! I loved seeing my neighborhood and where I often eat lunch downtown! 🤗Welcome back! 🌺🤙🏽
Clicked on the video about five seconds before the notification came through!
Hope you enjoyed it!
remember Irifune, they're at Milliani St. downtown still going. I'll look into that Airalo!
I enjoyed meeting you guys near donki. It’s nice to hear you like when people say hi cause I wasn’t sure if I should.
Thanks for saying hi!!!
Love Waikiki and Oahu

Never been to Hawaii so, all I could think about while you both walked around was Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth 😂

If you need any other ideas check out Golden Pork Tonkotsu Ramen Bar!
Great suggestion!
So much nostalgia. 😄 We always talked about retirement in Hawaii but I don't think it's affordable anymore.
Everywhere is expensive. The nicer the city, the more expensive it is. Singapore is so expensive. Seoul, South Korea is very clean, but expensive.
You guys should come to Canada eh.!!
And I am so excited to have japanese mochi no my birthday this coming Monday and I will have a birthday party
I recognise a lot of these places due to Like a Dragon
Hello to camera man Mike! Glad you enjoyed your Hawaii trip.
And good music in the background
Beautiful landscape: that’s ME!!!!!!
Thanks to you I'm now craving some crispy fried chicken 😂
It’s been a long time😭 is there a ‘LV’ store there?! It’s ‘wine red ‘

We have been fortunate enough to have been in Waikiki twice. I loved it so much I cried when we left. We’re from Canada. 🥰
I hope you get to visit again!
Guessing ya'll were lucky to miss the power outage in Chinatown 🫤 Hmm, and now I'm hungry and also miss Don Quijote 😮 🙂
