Loved skiing in utah! We stayed in SLC, rented our car & equipment. 5 days in Utah, skied 5 mountains!!!!!! Glorious. Perfect snow. On Alta's ski chair it began snowing. Sure see why a single snowflake is their logo. Each snowflake landed on our jackets... just so PERFECT.😊

I Rented some skis and after a few runs my Dad and sister were ready to head up. It was frightening but fun. I had no business being there because of my time away from skiing but I made it. That put the skiing bug back into me and I split time between the 2 from there on out.
I did that run in college, 2001 I think, with over a foot of new snow and I'll never forget it. I haven't been back to Alta since, but this year I will!

last season some of my family friends flew in from new jersey to come and ski alta, but the week that they were here little cottonwood canyon was closed so we had to go to brighton, snow basin, and beaver mountain, just a quick question what is you favorite run in alta, mine is either down and out of catherine’s then zooming down to the cat shop at the bottom of sunny side or hiking up the run when you get off of the wildcat lift then hike up into snow bird then after your done skiing snowbird hiking up and out where main chute ends.
Random thought but my biggest gripe is often when im skiing is I get so jealous of the snowboarders, and when in snowboard i get so jealous of the skiers.
Alta, in Utah (US). It's a ski-only resort, but it's connected to another big resort called Snowbird from the top that allows skiing and snowboarding. Both are great. Hope Austria was awesome!
