Thank you Jimmy Akin! I was raised evangelical and now at 57 am converting. History of the church is what sent me on my quest. Truth is what I found. God bless you.
I just noticed the number of subscribers, and I almost fainted! We need to get the word out! So many millions of people, Catholic or not, would benefit greatly from Jimmy's knowledge.
this talk was truly amazing . The Catholic Bible is truly enlightening with supporting documents. We are very thankful that persons like yourself are around to make us more aware of its truth and authority.
I really love all your videoes. Its great to see that there is no conflict between true, genuine love of Christ and allowing yourself to have varied interests. As a young table-top rpg'er I often thought that Christianity meant all my hobbies had to be holy. You were instrumental in showing me otherwise. Keep up the good work. 🎉 God bless you, Mother Mary love you.
What a wonderful feast of HIStory and the First Fathers! I have been a Catholic since 1996 and never heard anything like it. TY so very much, Jimmy, for your research and your sharing it with us. P.S. I have a BA in History that I earned when I was 60.
Who knew that Jimmy Akin was so funny ? Loved this interesting & entertaining presentation & look forward to more in this vein. God bless you Jimmy for your work.
I discovered the Didache only about a week or so ago. I was so amazed that I had never heard of it before. It's beautiful and simple. It's like a summary of all the important stuff we need to know and then some. 🙌🏻💕
Fantastic video, your talks on the Fathers and their beliefs helped tremendously with my conversion into the Catholic church last Sunday. God bless you for all your hard work and your dedication to the truth!
Blessed Divine Mercy Sunday! I'm listening to this as I enjoy Sunday dinner, alone but for Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. May they point my attention to what I need to hear! After watching: Wonderful talk! I learned so much! Always wondered why the Shepherd of Hermas was _considered_ for inclusion, since the only things I've read in it just quickly brushed over the rejection.
@@JimmyAkinWhile talking about Hermes, and quoting him saying “supernatural”, that would’ve been a great spot to cue up the Mysterious World theme music and then all of a sudden Dom appears on screen saying “Hey Jimmy!” and then you’d reply “Hey Dom!” ….the crowd would’ve gone nuts!😅
Good job Jimmy, thanks, keeping track of your talks at catholic answers live. How i wish i have the capacity to purchase your books along with other apologists of catholic answers. Your work is so amazingly essential for us to deeply understand and defend our faith, not just any faith but the Catholic faith.
Great presentation ... had to hold my breath for a bit at the beginning ... when you were saying obvious conspiracies were not conspiracies. After awhile the slightly sarcastic humor began to add a nice balance and interest factor to the date fact after fact after fact. Thank you for the video.
Muratorian canon (cca. AD 170) says about shepherd of Hermas: "But Hermas wrote The Shepherd very recently, in our times, in the city of Rome, while bishop Pius, his brother, was occupying the chair of the church of the city of Rome. And therefore it ought indeed to be read; but it cannot be read publicly to the people in church either among the Prophets, whose number is complete, or among the Apostles, for it is after their time." So it could be written much later than 80 AD. Of course, the Muratorian canon might be wrong about this, but it still should be at least mentioned.
Happy to hear your lectures again. I used to enjoy your presence at Immaculate Heart of Mary station, before it was "downgraded" to Relevant Radio!!!!!! I have already subscribed! Go Jimmy go!!!!

There are 5 times more subscribers but the liberals at Alphabet (Google) suppress ideas that conflict with their agenda.
