i bought some unyld/int/fdc CE chest and unyeld/ap/sent CE leg last night for 37k caps total. sold the chest for 17.5k ll3 today lol so made 1.75m caps l0l. vendor hopping is easily the best money maker in game. people use fed76 as a price guide and dont know about or care about the discord/reddit leaders/ll3 market.
Prices have gotten way out of hand.... I've been shopping for over five years now and almost every day I'm on. Frist of all if you see a vending machine with 20, 30 or more weapons definitely check it out cuz thats alot of weapons but I will bet that the prices a crazy high.... Also if there is something you really want and its a tough or rare drop then pay for it because caps are the easiest thing to make or if you are low on caps but have many extra new or tough plans then ask the player if he wants to trade. Selling anything don't put a price over 10K unless its Quad, Bloodied, Explosive, AA, ....etc. If its an average weapon or piece of armor price it so it will sell .... thats why I'm always checking vending machines so I have a general idea what things are going for..... Happy hunting.....
I use a combination of the plan pricing tool (fed76), nukatrader (outdated, doesn’t include new plans), and market76 (not always accurate because console/pc market is so different). It also depends whether or not you want to sell the plans fast, as going below the low end of the reference range will be preferred. If you don’t mind holding onto it for a while you can afford to place them higher. I’ve made millions of caps on my vendor and have 1700 plans in it currently and 4k hours on PS5, and I only keep it up for 2-3 hours at a time because typically I get bought to max caps within a few hours. These numbers aren’t bad, however many of the plans were definitely on the lower end. If you don’t mind sitting on your plans for a while, maybe increase the price by 1-2k from his recommendations. I personally sell alien disintegrators for 8k and I’ve sold 5 with 1 left for example (he recommended 4.5-7.5k)
Honestly what helped me the most was vendor hopping every server, buying whatever I don’t have if it’s cheap, and searching “fallout 76 plan” and the name of the plan for anything priced expensive or I wanted more info on. My mentality has been its rare if I don’t have it. If it’s rare and you want it, just be patient and keep looking around player vendors whenever you play; not everyone prices their stuff crazy
When I started, I visited player camps, had a look at what objects they didn’t always have and by looking at what they did have also figured out what I wanted to save my caps for. For my husband he wanted all the pumpkin rack plans for his Haunted House, for me I wanted the Animatronic clown. Once I got what I wanted I was free to buy whatever else looked good to me. As far as apparel, I suggest waiting until you find a good price on something. When I started I nearly spent 2000 caps on the Straight Jacket, I waited and a few days later found one being sold for 100 caps, so glad I waited. Also don’t be afraid to message players for lower prices, some people are willing to sell for less if you ask, I’m one of them ☺️
In reality as a vet player, never pay over 10k (honestly less than that) in this game, theirs always a better price you just gotta keep looking, or at least do your research before buying. You have Google not even a foot away from you 😅
Most people in the comments don't know pricing. Odds are they're not rare plan collectors or completionists. Sell them for 50. I'll buy and resell. They absolutely do sell high. Want it cheaper? Enjoy server hopping. Time is money. Your prices are alright. Alien events were a bit high. Mothman a bit low. Meatweek a bit high, also. Plushies always sell for a bit more. That was spot on.
I actually sold my 5/6 disintegrator plans for 8k, in my experience the alien plans were pretty accurate approximations on his end. But yeah his mothman plans were priced low. I missed meat week so I can’t confirm or deny pricing off of my experience. You’re spot on about people not knowing pricing, I racked up 20-30 of each fasnacht plan (steins, bells) for 100c each, resold for 2-4k and they’re selling fast. I don’t mind these people, if you sell low I’ll buy and sell high, game is game😁
And people that sell these plans for ridiculous prices that’s why they keep their plans in the game. I got some people that have over 1000 plans in their inventory and try to sell them for like 4000 caps up and they never sell anything because you can go to another server and get the exact same plan for only a few hundred caps from somebody else I never buy high price plans from anybody
yes, your right any plans I have Thay never go any higher than 300 caps. Ammo no higher 2 caps. and most weapons 1-2-or 3 stars no higher than 100😎-2000 caps.

In my Raider ‘camp’ they are hanging Radstags in the trees, Brahmin corpse on the floor, at my second ‘Camp’ it’s in partially submerged grenade chests in the Whitesprings bathroom I built my house on. I’ll put ammo, grenades, beers, radaway, or whatever my little heart desires. To the victor goes the spoils. It’s like treasure hunting ☺️

I remember buying a mask for 1000 caps, because it looked similar to the scream mask, and the next day I seen someone selling the same item for ten caps. Now I try and google what items are worth a lot, so I dont buy worthless rubbish again.
I hope you everyone knows some of these items are bait, like the alien headlamp, or the blueprint plans or diagrams ect, they are only listed higher because their names make them more interesting when they are not at all 🤦 wish they would name stuff better
It’s so weird with the 40k max. Before I knew there was a cap cap. I had like 30k and blew 24k on a Mothman Throne because it was 3am and I thought it was the Tome. Yesterday, like 2 months later I got the book for 5k.
I always keep my plans low, majority 50 caps max as i always have a low caps myself as i spend so many on stuff i dont really use. So I'm basically thinking of another me visiting and being able to afford them 😅 plus I've learnt the plan so why have the price so high I'm never gonna shift them from my vendor
One thing I've noticed is time of day helps as well. During high population times I can sell plans on the higher side, but when it's late night amd not many people are on, you usually gotta lower the price if you want them to move. Mostly because a lot of the graveyard grinders tend to sell plans for cheap quick sale and it's all about matching the economy.

Though it's not hard for people to easily use an IP changer and play outside of their region. A lot of people do that during dead times.
Depends mostly on what the plan does. I've sold 2 "Vintage Water Coolers" (scorched gift event item) that are valued at 2000 caps each... for 25,000 caps each since the start of the event. Check the vendors near the Wayward in game, they sell fast.
VWC plans are actually some of the most expensive and desired event plans, they can usually go for 15-25k, but a lot of people don’t mind paying 20-25 because they just want it that bad and don’t mind sinking that many caps into it
I use Fed76, but I upscale maybe 25% depending on if it’s from an event from a while ago, I generally stash plans, clothing to sell later.. Weapons though, is the way to go anytime🤙
This tactic isn’t also very nice, but I’m a raider (Khan). I vendor hop to buy out uneducated players, and even high level players.. For example the Beeswax candle is worth 4-6k, I didn’t even play during the Mask event on PC, but I stopped by a high level vendor selling them for 1k a pop, bought me all and already sold em’ all for 5k a pop… certified flipper

I learned the hard way to up charge. Going off the website you should always add 4/5k if you afk occasionally while playing to do stuff. I've missed out on 25kb
If it’s event only (holiday, mothman, meat week) you can guarantee it’s in the thousands, anything else is usually below 1k unless it’s a rare drop rate. New skyline valley plans are going for 2-4k but that market will drop as more players accumulate those plans. Id use the plan pricing tool on the fed76 website as a general rubric and adjust based on whats selling/not or if you want to sell it fast or hold onto it for a while.

Nah Butter Churn is well worth 20k caps in my opinion. Only if the event is gone it is a resource item you will have for as long as this game is running 20k caps is a fair price to pay.
The idea of selling something for 10x the value that it set at is beyond crazy. I understand the reason but think about people that will be petty and buy that "insult" that you priced at 40000 caps and you miss all the caps becuase you were close to max caps and you get mad. This is one area i will server hop and see what i can find someone who is pricing closer to the vaule of the item. Don't mind paying 10 to 20 percent above, but not anymore. Rare doesn't always relate to value.
Caps are not easy to come by in this game. All plans are horribly overpriced, both by the game itself and by players. I grab every plan I see and put them up for 5 caps each. Except workbenches, those I price at 0.
Gotta Server hop to get the good deals. I've scene items that normally go for 6k go for 100c. Ive got the Pepper Shaker plans for 500c and got the full fossel plans for 1000k. Only problem with that Item is the weight. I've also got a 2nd glowing mask for 10k. I sell all my Beeswax candle plans for 1k. I have ten of them still and sold the first 3 for 100c not knowing lol.

My favorite is when you ask what something is worth and they say xxx- but try to sell it and you get lowballed, then try to buy one identical and its now worth triple what they valued it at. regular masks 50c to 500c depending on rarity is normal. Glowing can easily fetch 20 to 40k. People that say they are worth more are part of a group that sets outrageous inflated prices, only to trade amongst each other online lol. You can find these same items going to any normal players camps. Other than that, the higher prices are from players that have "heard" they are worth more & price accordingly. Players who have thousands of hours under their belts, know better.

Don’t forget T60 pa plans sell for 4k per plan, rare and doesn’t need an event only cranberry bog maps, technical data gives you T60 bos paints which are worth 8k each
Im guessing you're a console player? Because on pc they will just sit there in your vendor until someone is desperate enough to buy them at that price which is highly unlikely. As for pc users, you can very easily get T-60 plans for 1k caps per plan at other player vendors seems to be the new standard amount sometimes you can even see people selling them as low as 500 or less (now that is what I considered rare lmao) people dupe treasure maps on pc and sell them in bulk for super cheap. So T-60 plans aren't as rare as the olden days and super easy to get ahold of.
I've traded plans for God rolls glowing masks and apparel. You just need to find the person that wants what you are trading. Don't sell yourself short.
Yep. If people want to be super giving and sell for way under market price that's perfectly fine. But we shouldn't be expected to match those low prices or be judged for selling at current market value.
I would prob sell plushie for 1000 to 1500, usable buff or generator 30k ez, weapon pattern 10k to 15k even pepper, and most other back pack or clothing cosmetic for 100 to 500. Personally I highly value usable items like weapons patterns or generators but anything cosmetic I under value that is just me tho. I would sell peppers for 300 cap for the weapon but 10k for the pattern if people don't want to pay they can buy a cheap one and mod it but if you want to make them for your friends then you pay the big money imo. 9:05 How is that crazy I think its worth 30k ez if you know its coming back. I spammed that event 2 weeks and only seen 1 drop even if it comes back many people without time to play wont get it. If the even never comes back this plan ez same level of value as rare mask which is over cap limit. Right now I probably wouldn't sell and only do rare trade. I always assumed these events would just 100% comeback but your right if we dont see them for years then they value of these items is way over 40k. imo 25k cap isn't even alot of money. People will buy a 3 star ez for 1k just to script it that logic you just need to sell 40 3stars and you got cap limit.. 11:50 churn is same as weenie wagon no one knows if these coming back they should be max cap+. Any usable generator have real value and in turn everyone needs so market needs push cap cost. Every cosmetic is just like an nft or crypto and it only have value because people think it had value which means that value can evaporate at any time. This also why weapon patterns have highly value imo.

They really arent much better than RMTers and basically support the gold seller market , as much as they claim theyre against it.. its full of Frauds and Huxters..
My favorite is when you ask what something is worth and they say xxx- but try to sell it and you get lowballed, then try to buy one identical and its now worth triple what they valued it at. There is ZERO stability and ZERO integrity and they arent even close to being able to hold the level of arrogance they flaunt.
I've been playing for about 3 months and got max caps every week. If you're selling things cheap, more power to you, but I try to get a fair price for anything rare.
@@LaVex91 nah youre wrong. You can make 100k caps a day easy on this game and lots of people do it daily. Gold sellers make $50USD -100 daily without a sweat. I have sold 1m in caps on market76 just this month and thats just to make room for more caps. Nobody on reddit says youll make millions of a plan, but weapons and apparel sure.

I sell every plan starting at 25 caps. I sold 2 Fixer plans and 1 Liquid Courage for 100 each yesterday. It's all worthless video game code, not real money.

regular masks 50c to 500c depending on rarity is normal. Glowing can easily fetch 20 to 40k. People that say they are worth more are part of a group that sets outrageous inflated prices, only to trade amongst each other online lol. You can find these same items going to any normal players camps. Other than that, the higher prices are from players that have "heard" they are worth more & price accordingly. Players who have thousands of hours under their belts, know better.
Rare plans 4k caps.
Backpack plans 8k caps.
Vintage water cooler 20k caps.
Stopped in the middle, 😂😂😂😂 cause these are "☁️No.9 Ka - Ching!" prices.... We should care more about the playability and the lovelessness of B. not about that "trading cards pricing".....
Don’t forget T60 pa plans sell for 4k per plan, rare and doesn’t need an event only cranberry bog maps, technical data gives you T60 bos paints which are worth 8k each
Im guessing you're a console player? Because on pc they will just sit there in your vendor until someone is desperate enough to buy them at that price which is highly unlikely. As for pc users, you can very easily get T-60 plans for 1k caps per plan at other player vendors seems to be the new standard amount sometimes you can even see people selling them as low as 500 or less (now that is what I considered rare lmao) people dupe treasure maps on pc and sell them in bulk for super cheap. So T-60 plans aren't as rare as the olden days and super easy to get ahold of.

I find on PS that T60 and T51 plans sell for 2k.
Thr T60 paint plans can easily sell.for 10k.

Yep. If people want to be super giving and sell for way under market price that's perfectly fine. But we shouldn't be expected to match those low prices or be judged for selling at current market value.
I would prob sell plushie for 1000 to 1500, usable buff or generator 30k ez, weapon pattern 10k to 15k even pepper, and most other back pack or clothing cosmetic for 100 to 500.
Personally I highly value usable items like weapons patterns or generators but anything cosmetic I under value that is just me tho. I would sell peppers for 300 cap for the weapon but 10k for the pattern if people don't want to pay they can buy a cheap one and mod it but if you want to make them for your friends then you pay the big money imo.
9:05 How is that crazy I think its worth 30k ez if you know its coming back. I spammed that event 2 weeks and only seen 1 drop even if it comes back many people without time to play wont get it. If the even never comes back this plan ez same level of value as rare mask which is over cap limit. Right now I probably wouldn't sell and only do rare trade. I always assumed these events would just 100% comeback but your right if we dont see them for years then they value of these items is way over 40k. imo 25k cap isn't even alot of money. I only started playing this year and I hit cap limit every few weeks feels like. Just play events and sell script and you make money pretty quick and ez. People will buy a 3 star ez for 1k just to script it that logic you just need to sell 40 3stars and you got cap limit..
11:50 churn is same as weenie wagon no one knows if these coming back they should be max cap+. Any usable generator have real value and in turn everyone needs so market needs push cap cost. Every cosmetic is just like an nft or crypto and it only have value because people think it had value which means that value can evaporate at any time. This also why weapon patterns have highly value imo.
