One of my favorite moments with SCP 682 was in one of the “Tales From the Bright Side” stories when Dr. Bright had SCP 343 go up against SCP 682 and didn’t tell 343 what they were doing, and when 682 entered the chamber 343 didn’t even notice it nor did 682, 343 just looked through the door and asked if they were gonna send it out or have him go in and 682 just kept smashing the other door, when Bright mentioned 682 to the assistant 343 teleported right to Bright and said “682?! You’re gonna have to deal with it yourself, that’s not one of mine” Paraphrasing of course but you get the idea
Damn bro, you really decided to tackle one of the most difficult characters to scale, and you did it very well! I loved the video but I would like to add some stuff. It’s interaction with SCP-3812 is pretty controversial as it’s isn’t known if this is its real version or just the piece of it that was left behind floating in the pacific ocean (or was just a fictional construct of it made by Jeff), this is because of SCP-3812 was there, my man should have just gotten straight outta there due to his ability to (unwillingly) transcend narrative layers, an argument could be made that he was individually transcending each and every being before it would have transcended the whole narrative. He also can’t think and has multiple mental illnesses including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, so Sam (SCP-3812’s first name) was most likely just defending against our lizard boy for their whole confrontation, and 682 just decided it wasn’t worth the hassle of fighting him, it also isn’t clear what version of 682 this is, it’s most likely it Constant Of Termination form since there are many SCPs it couldn’t even HOPE of beating if it weren’t for this forms level of multinarrative manipulation. At the end of the day, one can choose their own cannon, and 3812 is very difficult to scale in his own right, atleast the authors didn’t go crazy and left some data for speculation of their interaction. (And they didn’t outright make him defeat and or kill 100% of the SCPverse which just would have been very bad and lazy writing)
It is implied that 3812 is limited to the Kaktus verse and its own lesser narratives with narratives beyond the kaktus verse existing far beyond the ones in kaktus verse, the ones being that delve into pataphysics and what not, as so there's probably several versions of 682 stronger than 3812, hell even the one that fought 3812 ratiod around 70% of the omniverse and or higher.

Damn, chuck is at it with the scps! Also with that scp 423 termination log, scp 423 only made a LOWER narrative layer below the narrative the scp foundation is at. so if it was the true 3812, 3812 would have already transcended that narrative immediately and destroy everything there.
For more clarification on 682's true identity, that of the Constant of Termination by Placeholder McD in SCP-6820: In his canon, the constants are concepts/anti-concepts (aka narrative elements) that are antithetical to life (SCP-5000) and are projected into stories. The other constants that we know of are the Constant of Chaos (SCP-3125) and the Constant of Anafabula aka "Bad Narrative" (SCP-2747). Like mentioned, 6280-A survived the termination attempt by Deepwell Foundation because it exists outside of human collective thought, and with the help of 3125 it "realized" its true nature as a constant and ended up killing everything in that timeline. I'd actually think its safe to say that the Anafabula is stronger than 6820-A since by nature its more metaphysical and deals with how drafts/stories are written and what happens to them when they become too "tropey" and badly written and collapse in on themselves (SCP-6747).
682 is just the tank of tanks, on the very conceptual level he was made to survive and survive he will. Unfortunately for him he wasn’t made to win on the conceptual level so he still gets his ass beat on the regular by ops who have no business being able to even slow him down.

682 is Irrelevent layers into boundless to beyond boundless and with his 6820 he is beyond tiering. The gate guardian is around beyond boundless-beyond tiering and was able to nearly beat the scarlet king while being slowed down. However the gate guardian could have killed 682 but decided to spare him. why? what vrazy is the fact that he was able to endure the swanns on his own and is immune to 3309 which is an event where an entire SCP article gets deleted
scp 3309 is specifically Alpha layer swanns, because it's a in-verse manifestation of IRL authors deleting articles from the SCP wiki, if we take this literally, 682 adopted to real life erasure...
You know, I used to think if you tossed 682 into Warhammer 40k, he could be defeated by being banished to the warp, since Chaos wouldn't be likely to let him out because the death of all life would kill Chaos too. @@dubstepXpower True but I feel like Malaal/Malice joining in is more likely if we ignore the debatable canonicity of him. 682 and him basically have the same goal, which is the end of EVERYTHING.

I doubt Inverted Spear of Heaven would negate 682's regen/adaptation. The weapon negates cursed techniques but 682's abilities are native to its existence. As for similar ability negation techniques, they may work for a little bit but 682 likely adapts to resist ability negation anyways.

One of my favorite moments with SCP 682 was in one of the “Tales From the Bright Side” stories when Dr. Bright had SCP 343 go up against SCP 682 and didn’t tell 343 what they were doing, and when 682 entered the chamber 343 didn’t even notice it nor did 682, 343 just looked through the door and asked if they were gonna send it out or have him go in and 682 just kept smashing the other door, when Bright mentioned 682 to the assistant 343 teleported right to Bright and said
“682?! You’re gonna have to deal with it yourself, that’s not one of mine”
Paraphrasing of course but you get the idea
(And they didn’t outright make him defeat and or kill 100% of the SCPverse which just would have been very bad and lazy writing)
that isn't the real SCP 3812, it is just a narrative made by the foundation
It is implied that 3812 is limited to the Kaktus verse and its own lesser narratives with narratives beyond the kaktus verse existing far beyond the ones in kaktus verse, the ones being that delve into pataphysics and what not, as so there's probably several versions of 682 stronger than 3812, hell even the one that fought 3812 ratiod around 70% of the omniverse and or higher.
@@raccoonmaster3681 Ah yes The CN branch, gut the strongest EN scp and give all of its abilities to all of your versions of the other scp's with non of the downsides. Like God intended.

I feel like SCP 682's true narrative purpose should be an exercise of the Foundation's redundancy.
There is story about SCP-1915 a reality bending man turns into a creature called the Absence and he goes on a unstoppable path annihilation where even other powerful anomalies and reality benders couldn't stop him. Including SCP-682 being amongst many of those who fell before the Absence's walk.

Ok the mere fact that it can do all this yet was somehow also killed by drunk driving in one of its stories is the funniest thing about this for me.

Amazing video! If we're getting another SCP video, how about we go over another hilariously broken SCP, SCP 239?
He is only indestructible because of plot armor as the fans need him to write more stories, in an actual real life scenario where the foundation seeks to kill him they actually have the resources and intelligence to do it.
They could kill him momentarily, but his "conceptual form" is another story
the problem is the SCP writers have, at this point, written him into invincibility. Ever since they made it so he was more like a concept or higher dimensional entity possessing a physical body, he can no longer be "killed" in the traditional sense. His "spirit" or non-corporeal side of himself will always will another body into existence. He literally cannot be stopped by fictional writers at this point in canon lol.

Knowing all of this, then knowing that SCP-682 is somewhat fearful of SCP-173 gives me newfound respect for peanut. As well as the XK-class scenario that happened in one of the SCPverses where 173 literally multiplied and killed everything and everyone. But, the concept that 6820-A is basically life and death is really interesting, and i think people should definitely look more into it
*The only things that are able or believed to be able to kill SCP 682:*
SCP 001: The Gate Guardian. It is believed that he could be able to truly kill SCP 682 once and for all.
The Scarlet King: Logically you would expect SCP 682 to be weaker than his father.
SCP 2935: Literally death itself. Was able to kill an alternate version of SCP 682 just by entering into his universe... Well actually he killed everything in that universe.
SCP 343: God... Yeah, the one from the Bible (Probably)
Didn't scp 173 kill 682 in an alternative reality when it was able to split itself?
@@thewinner4x873
Yeah but let's be fair, SCP 173 was a literal God or something in that story, and brute force isn't really going to help against a beast that can regen himself after being eviserated...
The only thing SCP 682 needs to do to beat SCP 173 is grow a lot of eyes and then lock him in a room
didn't they cross test 682 with 343, and they both were unable to interact with eachother?
@@funkystickman99 Has I said, it is *believed* that this characters could kill SCP 682, but the only one that that actually killed him was SCP 2935 (and while he got rid of the Avatar permanently, the Leviatan form could have probably survived)
What about 682's siblings. It's implied that 682 is the weakest of the Scarlet King's children, which is why it's always able to adapt. Makes sense that it's siblings would be able to kill it if they wanted to.
682 gives Broly a run for his money in adaptability
Maybe 682 only '"hates all life" because "all life" keeps constantly trying to kill it....?
Nah it's Canon that he's been like that from birth for no reason
bro talking about my favorite SCP. thank you for this video bro
Damn, chuck is at it with the scps! Also with that scp 423 termination log, scp 423 only made a LOWER narrative layer below the narrative the scp foundation is at. so if it was the true 3812, 3812 would have already transcended that narrative immediately and destroy everything there.
"Prepare to Die!"
682: Yeah no i'm okay.
Using a good scaling system, 682 has extraversal durability
Me: "Oh yeah! I got the infinity stones and I will delete scp 682 with a snap!"
682 is just the tank of tanks, on the very conceptual level he was made to survive and survive he will. Unfortunately for him he wasn’t made to win on the conceptual level so he still gets his ass beat on the regular by ops who have no business being able to even slow him down.

why? Because an SCP atom contains Universe, those said Universes have Platonic concepts that scale to boundless at minimum so an scp human could scale roughly layers into boundless

what vrazy is the fact that he was able to endure the swanns on his own and is immune to 3309 which is an event where an entire SCP article gets deleted

You know, I used to think if you tossed 682 into Warhammer 40k, he could be defeated by being banished to the warp, since Chaos wouldn't be likely to let him out because the death of all life would kill Chaos too.

Couple of things, I’ve seen people downplaying 682 by saying it was caught by humans. 682 is willingly captured to see what they do next.
Secondly, would a weapon like the Inverted Spear of Heaven that Toji from Jujutsu Kaisen serve to negate 682’s ability to remain alive?
On the topic of JJK, I just had the thought that 682 is what Mahoraga could’ve turned into
I doubt Inverted Spear of Heaven would negate 682's regen/adaptation. The weapon negates cursed techniques but 682's abilities are native to its existence. As for similar ability negation techniques, they may work for a little bit but 682 likely adapts to resist ability negation anyways.
@@alexendless6371Issue is, things that should work just actively don’t. Doesn’t matter what the thing is supposed to do or not do, it’s going to do the exact opposite of what you want it to. You wanna remove his abilities with a spear? He’ll probably just absorb the spear and get the ability to telepathically steal people’s life force.

1. Giant missile which destroyed all of it except for the tail which 682 self detached itself.
2. Had its size shrunken and then completely destroyed by 173, (remaining bits and blood was destroyed). The researcher was congratulated for killing 682 but trace amounts of 682 were still on 173.
3. The affects of SCP 2935 which killed him mysteriously.
4. When day breaks removes his healing ability, although this makes him a flesh monster instead.
5. SCP-294 created a liquid called “SCP 682 Killer”, when put on the creature it was starting to die but because it was only a coffee cups worth it didn’t do enough.
The only thing it fears is the feared dictator koitern aka SCP-173...

I really do not like the implemented cosmology of the Noosesphere especially with how authors have handled it. I don't like the constant inflating and nonsensical cosmology they just keep implementing to the point it's complete vanity. They should have just stayed with the Tree of Knowledge and did more to bulid up the Darkness Below, the Darkness Above, He Who Made Light, He Who Made Dark, the High Elder Gods, and the Neverweres and what the Voru is. The Noosesphere has just been tiring addition which serves only to make more contentions and dissent in the community.

It's just been a chaotically unstable contradicting disaster and further massive inflation the more they add and add upon it without substance or parameters that even make sense. It feels so empty and distracting.
