I picked one up the week it was released, and regret nothing. The vast majority of the people who hate on this rig, dont own one, and are speculating. Ive run mine harder than i probably should have, and its held up perfectly. I think youll love it.
Thank you Jason Perrin you make awesome videos. To all the people who say removing the tire is a pain this is a hobby. If that’s a pain maybe you need a new hobby.
It’s a nice rig Jason. I installed a MAX6 G2 ,4990 motor. Dboots Backflips as well. I dremmeled out the center divider of the battery tray to run my larger 6800 mah lipos. I installed the ESC in the forward section of the battery tray, in front of lipo.
You've done an excellent video. And I reference to the observation you made about the seemingly bulbous body. You're correct: it's more scale to the full-scale vehicle. I didn't like that aspect of the RC car, so, I took off the top. Then the panel before the spare wheel got loose, so I took that off too. Now, I have a Super Lasernut that looks quite skeletal, and I LOVE that look. Another thing that I couldn't take were the pair of grasshopper looking fake suspension, so I used lexan and covered them with a pair of panels. I love the new look. Oh, then there's the battery tray which only fit my smart spectrum packs and not the pair of my Gens Ace 3s packs, so I took out that median, and did further modifications to fit my pair of Gens Ace packs. Now, my Losi Super LASERNUT is authentically MINE. 😂 😅 😅
Looks awesome, but I definitly have some durability concerns with it being based on 8th scalecar but stretched out. Quick prediction: that spektrum 2050 motor will overhead, pinion won't stay tight and safe-D clip go's missing on the first run.
Kinda right Wrong Wrong I had concerns also. But I'm happy to say that after two runs everything is going great. Motor did get hot with no fan. I threw on a cheapie Arrma fan this morning, and it helped.

At this point I am 3 runs into it, and I'm really enjoying it. I great all around buggy.

Love your channel dude. This one has me excited. Watching all the way from Southern California. 🤙
Awesome! Thank you!
For the price their getting you would think they would throw 2 30mm fans on that heat sinc.
Heck ya.
Nice looks really sick i want one so i like the bigger rcs there so cool...
Good video. You going to do anymore videos on the mt8? Im still on the fence about getting one, keep going back and for on mt8 and outcast 4s
Very much! I just need to fix it. I broke the C Hub (I think) on the last run and I haven't gotten around to fix it yet. But soon.
@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs nice! What are your thoughts on mt8 compared to outcast 4s? My biggest concerns are durability and long term support for mt8
Why don’t you use the Kagama?
I toasted the motor in it the last time I ran it. So I need to install a new motor in it.
@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs oh ok. Didn’t know if you didn’t like it
Is it worth the cost though? I want the db pro
I'll let you know. I am two runs in atm, and I am loving it. But time always tells. :)
Looking forward to running video
