For those saying why are they going to pursue medicine, what should they do there are not infrastructures for research wai,if u give birth let your son research for us.Medicine is the safest option but I want most of them to pursue engineering actually.Medicine has enough brains
I think we need to inculcate self esteem development in our education, emotional intelligence is also needed , they look dull and shy, if they knew the potentials they have
This kids look so timid, few are well spoken. A reflection of our society. Oh Ghana! This are supposed to be the cream of science who we expect to pursue the hardcore sciences who ends up us the next generation of JJ Thompson, Neil Bohr, etc. Due to poor career guidance in schools they will all end up as medics who will go rot in our dilapidated hospitals n instead developing cutting edge research n revolutionizing science in Ghana.
who said doctors don't do cutting Edge research and discoveries? you talk as if medicine is not an applied science. if our government is interested in research, there are many areas in medicine that we can invest in and improve on our health. you do not have to study pure physics or pure Chemistry alone to become the next neils bohr.

Old students are seen hailing the contestants. But has this quiz had any impact on the study of science and maths at all in this country. It's time the schooling systems are designed to focus highly on practical sessions. We fed up with this theory based education, especially in science and technical studies where science and. Technical students do well in quizzes and theories but are shallow minded in practical fields. That is what is needed and not these quizzes where no practical tasks are given😏😏😏😏
What sort of logic is that? Take this competition out and interest in science will drop. Do you have an idea of the students the initiative has inspired? I bet you don't. And these days, the entire session includes science fairs, mentoring session etc. It is not this initiative that will solve our national problems. There are a bunch of folks we have voted into power who should lead the quest for solutions. The NSMQ is a brilliant initiative and must be encouraged.
assd456 we know they are brilliant but how do they put that into use. U said this completion has inspired other science. that's true. But how do we study science in Ghana? that's the problem. I bet you that what our shs science students do here is nothing compared to Chinese jhs students
@@aarahandoh6607 The study of science anywhere requires both theoretical and practical aspects. What we lack out here is the practical bit. Not every school has fitted labs. At the SHS level, they are supposed to appreciate the theories and concepts and then build on or specialise at the University level, where more practice is required because it is from there that they move to the working world. Let's encourage more avenues for the expression of science. I am very happy for the promoters of the NSMQ, particularly how they have grown it from 1994.

Why they look like so scared and shy ? They are not looking active at all . What is going on ?
Peters all the way...#Back to back
My friends, medicine in Ghana is not what you see in Grey’s Anatomy. Do your research well. Most of my colleagues regret doing medicine.
Bolga is not a village. stop asking them whether they will go to Bolga or not

You want to be a medical student ? Or you mean you want to be a medical doctor ? Be a medical student is not a career . Soooo ! I am confused.
