I am the (7th) Doctor: Retro Style Tribute V2

- A remix of the original tribute to the great umbrella man - the 7th Doctor. My favourite classic Doctor.
Thanks to @WimpyKelv12 for the idea. It was pointed out that the original version was more an early-mid 80's style than the faux orchestra from McCoy's era. I have spent a few days remixing the original to incorporate the strings and woodwind sounds that were used to create a second version.
I deleted the original data file in my video editing software for this, so recycled the video file and overlaid the dialogue clips as I obviously muted the sound from the original video file. It's not 100% seamless but it's not jarring.
Based on a MIDI file. I can’t find the original creator so if you made this MIDI, please contact me to be credited.
Thank you all for the encouragement and support on this channel. You've been invaluable!

Somebody needs to put this together with that clip of McCoy doing the Pandorica speech at a convention!
Unfortunately, it won't fit properly as the music for the Pandorica speech is a different slowed-down variation of I Am The Doctor. This is a variant of the more fast-paced standard version of the track...
@@WimpyKelv12 his delivery is quite different from Matt's, so I don't see why one couldn't try
Your wish is my command.
'There are worlds out there where the sky is burning, and the sea's asleep, and the rivers dream; people made of smoke and cities made of song. Somewhere there's danger, somewhere there's injustice, and somewhere else the tea's getting cold. Come on, Ace. We've got work to do.'
Really feel 'I am the Doctor' would have suited McCoy. Great arrangement
Love this!! Would have fit 7 and that era perfectly - i can especially see it in an episode like Remembrance of the Daleks or Battlefield 👏
This suits the Cartmel Masterplan perfectly
This theme is in 7? How fitting for the 7th Doctor! Excellent arrangement!
Time's Champion
Ok, I'm glad I stumbled upon your work because this is really, really fun.
I actually haven’t noticed this doctor being a bad ass
This was awesome nice use of instruments nice new clips aswell
Clever to find the parallel between Six's loss of Peri and Twelve's loss of Clara.
LOVE THIS
This is great!
Glad you like it!! 😊
@@hellsw0rth I'm sorry if this is really nitpicky but I've had a few thoughts after listening to this a few times.
I think this could do with another revision, this is somewhat of an improvement with the more orchestral sound, the strings and flutes are fairly reminiscent of the music of the McCoy era. However, after skimming through this collection of 7 era music (ua-cam.com/video/RdlkWdL4AqA/v-deo.html&ab_channel=SonnyBryan), there seemed to be an approximate 50/50 mix of orchestra and synth. What you made seems closer to 85% orchestra and 15% synth.
I think reintroducing some of the elements from the first version of the track will do some good, though there might be some more work needed to be done because even the synths in there didn't sound exactly like the type of synths used in 7's era.
I'm so sorry if this comes off as nitpicky and unpleasable, just had some more (hopefully) constructive criticism that I thought might help...
Awesome
awesome very bejeweledesque
Do you have the midi file? I'd love to play around with it on some of my Roland and Yamaha midi synthesizers!
I do but I’m not sure if I got it from musecore. There’s several there of this track. You do have to pay to download MIDI versions of the sheet music, but they do have a free trial if you want to check them out.
@@hellsw0rth could you send me a link to the musescore page?
@@MSDOSProject sure. An example of one is here, although it’s not one I used: musescore.com/user/7954461/scores/3339806
Battlefield, Nemesis and Remembrance devoid of Latin Wine Bar Angst...
Hey hellsw0rth! Have you looked into my request yet?
Looking into it. It’s on my radar to have a look at it.
I got you to 400, think you can get me to 200?
