For anyone wondering It is not illegal to record someone without their consent in a public place if they are visible and audible, especially if they don't have reasonable expectations of privacy. But in a private setting, such as a bathroom or changing area, recording someone without their knowledge is illegal. So wouldn’t it be harassing to film one other person or legal but it is very rude. I don’t recommend you do it. I do not stand for what the video did, but it is his right so
fun fact: you're the one who's at fault because mta rail employees reserve all rights to patrol the train without being harrased and that guy at 0:04 was right you dont have rights to film the train ride whilst letting ppl in the way of you actually delete this video and you might avoid possibly getting in trouble with the police for this next time you're commuting vie the mta
1. It is legal to film inside the train as there is no reasonable expectation of privacy since you are perfectly visible (unless it’s a bathroom, then that’s a different story) and MTA policy allows people to be filming in their system. Plus if you don’t really want to be filmed, maybe don’t work in a public job? 2. I’m 99% sure that I can’t get arrested for filming as stated in the First Amendment
@@GamingWeekends1 i understand, but next time you catch public transportation in nyc avoid people blocking your video by pointing the camera toward the floor of the train and bus and if it's empty record how you prefer cuz it's rude and can annoy others when they block your video
@@GamingWeekends1 Some people in the train don’t appreciate being filmed. One of them even said that in the clip I believe. Respect their wishes, even if it is your birthday, and don’t be a whiney asshole to MTA employees, they have enough going on as it is. I love trains aswell, but if you are told to stop filming by railway officials, please just stop filming.
@@smythfamily8321 since the train is public property, he could film wherever he wants, but even though it is his right, it would occasionally come off as rude so I do respect you

Also note: Being rude is COMPLETELY different from harassment
