- Welcome to my video on DX VRV Robo [VRVロボ] from Gekisou Sentai Carranger [激走戦隊カーレンジャー]!
VRV Robo is the secondary set of mecha in Carranger. This set of mecha is notable for being the first to have a three different modes! They transform from VRV Machines [VRVマシン] to the humanoid VRV Fighters [VRVファイター] and finally into VRV Robo. In order they are...
1. V Fire / Vファイヤー
2. V Police / Vポリス
3. V Dump / Vダンプ
4. V Dozer / Vドーザー
5. V Rescue / Vレスキュー
The V Fighter modes have their own titles...
1. Fire Fighter / ファイヤーファイター
2. Police Fighter / ポリスファイター
3. Dump Fighter / ダンプファイター
4. Dozer Fighter / ドーザーファイター,
5. Rescue Fighter / レスキューファイター
It may have several modes, but VRV definitely lacks in the accessories department. Included in this set are two V Guns [Vガン,] and two small plugs to keep VRV from falling over.
VRV was all about fire power. In addition to the V Guns, it has the two cannons from V Fire's roof and VRV's finisher is a massive fire attack called Victory Twister [ビクトリーツイスター] using the two arms from Victrailer [ビクトレーラー] as cannons. More on that later...
Another useful feature to VRV Robo is how it is compatible with RV Robo [RVロボ]. The two have the ability to swap arms and legs. The new resulting combination of V Fire and V Police with Green, Yellow, and Pink Vehicles is called Scramble Intersection Robo [スクランブル交差ロボ]. More on that later as well...
Downsides to this mecha...well there aren't many. V Fire has about 85% of the actual engineering in this set. The other mecha are fairly basic with some very minor transformations. It seems a little lopsided, but I understand that this was a very new and difficult concept to pull off. This toy isn't that great looking either. I was always turned off by how bulking this toy looks when it's combined. It also would've been nice if it had a sword. I had the same beef with Kakure Daishogun not having one either. You could say that secondary mecha don't really have swords...but Oh Blocker had not one, but two of them. I want a sword, dammit!
Power Rangers Turbo also had a release of this in it's Megazord collection as the Turbo Rescue Megazord.

I still consider this not just my personal favourite Megazord, but probably my favorite Mecha in all of fiction, it left an impact on me as a kid
I like how Carranger didn't rely on too many mechs.

You know what this needs? More guns. More guns = More explosions. More explosions = More epicocity. Enough said. With that, may Victrailer come to make the fun continue.

I always adored this mecha for daring to be more complex than the primary mecha,..I also loved how colorful it was...but seeing it again combined..yeah the shoulders are really broad XD. Looking back, I think the V rescue could be linked to all of VRV's short comings..it really does look like the worst component in every single form its in.

Awsome review. I see you're going to save limb switch modes for another time. Yeah these guys are just practically bricks and the Red mecha has one part which I truly find annoying when transforming it for fear of breaking the damn thing! But other then that, it's still a sold toy, very reminisent of G1 of Transformers...another Toei reference there. ;) Once again, great job.

Twitter I hate Twitter grrr! :D Seriously though it's not my cup o tea, I only just go onto Facebook ever now and then. :D Well they'll certanly be plenty of 'Victory Docking' when that episode comes out and by that I mean the mix merging of the Carranger mecha. ;) :D Fair enough.
The only decent Vehicle Sentai next to Turboranger but parody season while Go Onger is lame and don't count.
