As a Zerg, muta is your rush, not your lings. Your job is survive, leave 6-12 lings at most to scout, counter attack workers or save teammate. If your teammate die, your 12 lings can’t help them let them die, your fast muta will kill one player as well to keep your team in the game. you making pure lings to barely save him only left 2 of you Econ behind and it’s a lost game 100%
Outside your base never waste them to engage any front line battle with zealots or group marines, NEVER. You have to preserve them to keep your opponent guessing, once you lost it, they know you have to make more again and Econ is crushed, they will come for you.

If your teammate is not this good, you will have another lost game.
Terran has vultures out this early is already a level above 99% of the marine bunker players. Then tank drop, he knows stuff.
Zerg is always weak early game because Zerg’s Unit making building cost 300, more than others. But Zerg scales later when you have Hatches everywhere. If you are the only Zerg, opponent will target you, always prepare for that, don’t try to sacrifice drones Econ and mass lings, focus on fast mutas and only make ling after your drone count is really up. Make 6 for scouting or sneaking is good enough and force opponent guessing to waste lava on lings over defend and delay Econ. Place your overlord at further chokes to detect opponent, if they are coming for you and you don’t have time to make sunken, then make lings to survive. Never over make them and meat grind with zealot, their zealot is independent with Econ and probe will not stop, you are making lings by sacrificing drones and Econ.
Protoss and Terran are linear. Zerg is exponential, your early game Econ scale decides the match at certain time point. Let’s say Terran tanks siege 1st push to your door always will be at 10min mark, if your Zerg was busying making lings early, you will be wiped out. If you Econ good, you will be having 12 mutas already. Can easily backline snipe the tanks and dive their SCV line, they gg instead.
