I go to law school in Sweden, but it's so comforting to hear you talk about your anxiety and panic attacks because I honestly have the same struggles. No one talks about what an impact law school will have on your brain chemistry! I loved this episode, thanks for being so honest.
DON'T GIVE UUUUUUUUUPPPPP! Balance is key (so annoying to hear) but true. Clean your room Take a shower self care Put your fav music Organize your desk To do list Breaaathhhhhhh Let's go. You are not alone baby 🌼♥
Been following you since the shower videos at your parents and law skool journey (as someone who is going to law school next year). It’s so nice seeing this vulnerable, real, raw version of you. Ilysm bestie (with ease)
I’m so glad you used your platform to make this video and shed light on this topic! I am the same grade level as you and am now a barred attorney as well. I really hate how law school and the bar are designed to literally give you mental health issues while making you take out insane loans just to finance it. Ive definitely had anxiety throughout my life but nothing like while in law school. I also got very depressed at one point in law school. Like you, I also think positively in my experience and I really think my friend group helped with that. We weren’t competitive and helped eachother get through hard times. It’s really important to have a good support group in law school. I also had a lot of anxiety about cold calls and had several panic attacks while studying for finals. And this is not to discourage anyone reading this from going to law school. I think law school made me come out of my shell a lot through mock trial team and made me find out that i’m passionate about public interest & criminal defense. But it is a crazy experience and I think professors and law school administrators needs to realize that and stop putting more people through that same trama. Anyways love your videos and your new podcast!! ❤
omg callie i needed this tonight. i'm taking the bar exam for the 1st time on tuesday and thursday. i feel burnt out and this convinced me to take a break tomorrow. thanks for being so honest about ur experience. 1L was hell.
You have been my favorite influence for so long, and this is literally why! I’m in a medical school program right now and it is SO refreshing to hear someone with your platform share their grad school experience. Grad school also gave me severe anxiety and imposter syndrome is SO real. Love you bestie
as someone who has no interest in going to law school, this was so cool to listen to still! my dad is a lawyer, i almost feel like this episode gave me insight into who he is 😂 keep it up Callie!! ❤
tysm for this video callie! as an applicant for this upcoming law school cycle & long time viewer of yours i very much see you as a mentor figure 🥹💕 i’d love a Q&A style vid on your law school experience too!
Never related to anything more than wearing Yeezys in a business casual setting LMAO I have a hard time taking anything seriously so starting law school next fall should be interesting 🤪
Online research says that 96% of law students experience significant stress, compared to 70% of med students and 43% of grad students. But why tho? It's really dumb that they appear to make it stressful on purpose!
