Your top books list was full of books I hadn't ever heard of. Hardly ever see booktube creators talking about unique works that others aren't already. Very cool
Anna, I love your channel! You are so eloquent & such a fantastic presence. Thank you for your passion! I look forward to expand my TBR every time I watch your videos!
As someone with siblings with significant disabilities, I read Of Mice and Men once about 25 years ago and I still get all fucked up whenever I think about it.
Usually an American's British accent is inspired by someone posh like Julie Andrew's or someone more Mrs. Lovitt but you went the route of Little Dorrit, and I love that for you.
I read a genuinely embarrassing number of books in 2024. For 2025, I've given myself a maximum number of books I'm allowed to read each month. I'm hoping that will force me to focus more on reading higher quality books instead of just whatever is in front of me.
Love your hair!! I’ve been on a quest to read all the Newbery Winner books and I’ve got 14 left for 2025! Going to through a big party when I’m done, I’ve always loved children’s literature and these are the best of the best
S/o to Of Mice and Men’s Lennie. Right there with you curly girlie Ana! Also read The Shards this year and loved it. 103 for me in 2024. I can see that number significantly dropping this year, as I'm aiming to read more classics (including but not limited to Count of Monte Cristo, Stoner, East of Eden).
I think your hair always looks great. in the first video I watched of you the very first thought was wow she's gorgeous the hair and the colour you wore ✨️✨️
from one curly girl to another, your curls are gorgeous and I am jealous. I also have a fantasy about living off-grid, would appreciate any other book recs you have that would help fuel that fantasy
Love the curly. I’ll have to rewatch this to get a list going. Multitasking is where a lot of things get started but nothing gets finished. 🤷🏼♂️ five books. Three of the, were audio. I’ve been working on three graphic novels so it’s chaos over here.
You’ve been such a treat to me throughout 2024- you inspired my reading list so much this past year, even just looking more into rich quality books. You should try gilead by marilynne robinson it was my favorite book of 2024!
What is the book title and author you mentioned @ 32:31 ? I would love to read that book too, since I would love to write a book about my experience as a Rwandan girl✨
Ana, thank you for the great reviews always enjoy watching! I am really curious about your review of the princess of 72nd street? Describing it as fun and a “bohemian sex and the city”, when I took it as a really devastating and harrowing peek into manic depression. The scene where she comes out of her radiance back into depression is so heartbreaking…and her realizations of what took place during radiance was so painful “why did the flute player hurt me?” Maybe I was taking it too seriously, but found nothing fun about it 😢
If you want a good reason to not go off-grid, "Cheap Land Colorado" by Ted Conover is a very good reason. Non-fiction; NYC-based writer spends a chunk of time in southern Colorado off-grid where the land is virtually free.
Would recommend trying another of Banana Yoshimoto’s books - I thought Lizard was good but loved Kitchen and The Premonition (unfortunately I didn’t like N.P)
Hey Ana I recently discovered your channel and have been catching up on some of your content. You’ve talked highly of Zadie Smith’s White Teeth. I read it my sophomore year of college and I loved it. I also read Arundhati Roy’s The God of Small Things that semester. If you haven’t read it, consider adding it to your list of reads. It is excellent. Smith credits Roy as an influence in her work. Shout out to our Indian Queens.
ln 2025 I highly recommend everyone to read Your Life Your Game by Keezano. It beautifully shows how connecting with God and building meaningful relationships can lead to spiritual growth and success in both your personal and professional life. This book truly changed my life..a must-read. God bless
goal: read all my books on my TBR. Watch this....... Goal: Buy all the books mentioned that peaked your interest. Never fails lol My TBR will never be demolished.
loving the dwayne johnson outfit
What's missing... A fanny pack
Iconic
praising the natural curly hair it’s STUNNING

Girl I've found your channel this December and I'm in love with the content and you! Great video this one
Your next Baldwin should be Giovanni’s Room!
love the hair
it's helpful when you show the cover on screen for the hard of hearing girlies
Love your hair!! I’ve been on a quest to read all the Newbery Winner books and I’ve got 14 left for 2025! Going to through a big party when I’m done, I’ve always loved children’s literature and these are the best of the best
here to praise the curls and also your humor!!! love a channel that makes me feel big brain and silly at the same time.
Girl, your hair is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS, and I'm in the need of a tutorial.
Some stuff to add to my 2025 TBR. Thanks as always for your content Ana. Natural curls, give ‘em a whirl!! Oh, and I read 188 books in ‘24. Eek 😬

I’m trying to do all of Cormac McCarthy’s novels this year.
I think the *cameraman* in the mirror did a great job. Love the channel. Happy New Year.

Cheers to 2025! I wound up reading 101 Books last year - some of them were featured in your video. Happy Reading! :)
Spicy, funny and captivating. Thanks. I want more Ballard, only have read Drowned World. Nice curls btw.
I read 23 - bad mental health year. Smothermoss was my favourite.
U got a great year. I wanted to read many of those books

I also cried my eyes out when reading the ending of Of mice and men…made me fall in love with Steinbeck immediately😂
New Subbie 🎉 love your content and personality. Makes me want to broaden my reading palette ❤
curls + the rock cosplay

Maybe I was taking it too seriously, but found nothing fun about it 😢
White oleander was also a pivotal teen read for me

it's really crazy how nobody is talking about the book the elite society's money manifestation
Love the curls! I'm reading May Sarton' Journal of a Solitude, have you read it? I think you would love it! Happy New Year from Croatia!
Not Enriquez’s best. Don’t let that turn you off. Her other story collections are way better and her novel is phenomenal.
I like the dude in the mirror just chillen. 30:14
im in love with rachel cusk, i admire her so heavily
Would recommend trying another of Banana Yoshimoto’s books - I thought Lizard was good but loved Kitchen and The Premonition (unfortunately I didn’t like N.P)
Happy Birthday to you and your stunning and natural curly locks! I’m a bit early. It’s the 8th right? 🎉❤🎂

Also how much of your audience are women? It’s hilarious that you refer to all your viewership as ‘girl’ 😂

I'm gonna be nice and just give it to you. The Kin of Ata are waiting for you by Dorothy Bryant. Unforgettable.
The Milagro Bean Field War is good readin. LOL comedy.
Meanwhile I'm averaging 5 a year
Anything is better than 0
You ever read a book so good you wonder if you will ever read a good book again?
Can I recommend a good book? Top of the World by Hans Reusch. And the sequel Back to the Top of the World was just as good if not better.
goal: read all my books on my TBR. Watch this....... Goal: Buy all the books mentioned that peaked your interest. Never fails lol My TBR will never be demolished.
This year?
My issue is if a book doesn't hook me in the first 50 pages, I can never bring myself to finish it.
Unlike myself - currently forcing myself thru “A Man Called Ove” and wondering who on earth could actually enjoy this book.
I read 95 books this year (yes, I'm bragging 😇)
😂 😂 📚🪱💚
❤
Appreciate the Dwayne Johnson cosplay and all the play recs! My goal is to read a play each month in 2025 and you've helped me get the list going.
"Tom Crean, An Unsung Hero,"
was with Shackleton, makes a most excellent companion book to "Shackleton."
