Honestly I gotta admit I enjoy more the goofy scenes from Sentai rather than the serious ones, ofc the great serious scenes still hit different but the goofy is just too funny and you can turn off your brain to just enjoy It.

The irony is the American version (Power Rangers Turbo) almost killed its franchise, resulting in its much darker successor (Power Rangers in Space) being written with the intention of being the final one but did well enough to change those plans. In other words Super Sentai was saved by going lighter in tone, whereas Power Rangers was saved by the exact opposite.

DaiZyuJin (yes I know it's officially spelled Daizyuzin but that's stupid, seriously Toei) is apparently even an actual god or something (I think the "jin" means "god" IIRC) . Most of the robos have "ou" in their name (most people spell it "oh" though, like Yugioh but that is not the correct romanization, on a side note, Yugioh should only have ONE dash in it, after the oh, if at all) which means "king" btw, obviously a robot without any cognitive capacity couldn't literally be a king.

All that being said though the next season Power Rangers in Space was a major high point for the series being by all accounts one of the best seasons even after all these years also Turbo was supposed to at least have a better ending than what we ended up with cause they had a huge ending planned to wrap everything up.

Car ranger is very comedic in nature. And Car ranger vs Oh ranger is one of the most (if not THE most) hilarious VS series. Even without subtitles, you will definitely laugh a lot watching it.

It's very interesting that Carranger's goofier tone and self-parody presentation was very well received (it's overstated when people claim Super Sentai was in threat of cancellation; Ohranger right before Carranger performed higher in sales but the series was never under such a threat; it wasn't until Megaranger did the IP really rebound into a powerhouse and ironically did so with a slashed budget) while Power Rangers Turbo nearly killed its own equivalent IP as it struggled to make the comedic material work with MMPR's more serious attitude.
Theres also this one absurd ranger video about a group of rangers basically stalking a dude, the story pivots on this guy's regular life and got annoyed by the presence of these rangers. In the end he somehow got transformed into monster. Im still searching for that video
Don't know but it wouldn't surprise me. From what I've read, it's very common for the giant robot to be a living creature who can actually talk in Super Sentai, while Power Rangers, for whatever reason, reduces them to being just automatons, with exceptions like the Galactabeasts and Wild Zords and Mini Zord.

This scene alone was more entertaining than the whole series we got in America
It's very interesting that Carranger's goofier tone and self-parody presentation was very well received (it's overstated when people claim Super Sentai was in threat of cancellation; Ohranger right before Carranger performed higher in sales but the series was never under such a threat; it wasn't until Megaranger did the IP really rebound into a powerhouse and ironically did so with a slashed budget) while Power Rangers Turbo nearly killed its own equivalent IP as it struggled to make the comedic material work with MMPR's more serious attitude.

Carranger is just peak absurdity and I love its existence.
Theres also this one absurd ranger video about a group of rangers basically stalking a dude, the story pivots on this guy's regular life and got annoyed by the presence of these rangers. In the end he somehow got transformed into monster. Im still searching for that video

Don't know but it wouldn't surprise me. From what I've read, it's very common for the giant robot to be a living creature who can actually talk in Super Sentai, while Power Rangers, for whatever reason, reduces them to being just automatons, with exceptions like the Galactabeasts and Wild Zords and Mini Zord.

THIS is Exactly Why I love Super Sentai! They don't always take themselves too seriously but when they do, it's a Huge twist of turns of Dark Villains and Antagonists ready to pummel Our Main characters!
