Ey man Just by following your instructions i gained the courage for changing my 1983 wagoneer headliner and it will be done tomorrow and I'll be very happy to send you pics when its done a lottttt offfff RESPECT and appreciation from Iran 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Awesome job! Just did my 65 impala and still have to trim - no tack strips on the sides just glue wasnt sure if i should leave a little and tuck it into the trim channel ? Not sure if it will add too much thickness for trim clips??
2 years ago when I was just starting out in amateur upholstery just for myself, I had no Idea what the hell you were doing lol. Now that i've done some stuff, your methods are completely clear. Just getting ready to do my 70 Impala headliner. I kept everything intact as much as possible to make patterns. It seems the distance between the bows would be the same, but they are definitely not. If someone just measured one section and cut the rest the same, they would have been screwed. I will be doing all separate pieces sewed together. If I did it like you do. I would mess it up lol.
Thank you so much going to give it a try on my vintage car 4 dr sedan has 5 rods .One question my car has a small oval rear window ...do I cut that in after the headliner is in place ? kind of like the light in this video ? I have no patterns but all the rods are still in place and the headliner is fabric Mohair type . Any help before I try would be welcome ...Thanks loads
Great videos. Best on UA-cam! Thank you. One quick question. I am doing the headliner in a 1988 Toyota pickup and need to use glue like you did in the video. What type of glue would you use? What came out was still gummy and orange. Can I get something to brush on or in a spray can? Thanks again for great videos! God Bless.
Nice video, gives me confidence to attempt it myself. I will run into trouble as usual hahah but i will try. Can I re use the same old headliner? Since it is only sagging not ripping or anything, its good condition just saggy, your thought?
Thanks so much. I may try to make and install one in my '48 Chevy Coupe. How many hours does it take you to do one? Then I will double that and might be close.👍😁

Like a dumbass, I was just getting to run my bows through the listing on my 70 Impala and realized I only made 1 inch listing. I made the strips myself and now I have to take them all off and make them inch and half. at 1 inch the bows won't slide through, especially since these bows have a bend on the end. some cars don't. I am unhappy with that lol
I made mine with 2 1/2" strips of fabric. Folded in half, and sewn with a 1/2" seam they come out to just the right size for the bows on my 57 Chevy. I tried 2 1/4" strips, but could not get the bows through it after it was sewn with the 1/2" seam.

Thank you for your videos , it helps me to restore my classic car
This video is great! I'm no professional, but I want to fo the headliner in my 63 Pontiac this winter. I'm ready to try it!
Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
I'm just wondering what he is stapling into.
Most old cars have some 1/4" thick tar paper/cardboard stuff that is held in by clips. Then you can staple the fabric to that stuff with 1/4" staples.
Thanks bro!
What Staples are you using and what are you stapling to? 🤷
Can you do my 1966 lincoln continental In Oklahoma city?
Thanks so much. I may try to make and install one in my '48 Chevy Coupe. How many hours does it take you to do one? Then I will double that and might be close.👍😁
Great video. Now I have an idea how to approach my 1950 DeSoto.

I have a 39 Plymouth with the center of the top has a soft middle vinyl top some of the wire ribs are short i was just wondering if it was normal
even in English, great job!
Thanks
Are you stapling into the roof or the car or something else?
