Installing A Headliner In A Classic Car

Replacing a headliner in a 1987 LS Brougham Box Chevy Caprice I had to remover the old headliner after I installed a sunroof...I basically had to just fabricate my own headliner due to the sunroof frame and motor.....any questions feel free to ask SprayWayCustoms

I was doing my youngest a favor by sharing your video channel for him to watch and learn. And learn he did, he learned that if he begged and hassled me enough, I would have to bucket my tools, equipment and most of the products needed to do what “SpayWayCustoms” did in this episode! Do it dad, I know you can do what SprayWayCustoms did!
I have stuff to do, my stuff, projects my wife wants and then there is always maintenance and other things I know need to be at my house. Just use the original board peice with the hole cut in it you had and use headliner or suede headliner with foam attached and pull tight around edges

Did you change your mind about cutting slits on the corners of the light box to hide the folds?
That's what I meant. Only other way to do it is sew the seams together if you can't wrap it without wrinkles. Thanks for watching

Ddue, this was really awesome. I have an SUV (ok, its a minivan....don't judge me!) with a sunroof the dealer put on. The headliner was falling down so I have been trying to replace it for several months and all i have to show for it are some f#$ked up headliners I got from Pick-A-Part that were in good shape when I got them. I have to give some thought to what i witnessed in your video but I think I can do. Of course, I thought the same thing when i undertook this project. Wished you were nearby. Anyway, thanks for sharing your work.

Thought this guy was a painter guess i was wrong so far i have seen painting beautiful paint jobs at that custom dashes that gave me ideas and now headliners very talented and all this from a garage in the backyard goes to show the best talent is never discovered if he had a big shop he would be rich and have his own show actually he should try to get his own show i would definitely watch
