It's all good but Ghana has so many real challenges that contestants can be tasked to compete on, rather than an oral science quiz- I think we are not fully "extracting their intelligence" to our advantage. At their age and with their exposure to some science theories, the contestants can be challenged to for instance: 1. Set up voltaic cells to power them through prep, incase there is dumsor/light off. 2. Malaria- come up with practical/innovative ways to deal with the issue, since our antidote has mostly been prophylactics, coils and sprays....some contestants can even research insects, which can feed on mosquitoes under controlled conditions. 3. Garbage disposal-- they can also compete on effective recycling methods/renewable energy. .....the list goes on. Another worry is about the toddlers, who watches at home.....if the competition is PRACTICAL in nature, ...they might go for a parent's shoe or bag and mimick the contestants on tv, so right from the onset, we would've succeeded in CONDITIONING these kids right on how to approach science. SUMSUM.
I must commend Ghana Government for this type of Quiz that binds the nation together and make people of all ages understand that education is key and profitable. In Nigeria, priority is being placed on BBNiger and Yahoo Yahoo. It's a pity
