Roadie will be a loving part of her forever family and only growing a closer and closer bond. I'm so glad this family rescued her and understands and allows her to have her own space and time. When you lay down with animals, expect the fleas and pathogens they carry as part of the arrangement. The world's bird population is down 40% due to domesticated cats...a Hannibal Lector in every one of them which kills for sport in every one of them. Of course, "MY animal doesn't do such thing" is what we hear from the actual mother of gang members who also kill for sport.

It’s so cute how she wants to be put to bed. Our cat, actually my daughter’s cat does the same thing except he wants my daughter to go to bed with him. He’ll come looking for her, then follow her around the house as though he’s herding her towards the bedroom. Once she gets in bed, he’ll climb up there with her and make himself comfortable. The whole thing is so sweet. ❤

I'm grateful for this channel because it demonstrates that, despite all of the heartbreaking stories about animals in need, there are people ready to put in the effort to help animals in distress. It takes a lot of patience, time, and love to get through a situation like this. Thank you for sharing the word about this story, which hopefully inspires others to do the same if an animal's path crosses theirs.

That baby's been through a lot. Confused at first but turned into a love bug. For anyone who rescues a stray, if they're scared or even hissy at first, don't give up on them. They'll eventually love you & even show gratitude. Been through it many times doing rescue work.

Almost all of our animals were strays. You’re so right.
My dog was found wondering the road by himself, by our local animal shelter, and I ended up adopting him from the shelter after he had been in for a bit. He is more clingy and has more separation anxiety then our previous dog who was not a rescue, but it is well worth the extra work you put into loving them to see your dog or cat come out of their shell and joining the family❤️ always recommend rescue animals, they’re worth the extra effort and I swear I think they remember being rescued.

But people around went around to help the person who hit the poor thing and dude didn't have a single scratch on him...the dog was bleeding from the mouth and my uncle got out of the car to give it cold water to stop the bleeding, sadly as far as I remember we couldn't do much, I just kept hoping it would be fine :(

This is so adorable, my dog will walk towards his bed and stare at me until I follow him which basically means he wants me to watch him fall asleep and occasionally pet him and if I fall asleep next to him, he will tap me awake until I begin petting him again LOL he's so cute

Roadside....brings back memories. The street that ran in front of the hospital I worked at is named Rainbow Boulevard. June 6, 2006 I was on my way home and someone threw A tiny kitten out of their moving car in front of me. I stopped and picked him. A car in the next lane had hit him. I rushed him to the overnight emergency vet clinic where I thought they were just going to have to put him down. But nope, they said he should be sore for a couple days, but he would be fine. I had to pick a name on the spot so he became Boulevard, Bully for short.
People mistreating animals like that belong in jail. Thankfully, you were there. Thanks for taking care of Bully! Wishing you all the best!

We have a cat room, too. But then we have 12 rescue cats ... they live in the entire house, of course, but their scratching trees, cat houses, feeding place, their own qsofa, a truckload of toys and some litter boxes are in their 'cat room'.
Maybe it's more common when you have dogs too. We have the cat room set up so that the cats can come and go freely, but the dogs cannot get in.
My cat had a room with all her stuff and a gate to keep the dogs out of her stuff. She came into the rest of the house as she pleased. RIP Boo.💕. We still call it the cat room after about 8 years later.
My grandpa made a little house and 'yard' for his cats in the breezeway.
My cat doesn't have a single room, they think the entire house is their room!

I love these stories of kitties getting rescued and gaining loving families. I found a kitten who'd been abandoned once many years ago, and she almost instantly bonded with me. No one could figure out why anyone would abandon her; she was adorable and very sweet, and she ended up being my little angel for 20 years.

The vet undoubtedly scanned for a microchip, and although not shown, perhaps the sweet couple made inquiries. She is definitely in excellent hands now. It does highlight the importance of microchipping!
I was thinking similar. Had a friend who’s parents had an outdoor cat. They had her for around 5 years until she was taken. She didn’t show up for about 3 weeks. The cat wasn’t microchipped. Cat showed up one night with a collar and a name tag. They ended up calling the other family. Thankfully the new family were sweet about it, had a good laugh and were willing to give her back. They said that the cat would try to bolt out the door every chance it got and now they knew why lol. After that experience the cat ended up getting microchipped, collar and a new ID tag 👍

Yet her current family cared enough to work with Roadside so she came inside and built a strong bond! It all worked out best for the feline, yeah?

Roadie is a beautiful cat. She deserves a good home, with people that would take care of her. Nobody knows what she suffered that day by the side of the road. Having a head injury on top of it is heartbreaking. So glad you picked her up and took care of her. She's ok now, all is good, Roadie is safe. She is such a beautiful fluffy cat.

Her bedtime routine is like my cats' routine. They have to be out into the livingroom, door closed, and they settle all night, generally. They will meow at me and keep running down the stairs if I'm upstairs and they want to go to bed, especially Mr Cheese. He really likes a routine! 😂

"her room?!" What you meant to say was her house! I know the feeling, brought in a feral that had been outside for 10 years. She came in on her terms and was tentative at first. Now she's running me and my three boy cats. Amazing how that happens. I love them all dearly! I've learned, we live with cats on their terms. Very different from dogs! Dogs are wonderful as well. Cats are just easier as we get older. Best to all!

What an absolute sweetheart. I love all animals but I love cats soooo much. Our 22 year old cat wants to be tucked in bed every night at 9pm sharp. She waits for us at the base of the stairs to be followed upstairs, fed and have a blanket partially set over her in one of her beds in her own private room that's the warmest room in the house. =)

FINALLY! A video of people like me. They listen to their pets and let them "speak" their needs. I've done it all my life and it has gotten to the point that my rescue German shepherd/border collie mix will use different vocals and body language to communicate with me because he knows I am listening to him.
I know when he needs a poo from him just looking at me. I also know when he wants to play or just have a cuddle.
People say Roadie is spoiled but I think she is just understood and accepted.

I use to have a cat that when my son would go to bed I would say, “it’s bed time” and he would go in his room and go to sleep with him..in the morning when my alarm would go off the cat would come out like it’s was time for him to go to work..I never seen anything like that before..my son was so cute cause once in a while he would stay up and my son would say, it’s not fair that buddy doesn’t have to go to bed like me tonight” lol..

I went down to my local SPCA a week ago and got myself a rescue cat. Her name is Kit, she's 2 years old, and is a white and gray tabby who comes from a very abusive environment, she has trouble trusting folks. I've always been a dog guy but my health isn't that good right now so I couldn't care for a dog properly. Well I've fallen madly in love with my Kit Kat. She's still afraid of me because I'm a dude with a deep voice. But she's starting to come around now she doesn't run from a room if I enter, plus she allows me to pet her now. I'm excited to spoil her like crazy, I just love her to bits.
