Has Medford Gone Too Far With This Knife Finish?

- I am a sucker for post apocalyptic, wasteland and fallout finishes ever since I watched Mad Max as a kid.
But I wonder if this Medford Praetorian T in Scorched Earth Finish with a Vulcan blade has pushed that concept too far even for me.
What do you think?
That’s bloody gorgeous!
Dude, you are making me like that scorched earth!
That's my evil plan!
@@edged_mindsetwhere did you find this finish
@@Justthemow It's an exclusive through knifejoy
@@edged_mindsetthanks
This one is particularly good
They must not be sealing the finish. When I heat anodize copper, brass, and bronze: I seal them with a clear lacquer or acrylic.
Wow that is absolutely stunning example!
It looks like case hardened finish on guns.
It kinda does huh
That finish does look awesome. Nice one.
Thanks 👍
Looks awesome
Damn dude your making me get back into Medfords again 😍🤤🔥🔥
Don't Do it!
This is a fire blade !
🔥🔥🔥
Making me want to use their legacy services and send mine in to get scorched earth on top of the predator
This Is Why Medford Knives Are Cool #medford #knifecollection #edc
Gotta admit I am digging that finish too🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘
I like to think I had a hand in your Scorched Earth interest haha- Scott W
😁
Beautiful Medford. I just ordered the fighting flipper in scorched earth. I can't wait to get it. It would really be cool if they did a Fighting Flipper scorched earth Vulcan blade.
👊
Oil will alter the "color" of the heat colored titanium. The metal isn't actually colored. What you are seeing is an oxide layer on the surface of the titanium, which reflects different colors. So if you want the blues coming back, just hit the handle with some windex or acetone.
🙌
Another AWESOME score...👊👊👊
Oh yeah!
I just spoke to Greg and he told me that that is “liberal blood.”
😳🤣
Hahaha I wouldn’t expect anything less from Greg. Always hilarious 😹
I have tried a few different approaches to trying that finish. The ones I seen are chemical based. The finish does look like it was flames after. I am a big fan of those forced patina finishes. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
I like it
Awe n some!
Pokémon...
🤣 🤣 🤣
Yes, definitely gotta get them ALL!! 👊
🤣
Thumbs up
😁
Can you get the blue in the handle to come back?
If I degrease it with windex
My problem with finishes like this on knives is that no one wants to scratch or even sharpen the blade. These knives are closet queens...beautiful to look at, but never used.
You lost those blue tones just by handling it for a minute or two? Sad, too fragile for me.
Definitely more of a show piece for most folks
