The man who popularised drifting. Tsuchiya said in an interview he started drifting the last lap of some races because he was bored of being so far ahead of the competition! Lol.
Its easier with the type of transmission on this car. He is good no matter what but with a H shifter he would need to be more accurate with rev matching and not just needing to quickly blip the throttle.
@@nomaschalupas2453 Can you explain why it's easier on sequential? I also noticed that DK only blipped the throttle a little bit to rev match, so what you said is most likely true. I still can't understand how the car manages to slow down smoothly, or is DK not rev matching accurately on purpose to slow down with gears as well?
@@Akira-kd6us I don’t have much experience with seq but from the few time I did it just felt more forgiving with down shifting. With h shifter if u rev too little or too much ull lock or spin ur tires and at least for me I barely ever had to do more then quickly blip with seq. Also just like with h shifter u won’t be able to downshift without revving or else Ull have to wait for the revs to drop by slowing down but U will not have any engine braking that way. Rev matching when downshifting is the smoothest way to slow down with the gears.
Thanks, I like the way you argue too ;). I have Ayrton Senna too on the top of my personal list. Maybe my oppinion is because I have seen more about Tsuchiya (with almost any kind of car and driving style), than from other drivers. But Senna was a mean machine too! Have a nice day!
Again, this is the 2002 Class Winning NSX GT500.. from the JGTC era. Imagine the super NSX that beat the Suzuka track record on 2007, the one from the Super GT era. Hell, the only time higher than this was made with a proper Time Attack cars. Not GT Cars xD
+TheMagache GT/SGT car class, basically. Thusly, the 800+ horsepower machines that beat its time (as well as F3/Formula Nippon) don't really count towards beating this, necessarily.
Very diplomatic response, considering this is UA-cam. I wager that the likes of Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher and Kimi Raikkonen may have the upper hand over 土屋さん。

Awesome video!!!
isitaboat - No one claimed it was. They said it was the fastest run by a GT type car of that time. Of course a formula car will be faster.
Keiichi Tsuchiya in a NSX beating Tsukuba lap record.
You cant make it more japanese pride as if it was remade on manga.
Heel toe! Heel toe !
my new god.

is this a record for a certain class type? Or does anything go?

@isitaboat .....formula 1 is a completely different level... this was prolly the fastest GT
I was able to put down a 50.872 in gt5 in the rx7 aspara

I'll agree with the list with one change Andretti and Schumacher, switch them. The career alone demands this.

lol hes trolling cant anyone tell
51.7 aint shit try it in the arta nsx and am sure u'll struggle to get a 49.8, closest a got was a 52.4!
Why does the front look like 3000gt? Looooooooool
well, that's your point of view. I said and continue saying mine. ;)
Too much "race car" for me to care much about the time... at least in comparison with TimeAttack cars.
lol like GT5 was a simulation hahahahaha.
the video is too advertisement
lol u must be american
He's good... but not that good...
Proud Western 😒
Doubt you have the skill to pull that off on the real track with a real Vyron
shut the fuck up you clown.
51.7 is shit, I did a 49.8 in my Veyron on gt5
with RACE SOFT tires, now do it again with street tires!
robertfoeli1 An actual veyron wouldn't break 1 minute at Tsukuba.
Brian Messemer really? Why?
@@Ksensei41
GT2RS 58~60 seconds. Tsukuba is for cornering machines, not for fat straight machines
