Insomniac here with it being 3:15 am. Just turned 60yrs old and always wanted a Corvette. I thought I would outgrow the love I have and be looking at a nice Camry at this point. Well, I'm not and still want to be behind the wheel of something that would get a chuckle and a woohoo out of me. So, I'm going for it and that's that. Having said that, I'd like to write that you seem like a super nice guy and I'm glad you're in a car you love. I hope you have your grandchildren in that Vette and stay happy and healthy along the way. Peace from Philadelphia.
Love that you daily drive this beauty. I absolutely have to own a supersonic blue Z06 or ZR1 at some point in my life, by far my favorite Corvette color of all time. My C5Z gets the job done but this is the goal, such a great car man
I have a 2007 Z06 I have been daily commuting for the last seven years and love it. I changed jobs a little more than four years into that commute, but the first part of it was about 25 miles one way. Judging it as a regular car, it does just great. All the creature comforts work as they should and the dual mode exhaust makes it easy to make phone calls while driving along. That earlier commute for me had a good amount of freeway and long dark empty back roads where I could leave the car in fifth gear cruising about 60 to 70 mph. When doing that I was actually averaging 20 miles per gallon believe it or not. My current commute is only about 8 miles long and does not have as much freeway as the previous one did. My average now is about 16 miles a gallon. The car does great. I take it to Costco, as I mentioned daily commute rain or shine, I’ve done road trips with it where it’s fantastic, and then I of course do Canyon carving as well as track days and it is all the car I need. I personally am nuts about keeping it clean and often blow peoples minds and how nice the car is and it has more than 110,000 miles on it now . I highly suggest getting one and driving the wheels off of it. Seems to work for me :)
Great video bud! Fellow 2012 SSB owner here, the number one comment I get from strangers is always how awesome the color is. I’m the second owner and been loving every second of it. I’ll never let it go, keep up the vids 🇺🇸!
Appreciate this video. Have a fbody Camaro that runs with cars like yours, and I still drive it daily. I may do a video myself. Appreciate the video and words.
I drive my C6 3 times a week & I have 3 cars, every 3mths I get my Vette checked just cause to stay on top of things, if anyone thinking about getting a C6 first thing to do is get the harmonic balancer checked, then get your shifter checked cause it will get stuck in park, mine got stuck in drive lol, only applies to automatic C6 Vettes, & lastly change your big 3 on your C6.
any corvette. people wanna race you. i have a HCI C5Z and all the hellcats and mustangs want the sauce. none of the WRXs and EVOs want the sauce anymore tho.
I commend you for daily driving your C6Z you're a man after my own heart. I had a C5 that I daily drove to 70k mi then got my C6Z and daily drove it to 15k and then got a second car... I'm mostly commenting because I got a huge kick out you explaining what it's like to daily drive a C6Z and we can barely hear you over that 427 LOL ps the valve drop story stems from 1600 heads that were farmed out in 2006, normal hard spirited driving on every other C6 ZO6 have regularly gone100-150 K on stock heads but of course it's hard to find them with stock heads now because the speed shops have made so much money "fixing" them LOL I drive the hell out of mine and it's going on 18 years with stock heads
I had to daily drive my HCI C6 Z06 last week since my daily was down and it’s not really practical. It’s good when there’s no traffic and I can get on it on the highway, but it sucks in traffic, especially when it’s over 90 degrees. I can’t have the AC on during stop & go traffic or it’ll overheat lol. Very fun car and I appreciate it more when I don’t drive it every day. The other thing is making sure I have a battery tender hooked on it since these Corvettes drain batteries.
Whenever I see a C6 Z06 it's usually red or yellow, two colors I don’t want. It’s really hard to find one in supersonic blue and that’s the only color I would want. If I ever come across one for sale that had the heads replaced and is supersonic blue I might have to take it home.
Whats it like, it’s like any other cheep early 2000s GM car to drive, ls7 is a good motor one you get the heads fixed but the rest of the car is poorly made. I call then the plastic creek and groan cars.

Daily my 2009 Ls3 Coupe. Love everything about it!

I have a 2006 Toyota Tundra blue steel metallic now I need to get a Corvette to match it that Sonic blue would be perfect

Beautiful color! Good advice on getting things fixed and not waiting.
I’ve had my C6 GS 2012 in cyber metallic gray for 2 years now…. I’ve put about 13k miles on it best car I’ve ever owned 🔥

Big 3 ?

@@definitelyrice still wondering about the “big 3 myself”
@@sticrzy123I thought about it, gotta be heads, cam and intake
Yeah my suggestions and don’t get an automatic!
Beautiful car!
Seen your channel and from a small corvette UA-camr myself keep it up man!

Color on this is 🔥
I drive a 2010 Corvette C6 LS3. Love it.
Same, 2010 C6 LS3 6spd. Absolutely love it
@@Kennyfrank1217I love my 2011 C6 Grand Sport convertible with a Manual Transmission. The C6 is one of the best looking Vettes ever made IMO.
@@metaljew4456 It's hard to argue with that. Every line on those cars from every angle is just perfect.
This mf got color premium. Paint or wrap or what ever it is, that color suits the car incredibly well

You answered a question I was just about to ask.
ps, they all drop valves, every single ls7 can drop valves, and 2013s will destroy rod bearings, only a matter of time.
Your swaying me into getting one...

i have no issues with my hci Z blasting ac while its 110 in tx
@@rclova7474 In constant traffic? I can blast my AC too if I'm on the highway going 60+, but not if I'm stuck in traffic for 30 mins...

It all depends where you live in 🇺🇸, also how far is your commute and what you do for work
the taillights are beutiful
Great vid!

Just curious..
How tall are you & how comfortable are you in the C6. I'm a big guy & I want a C6

What color is that vette? If it is what I think it is the z06 carbon in that color is my dream sports car and I’m a 300zxtt owner/ fanatic
Audio is bad in the car
Definitely too quiet :/
You need a microphone. Can’t hear anything

Just say you don’t own or have driven a z06😂
