Played hammer on switch base rise, it got me into this game. Eventually other weapons beckoned but this video is the one that may make me take at least a look back at hammer. Thank you.
What hammer would you recommend for each element, haven't unlocked the whole tree yet but would like to know what hammers should I start to build from before
What Kevin said about courage. As for strength hammer, you can make espinas hammer,(fire) mizutsune(water), astalos(thunder). They give you 20% affinity which gives you room to add perhaps handicraft and other skills that bump up your raw damage. Goss harag's(ice)hammer has negative affinity but stupid high raw. Lunagaron is good as well with 40 units of purple sharpness. Gaismagorm hammer(dragon) is a good raw choice, especially with augments. The kamura hammer is also a very versatile choice for elementless hammer, with lv 4-2 slots.
@@florbromh Never thought we would end up with so many options! gotta build all of them. For the strenght ones would you still build the element focused skills into your sets? or just raw.
@@Haxorus2008 no reason not to add them in! They don't get in the way of your attack/crit decos since they're level1 decos. The elemental boost is less significant for strength so whether you want to add it in or add some defensive/utility skills is up to you =)
With strength you can still use elemental Hammer, but choose the Hammers that have higher raw/better sharpness, and invest more in raw skills. For example, a good ice hammer for strength is either Goss harag or lunagaron's hammer. There are Hammer's for every element that have 20% affinity, and low elemental values, for example astalos hammer. That one is more suited for strength. The Hammers with very high element values, are more suited for courage.

Amazing use of the Water Strike. It honestly made it look like the monster was never attacking you or just couldn't. Great gameplay.

You highlighted the spider for so long I was waiting for it to be used lmao
And then I messed it up lol

Wow, I'm glad to hear that. Hammer is a lot of fun in sunbreak =]
I was expecting lucent to be rough on Hammer but the matchup is surprisingly good. It's a lot of fun!
It is! If I didn't have adult responsibilities I'd be full on addicted to fighting Lucy.
6 minutes? That's insane, takes me 20
You should see what hammer speedrunners can do 😳

@@florbromh awesome, thank you!
Is elemental hammer only viable for courage mode? Or does strength work too?
