DON’T pick up the mantis armor right away. Save before you interact with the case like outside the room it’s in, this allows you to re roll the talents on it till you get what you want by just reloading the game if the talents you want don’t appear on it.
Also another great thing about the den is you can also sell your stolen weapons to the merchant and buy it back and it will no longer register as stolen its a great tip to prevent your stuff from being taken when traveling
You can also level up your stealth skill after completing the TYRANNIS puzzle. Just equip a weak weapon and turn 180 degrees, drop into stealth and commence to kill the turrets. They don’t/can’t turn around and you’ll max your stealth skill if you’re using a weak weapon. I did this and finished that quest at level 8 (bring a companion and equip them with high DR gear).
So if you really love a weapon you have stolen and wanna make sure it will never be taken from you when you get in trouble, sell it, and then buy it back at the trade authority. It will no longer be marked as stolen
5:45 There's a computer terminal to the right (you can see it for a split second at 5:49 just before it cuts back to the Tyrannis floor puzzle). If you walk up to the terminal, the screen comes on, and you can hack it to turn the turrets friendly. EDIT: Also, after sending the ship up on the elevator, DO NOT FAST TRAVEL TO YOUR OLD SHIP. Takes 10x longer than necessary. There's an elevator in the Mantis lair that takes you straight up to the landing pad with the new ship. The quest markers should point you straight to the elevator after you have sent the ship up and collected the armor.
Starfield, I haven't been so hooked on a game for years now. I haven't even continued the main quest after you get your quarters and become part of constellation because of the huge amount of side quests. I can truly say I love this game, a serious breath of fresh air.
Quick tip before entering the space station hard save and if the secret note doesn’t drop just restart from ur load it will 100% drop eventually. Don’t make the same mistake I did because I’m 15 hours in and still haven’t found the note.

I found it eventually but I found an even better one. The star eagle just start free space quest chain and they give it to you at the end. It makes the mantis ship look like a junker.
regarding the secret outpost quest, i had the slate drop from a spacer on kreet just after barret gives you the frontier.i was level 2 i think. instead of going straight to the pirate base as directed, i found an abandoned mine a few hundred meters from where you first land. there's not a great deal of resistance there and, if you're just getting started, there's some useful stuff there as well.
I literally brute forced my way through the "mantis" side quest. I didn't even know about this till like a few hours after I had already managed to complete it
I got the secret outpost note immediately in the first area. Before getting on frontier ship the first time go out to the map icon its one of the unknown ones there will be spacer enemies and they will drop it and give you mantis quest.
I find a spacer and got the secret outpost note very early in the Kreet planet, go to the 'caves' (use the scanner to easily locate it). Kill the spacer from behind cover and careful not to trigger the fight with Terromorph.
You can remove the stolen tag from anything by selling it and buying it back from the trade authority vendor. It will not trigger as contraband by a system scan
Not sure if it’s a quality of life thing, but I’ve noticed if I bring an enemy to near death and he’s on the ground, he will try crawling away- it almost made me feel bad for him, Almost
Just a warning I think it’s a bug but the ship you get from the mantis mission has armory and when I put my weapons there and then exit the ship and come back the weapons disappear plus it randomly spawned different gear.
For the galactic star yard Mission I was able to go back in actually find spacers to kill there and i found the secret note so if you completed it you should be able to still go back there and just kill some spacers and then pick up the note.
Why I love Bethesda games - I tried stealing those items from the shop in The Well, got too excited and started stealing everything, got busted, and instead of just paying the fine and losing my items, I got taken to a prison ship and coerced into working for the UC to go deep undercover with the Crimson Fleet to dismantle them from within. I think because I have the Bounty Hunter background.
question, can you still get everything /mainly the Mantis ship) on NG+ when you skip the story missions ? also what happends when you skip them, can you still go to the story locations like the nova galactic staryard ?
It's funny how they put an anti-grav skill in the game but nobody thought about the physics of acceleration. What happens to your stuff on the dashboard when you floor it? What happens to your stuff inside your ship when you floor it? Exactly.
I stored weapons and gear on the manthis ship and a few saves later it was all gone all of it even the stuff that was there before i stored my items so heads up 😅
So like uh... I ranked up pickpocketing all the way and uh... spoiler: If you pickpocket the deputy sheriff at the start of western-themed questline (with Rank 4 Thief skill), you will be extremely happy. Surely, this one will be nerfed, but maybe not.
@@JorRaptor New Atlantis NPCs plus a bit of save-scumming. :D It didn't take too long, and once you get to Rank 3, the probability of successfully pickpocketing is usually over 80%
Emma Wilcox is the NPC. It's one of the nicest weapons I've seen on an NPC thus far. Oh, also, for comedic value, she accompanies you later in the questline and doesn't have a weapon of her own. She never bothered to get a new one!

Now this is something I never thought I’d say! Being that Skyrim was superior to every game in existence but starfield beats it! Few bugs and stuff but it’s a massive massive game and it’s just fresh out so I imagine very soon they will be addressed and sorted but it’s nothing that effects gameplay! This is worth every single penny which is something you rarely hear these days when it comes to games! Well worth it! Just know that the starborn are always watching haha
All I get on starfeild is impossible locks 55 goes and it never give me onesxtgat can be complete so won't be waste ant more on this gamexafter 20 hours with unless loading screens deleted and mover on to next game
I'm on xbox, So far, just a few hours in and have not had a single issue, I preloaded a few days before release, worked all day on release, then when I got home at midnight I opened the game just like any other. Easy Peasy.

DON’T pick up the mantis armor right away. Save before you interact with the case like outside the room it’s in, this allows you to re roll the talents on it till you get what you want by just reloading the game if the talents you want don’t appear on it.

I found some you can just drop and then pick up and the marker will be gone. Doesn't always work but got some decent stuff via that so far

2:42 save before you open the case to get the MANTIS armor, as you can re load it to re roll the stat bonus’s!! Hope that helps
Also, highly recommend do the ranger faction quest in Akila city. Amazing reward in my opinion at the end.. plus becoming a Ranger is just cool.

Just got through with the Mantis quest and once I finish out Groundpounders (orbital parts left) I'll be doing the Ranger quest line!

mantis ship - switch game to hardest setting before boarding and it will affect the weapons you get on upper level rooms inside

I read if you sell stolen goods, you can buy it back and the stolen indicator is now gone. Havent tested it yet, but worth a try.

If u wait for the guy to turn around u can steal as much as u want but u need to be quick

When you say early on in the game you will go to akila what do you mean? because im 5 hours in and still havent gone there?
just don't use a companion when you stealth better yet use that perk "lone wolf", the companions gonna blow your stealth right away
doesnt work like that, stealth detection is based on line of sight of the player not companions too
If you use a stim you can just run past the turrets
Take the minigun and 1 bullet and give them to your companion. I watch Sarah mowing down rooms full of spacers and pirates 😂
You can actually go to the nova staryard without any quests active

Secret note is a random drop got mine on a random out post early its jus luck from spacers dropping it to get quest

Also, it will be a white text weapon, but it still has a full mod compliment and it's a 50 dmg Grendel. It is insane.

It's more like a mix of fallout, mass effect, outer worlds, and nms. It's brilliant despite a few faults.
