- ✨✨I GOT A NEW CAR GUYS!!!✨✨
I got my car on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Tustin Toyota. I applied for the Replace Your Ride program earlier this year and got approval to trade in my old 2006 Scion xB that currently has 200,300 miles on it. I am now waiting for my case manager to contact me to let me know when I need to drive my old car to the dismantler.

I was in between choosing Rav4 Prime, Hybrid XLE Premium, Hybrid XLE, and Hyundai Tuscon Hybrid. This car was in stock and in a nice color so I went with it :D

Congratulations on your purchase ma'am I'm typically a Ford customer myself and I just recently did a trade in at my local Ford dealer as a result of a trade-in deal I just recently purchased a used 2015 RAV4 that just happened to be on their used sales lot the RAV4 is an excellent vehicle I only hope that in the future when I have to do another trade and I can get my hands on another one. :)

Was searching for Replace Your Ride and I found this video. Kind of a coincidence that I'm also looking to replace my 2006 Scion xB that's also over 210k miles. 😛 I'd be interested in hearing about the RYR process, as I'm about to put in an application to replace my car with an e-bike.

I love how fuel efficient it is so far!
Toyota has done an excellent job creating a sense that their cars are special. They’re reliability certainly seems accurate, but, my god, are their boring.
For the most part, they’re perfectly adequate, and do everything well, but just not very exciting. The RAV4, specifically, has the least engagement in the class.
Anyway, it is definitely a good car, and I hope you enjoy!
Congratulations !! Is this silver sky color. Does this have metallic Rav 4 Badging at the door openings.
the back has black badge/logos. I didn't it as first and wanted it removed and replaced with the silver/metallic ones, but my friend and bf told me the black gives the car a more premium/luxury (lol) look so I kept it on, and now I love it !

Thanks! I had a markup of $2,500 on top of MSRP. I also got an extended warranty which cost roughly $2,000 ish more.
@@charlene-tsai That warranty is a waste of money and a rip off!! Also that markup fake fee!!

@@vincents2056 Toyota cars all come with 3 years right? So they said if I get extended, it goes to 8 years and I'm like, ok why not. I'm thinking right before it expires, I can change out the battery and during those 8 years get maintenance done...it's all included. That's why I got it. Is there something I should know about the extended warranty on why I should get a refund? Thanks in advance.

aw man, I've actually been hearing about this situation a lot :( I wonder if it depends on your location or how fast these cars get snatched up. It's true that the ones that are in transit (like mine here) get sold almost IMMEDIATELY. I hesitated on the one I was looking at before this one, and my dealer sold it to some lady in about 10 mins. I called back, and he said "sorry, it's sold!"
Yeah unfortunately I ordered a 2022 rav4 hybrid XLE back in November 2021. But the good news my vehicle will arrive on Feb 26 but I will schedule to pick it up on March 3

How did you trust that the program would come through with reimbursing you with you not being approved? I’m waiting to be assigned a case worker if Im told this I don’t think I would be confident in going through with getting a car.
Hello. I actually had such a hard time trusting in the process and timing. Everything seemed "too good to be true". I understand what you're saying. Honestly. I had to pray about this waiting situation a lot (I am a Christian) and talk to my family for support. Some examples of waiting and anxiety moments for me are: 1) my case worker assignment took a long time and I thought my case would never get handled. I thought the worst and would even think "what if the replace your ride program gets canceled?", but eventually, I got a case worker. Not every worker is easy to reach, so send all your communications with email for records. If you call them, follow up with an email. 2) I was skeptical that the $7,000 wouldn't come from the program after I made a payment to Toyota and thought I might get scammed. My case worker and my dealer reassured me many many times. I also read a lot of reddit posts saying this is normal, but I have to say, this was the riskiest part for me. You must be able to handle that it's like buying tickets to a concert or traveling to a destination resort. If in an act of God, the concert is canceled or the resort is closed due to unforeseen events, you will lose your investments in travel time and money to see the concert or to go on vacation. This is the same as the program. If the program is canceled in the middle of your process, then you must be able to move on. ***There's a lot more I can speak about and I apologize to anyone who has questions and has been waiting to see a new video update. I have been dealing with some health set backs which has delayed my filming. Thank you for understanding. The Kia Sportage Hybrid is about $3-4000 less than the Tucson hybrid and less than the Rav4 hybrid as well.
I ordered the XLE hybrid on 7/4/2022, I am still waiting. The dealer told me it will take 6 to 9 months. My friend ordered one in May from a different dealer, they told her 4 months. It has been 7 months, still waiting.

@@yowsupjj man, I wish I could have! haha. but I currently live in an apartment complex that doesn't have a charging area. I don't plan to move into a home that will have a place for a plug in any time soon either, so the extra $2,500 wasn't worth it. PLUS, for tax purposes, there wasn't an extra rebate available for purchasing a full EV (plug in) vehicle anyways. (Another thing, the Rav4 prime was on my list of interest, but it was almost 15-20k more expensive after all the dealer add ons. Any of the smaller plug ins like a prius or a Tesla was too small for me)

Hello Richie, I liked Peter because we both spoke English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese. You know how when someone speaks your parental language, it just hits different? Haha. Now, he was great at his job and very fast working, but remember, he is a car sales person at the end of the day, so be mindful that he can still get pushy! Remember your own boundaries and speak up for what you want and need :)

I got two because this car was shipped from Japan. One fob is the original from Japan and the other is the dealership copy from America :)

Yes, it was $2,500 markup. On top of MSRP, there were also dealer add ons for the car like weather upgrades, roof racks, etc. That was an extra $1,000-$2,000 as well.
What the HELL!!@@ why pay for Mark up???? I thought you are supposed to negotiate from MSRP downwards!@!
@@lanaofficiel4042 because of the car/chip shortage, all the dealerships that accept replace your ride (the program I participated in trading my car in for money) have a mark up. This dealer I worked with already reduced his markup and worked very well with me. Other dealers and locations were asking for $5,000-$7,000 on top of MSRP. That's super ridiculous.

Yes, my car is a 2023 model. Maybe there are new modifications or versions out now, I'm not sure about that. Things are always changing and updates are always being made, just like cell phones or other products. Thank you for sharing.
