I'm a harsh critic. This is HANDS-FREAKIN'-DOWN the best OSU podcast out there. That Offord insight was as thorough as a fan could ask for. On God, Birm, you could talk sense into a damn Isis bomber putting the kill switch down. Nobody should be on the ledge after your analysis. This staff had done everything they can do and they have their priorities 100% in order. It's gon' be what it's gon' be. The kid either sees our upside and takes the long, "NFL First Day Draft View" ... or he doesn't. I'm good.
NIL was meant for current players, but it's being used as a signing inducement, for players that haven't done crap to earn it. I applaud what Ohio State did with NIL for all the seniors that came back. That is what is was for. But as usual, schools can't control themselves, and the NCAA is corrupt. 🤷♂️
Birm is once again spot on. Only thing worse than losing a 5 star kid at signing day is losing that kid after a year in the program because you can’t effectively operate your NIL money.
I think Grady and Offord r gonna sign. But I definitely feel u. Now if Auburn goes out and wins a natty goes undefeated. I’d HOPE they’d flip. Gotta have pride in ur home state if they have something to offer. Being from Ohio myself, I completely understand. But if Ohio state was mediocre(8-4; 9-3) and had no development I’d be out, no matter how much I love them.
Zion Grady seems a lot more secure in his commitment than Offord does. I haven’t heard of him taking any visits and I believe he shut his recruitment completely down and isn’t talking to other schools. Plus I’m not even sure there’s room in Auburn’s class for another edge player. They absolutely loaded up on the d line this cycle.
What push for the guy who ran from competition? No thank you. Plus, Brew is not worth the money Oregon was offering to him. He’s not a Devin Sanchez or Na’eem Offord type of talent.
I’m confused. All I’ve been hearing is that we can’t offer OH kids unless we’re ready to accept their commitment yet we have nine OH offers out and no commitments for 2026 in the state.
I love the message and info on the NIL bit. Super appreciate Birm giving it a platform. Whenever money changes hands there are questions. What fees are a part of getting money to the athletes? How much is Tina and others making since they have primary jobs? I love to volunteer but does everyone?
And what about the crazy fan that send 1000 bucks to a player who later drops a pass or interception and there's a bet on the line.... People are crazy... I hate this idea now
Either he wants to be a Buckeye or not... He needs to quit playing these schools against each other..If Ohio State ain't the school for him...he needs to keep it pushing..Im to the point let the chips fall where they made..One guy isn't gonna stop us from competing for championships..Sure I would like him to come to Ohio State..We are THEE OHIO STATE we don't have to beg for anyone..I wish him the best in whatever choice he makes
Texas does play a pretty stout defense .. in practice. I know Michigan is good on D, but even the best D's cannot hold up forever vs high flying O's like Texas and when being forced to be on the field again and again because your O can't get a 1st down. Just ask the '17 OSU team that lost to Clemson 0 - 31. Anyway, Texas .. about 34 - 13.
USC is far from a sleeping giant in this world of NIL. Collin Cowherd who is very in-tune with the happenings at that school has outright said their NIL sucks only having a budget of 13 million a year. They aren’t the powerhouse they were before. They can’t even lockdown their own backyard and constantly lose to programs all across the country. One year of decent defensive play isn’t going to change much.
I’m very disappointed by this wide receiver class. I understand Vernell Brown is a Florida legacy but they are an absolute train wreck, and I could see him being a flip candidate if they pushed hard enough. I also don’t understand not going after Jerome Myles. Dude absolutely went off against some of the best competition in the country. Both are speedy receivers that OSU doesn’t really have in spades and would give them a different skill set out there. This has been a very underwhelming class for Hartline. I can’t help but see this receiver class turning out like 2022 where there are little to no contributors and most of the players just transfer out.
Come on now. If team is going to give a young man $50,000.00 just to take the visit???? On that plane before they can change their mind. How many can you get in a month?
I love Ohio state but let’s take the rosy colored glasses off. We are not the best spot for every kid and that’s ok. No need to keep saying “Ohio state is the best spot for him!”
I just hope he Offord sooner rather than later if he does. There is clearly an admiration for Tim Walton. Ultimately I don’t think that wins the day but I hope he has enough respect for Walt to allow him time to get after another high level corner.

Ohio state is doing the same shit shut the fuck up
Right on brother earned not given should be the mantra any other way destroys team culture.

Nailed it
Talking stuff and the Live show are the best out of all the great content the podcast puts out in my opinion. All great tho, Go Bucks!
Also the show when Zach Boren breaks the game down the next day is a banger
Outstanding podcast guys! Thank you!
Well said Birm...its the honest to God truth
Birm is my fav❤
Hoping we can keep Grady too.

Thanks 🎉GO BUCKS😤💯
Could not agree more Birm Awesome show as always thanks guys so much love you Birm!❤
Birm you’re the BEST
Come or not, we don't care. We have Devin Sanchez. Just push for the other cb that committed to org.
What push for the guy who ran from competition? No thank you. Plus, Brew is not worth the money Oregon was offering to him. He’s not a Devin Sanchez or Na’eem Offord type of talent.
Offord best friend going to Auburn I'm from Birmingham Alabama..

Announcing that u have an announcement is wild to me. But I’m also old and have no idea what’s goin on right now on planet earth. 0 clue.
😂

So they have to pub the five star company to get paid each month?
And what about the crazy fan that send 1000 bucks to a player who later drops a pass or interception and there's a bet on the line.... People are crazy... I hate this idea now
No Simpson-Hunt love?!?!
And don’t buy Nike shoes!!
Something is wrong because the Buckeyes don't host Oregon this year. That game is in Eugene this year
Also, Igbinosun isn't going to be on OSU's roster in 2025, so evaluating his importance against Offord doesn't make any sense
This time last year we didn't think Burke would be on the roster now... it's possible igbinosin will still be here.
He still has eligibility after this year so yes it absolutely makes sense.
42:44. One of you absolutely farted 😅
Any odds on offord and where he goes?
The five star fans thing feels like something from the future.
👍🏽
I have tickets and flights and a hotel in Eugene - Berm, did the game get moved to The Shoe?

Could the low number in 2026 be due to having no QB and leader of the class?
What if the Buckeyes beat Oregon, then Auburn and Alabama in the playoff? Offord still think there is any doubt which school he should go to? :)
Auburn probably won’t make the CFP lol, and if they do that’s horrible for OSU and their chances of holding onto Offord.
Come on now. If team is going to give a young man $50,000.00 just to take the visit???? On that plane before they can change their mind. How many can you get in a month?
Na'eem still gonna flip though, which is unfortunate.
The end of this story has a collective or a multimillionaire paying a kid to sign a contract that doesn't allow him to sign elsewhere.
Offerd isn’t going anywhere let him take his visits

Birm can i get your email address?

Great show, Birm! But are we hosting Oregon or are they hosting us?
I would like free tickets too, Birm! Thanks!
