@@sanjogh777 All non-feral cats aren't cuddly, so it doesn't seem likely that all feral ones are. Grandpa Mason, for example, the famous feral kitten carer, never really bonded to humans in the three years he lived at a kitten rescue. The main thing is, she loves the cat she's got, however he turns out to be with her, and that's great to see.

I had a big grey tabby hanging on our property spraying every five feet. I humanely trapped him, neutered him, named him Mister, and released him back on our yard. He hung out and ate and never sprayed again. One day he walked in thru the slider crying for help. His neck was ripped open. Off to the vet for stitches, etc. He never left the house/yard and was the cuddliest cat we ever had. He loved to be held and purred in his sleep. He would greet everyone who came over and slept on his back between us every single night. I miss him so much.

Its a hormonal adapdation that causes their jaws to swell from countless bouts of fighting with other unneutered toms outside. The most alpha tom is the one with the largest face but one of the most affectionate cats we ever had as a family was a great big black British short hair tom, always quick to anger and yet at the first sign of anyone becoming afraid or sad, he'd jump up on your lap and rub his huge face into yours.
My mother was never a cat person (despite my dad adopting well over 8 strays (to my knowledge) over the course of their marriage. My dad would literally walk home and be followed by a stray.
However this big black cat literally determined that my mother would love him no matter what and hed follow her into the bathroom every morning, sit in the mat beside her whilst she had her bath every morning before work.
She had never directly fed him but this cat was determined.
They were all devasted when he died at 14 but he'd lived a very well loved life with us, as did all our cats.
Both my mum, dad and uncle (the family I grew up with), have now passed on but
I've now inherited my late dads cat and she's just begun to be very affectionate with me after 2 years since my dads passing.

A feral female I named Mama Cat started visiting me because I left a can of tuna out on the porch of the vacant house next door. Mama Cat turned out to be pregnant. For whatever reason, maybe because she was pregnant, she would come to me and let me hold her. One time she brought me a drumstick from someone's trash. She had her kittens and an owl got all but one of them (I need him Baby Kitty, because I'm original that way). Because I was so upset about the owl I got a wire pet carrier with a solid top and made a bed in there for Mama Cat and Baby Kitty. Baby Kitty would never let us touch him(her), and would hiss at me anytime I came near. I was never able to bring Mama Cat and Baby Kitty into the house because I had a dog who was very anti-cat.

@@qmnnvrdyz8965 I agree somewhat cause I do also think it cruel to keep a cat indoors their whole life especially with their wild instincts. I only let mine out back (where it's just gardens, the front is where the street is) and because they're all spay and neutered they don't wander. Fixing your pets makes all the difference. They don't wander as far.. All 10 of mine are always within hearing distance, so if I call them they come running. If you lived in a culdysac that would also be ok to let them out, it's a lot less dangerous. But to NEVER let a cat go outside is cruel imo.. @@qmnnvrdyz8965 - My boy started life as a stray; an outdoor cat. And when I adopted him at the age of 6 months it was extremely difficult to keep him inside so I had to let him out. About three or four years ago he came home badly bitten requiring medical intervention. When it happened again about 8 months later he became a full time indoor cat with no exceptions. It took him months to get used to it without constantly nosing at the door and crying to go outside but it was worth the effort. Mango is 12 now and perfectly content to sit in my lap or in the window smacking his lips at the birds or howling at the enemy cats outside who are invading his territory. I couldn't ask for a better companion.

Reminds me of my cat buddy, Barnaby. He showed up at my house all skin and bones. We made him a big storage bin house in the backyard and fed him morning and night. One day he wasn’t there, so I thought he had been hit by a car and died. I drove the neighborhood looking for him and on my way back, I saw him slowly limping towards our house. I had to use a trap to catch him, then take him to the vet. His front legs were badly injured by a fox or raccoon. I sat with him and gave him medicine morning and night. We kept him in a really big dog kennel until his tests came back and he healed completely. We saved his front legs and he became my little buddy after that. He loved being inside, and was always at my side when I was home.

Moreover, "concur" and "conquer" are both verbs, making the error more confusing than it might otherwise be if they had been different parts of speech, because then the error would've been more obvious. I myself had to stop and think and reread the sentence to figure out what the commenter meant.
So in a case like this, there's nothing wrong with making a necessary correction, as long as it's done nicely, without insults or condescension. It also benefits the commenter (and possibly other readers), who will hopefully learn from the experience. "Concur" means to agree, while "conquer" means to vanquish, i.e. win, as in a battle.
If we keep our minds open, we can all learn something. 🙂

My dog and I took in a feral kitty that was going to be TNR in early December. She was vetted and spayed, and needed a temporary indoor home while she healed. We really didn't want to release her back into the dangerous world, so she's still with us. She hides all day, but comes out at night to eat, go potty, play and explore. Last month she moved to a spot during the day where I could actually see her. Little by little, she's letting me get closer to her and I can now pet her head for a few seconds before she attempts to swat at me and hiss/growl. I've been giving her cat calming chews and CBD oil since last month and think that's why she's making good progress. I really hope one day she'll go beyond her door in her room to join us. And that I'll be able to kiss her. Thank you for loving the Chonky Mr. Crabs!
