Planning on a visit to Madeira either late this year or early next year but, it looks like a paradise on earth to me. I hope to be able to meet the two of you when I do get over there and just love your presentations. Planning to rent an Airbnb for at least one month...maybe more! Stay Classy!

Thanks for the video. Minho is amazing, but u missed Ponte da Barca, Ponte de Lima the oldest village of Portugal, plus Sistelo. Neither did u visit Montalegre, the most typical village of Portugal. That's it, U must return! 😘🙏❤️🇵🇹
Viana do Castelo é das mais vibrantes cidades de Portugal, especialmente aquando das festas da Senhora da Agonia, em que a cidade fica toda engalanada para receber a senhora, com as mulheres vestidas com os trajes típicos do Minho, carregadas de artefactos de ouro.
O santuário é algo de maravilhoso, e a fachada da Matriz e o interior da igreja da Misericórdia cheio de ouro e azulejos azuis são imperdíveis. A visitar o museu do traje minhoto.
E bem vindos de volta e lots of vinho verde :-)

Sim, the Portuguese did fish off the coast of Newfoundland… the coast does go very north and they do see icebergs off the coast… some of Newfoundland is where it is referred to as the North Atlantic!
Viana do Castelo is beautiful… I’ve seen photos (posted by a woman in one of the Portuguese FB groups I’m in) … so can’t thank you enough for the video! It looks really lovely!

I’m also not very religious, but I love visiting churches and cathedrals, bc of the aesthetics, arquitectura, etc and I love stained glass and tile work. Fantastic drone shots, great video as usual.

Now that's a Stay classy vlog like I remember when you were on mainland. I really liked it. Thank you for bringing back good memories. And what a gorgeous villa! I have visited all regions of Portugal and I must admit that I have a soft spot for Northern Portugal. Food is amazing and people are so friendly.
The best Bola de Berlin is in Manuel Natário', but his brother (Zé Natário) also owns a patisserie, so people get confused and go to the wrong place. The Bola de Berlim that you tried is good but the one from "Manuel Natário" is the best.

Vendors walk the beaches selling them all the time. Especially at Carcavelas Beach west of Lisbon

Hi - so excited to see you back and your great videos, beautiful cinematography, history lessons and restaurants. I was trying to see if there are any Covid restrictions (curfews, closings, etc) But it looks like business as usual. Yay, as we are trying to go in October from the US. We had to cancel our trip last year but have been dying to cross the pond. Any insight on the Covid situation would be so greatly appreciated. Happy to have you back!!!
Thanks, Helen! In terms of covid we try focus on everything that is not related to that! It depresses us too much and there are many other sources much better. Try the IATA website. They have current entry rules for every country in the world.

Going to Viana do Castelo during the celebrations of Nossa Senhora da Agonia is fantastic. So lively and enjoyable with lovely fireworks displays along the river. Well with Covid restrictions I am sure the celebrations are not going ahead this year.

Yeah, we could've filmed more of the inside, but it wasn't really that overwhelming. It was more the exterior that was super impressive!
It’s so funny 😊, I’m from Berlin, and we call the “Berliner” …”Pfannkuchen” ( pancake) lol 😂, just to confuse everyone.
And Pancakes 🥞 we call “ Eierkuchen” ( egg cake) and traditionally the Pfannkuchen ( Berliner/Donut) has jam inside, not any custard or other fancy stuff. We eat Pfannkuchen at midnight on New Years Eve. You have to order so much in advance for New Years, as the bakeries are craaaazyyyy busy making them nonstop. I have very fond childhood memories of picking up our box of Pfannkuchen, staring at them all day long in anticipation for the clock to chime midnight 🕛 🥂 🍾 🎉 🥳 blowing paper snakes around the kitchen and lighting sparklers 🧨 until we all could finaaaaallyyyyy bite into this delicious 😋 treat. 💖

You went to the wrong Natário! The real one is Manuel Natário which is in the same avenue. Unfortunately, you didn’t try the best bola de Berlim.
Literally everyone on IG told us Ze Natario! We didn't get a single suggestion of Manuel Natario.
@@joenandamalie Zé Natário is more touristic than Manuel, maybe that’s why everyone recommended Zé Natário but the real and the traditional is Manuel. And the bola de Berlim is very different between them. Next time, give a try to Manuel! I'm from Braga and I purposely go to Viana do Castelo to eat Manuel's Bola de Berlim 😄

You should went to Viana do Castelo in the Msot Big Festival (Romaria) in Portugal - Senhora d'Agonia. It happens in August usualy around 17-20 in that month. But I'm glad you make a video from my hometown!!
I don't think any of these festivals are happening due to you know.

Only "fools" pay 1.609€/L for diesel. There are lots of places that sell it for 1.50€, 1.45€ or even less if you go to Intermarché (and I'm talking about additivated diesel, not the plain one).
