How to make Irish Soda Bread

I had several comments requesting this recipe, so here it is.
3 1/2 - 4 cups flour
2 tsp or 1 packet yeast
3 Tbsp sugar, separated
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup warm water
1 cup warm buttermilk
2 Tbsp soft butter
3/4 cup raisins, regular or golden

What a great video! I have a question that might be kind of dumb so if it is I’m sorry… but what makes it soda bread? I’ve always wondered… Anyway, it looks delicious!

That's definitely not a dumb question. It's because it has baking soda and buttermilk in it. They react with each other, giving it a really soft, fluffy texture.
