His story is a tragic one and you can't help but cheer him on throughout the entire story. He was one who's death actually made me cry while reading.
Remus deserved so much more. He was such a lovely, caring individual and definitely one of my favourite characters. He deserved to stay at Hogwarts, he did not deserve the cutting remarks made by those Slytherins. Snape telling people about his condition makes me so angry. I truly hate him for that. Remus deserved to live a long, happy life with her and his son, Teddy. It's not fair and every time I read his death I sob as I think of poor Teddy, without his parents, alone. He was one of the strongest, bravest characters in this book series, despite his ridiculously harsh life. His lack of self-worth is another thing that I cannot handle. I'm sure everyone felt like this when reading the books, but I just wanted to talk to him for a second and telling him that he was loved, that he was a beautiful person on the inside and out. That being a werewolf did not alter his gorgeous personality. Being a werewolf didn't make him less human. I love him, and I think we all do.
You do realise it was Severus that saved Remus during the battle of Seven Harry's? Another Death Eater had planned to hit Remus, but Severus, tried to hit the Death Eater with the sectumsempra. Also Severus did what any professor would have done. Remus was careless. In fact if Sirius had really been a Death Eater, planning on finishing Harry, Remus would have been the one at fault, because he put all three students in danger, of not only Sirius Black, who he didn't yet know was innocent, but he put his students at risk of, his werewolf form. Along with that, he didn't tell anyone about the secret passage ways, nor did tell anyone about Sirius being an animagus or about the Marauder's map. Remus was not strong either. Yes I feel sorry for him and all, but he wasn't strong. A strong person would have stopped his friends from bullying a defenseless person. A brave person would have told his friends to not pick on someone that's done nothing to them. Instead, he's sitting there reading while James and Sirius go and gang up on Severus, who was doing nothing at the time. In my opinion, Severus had the toughest life compared to anyone in the series. He was never accepted, even from a young age. Remus, though he was a werewolf, was accepted.
I know! But since Harry is Teddy’s godfather, I’m sure Harry dearly loves Teddy because Harry and Teddy have the similarities of both of their parents dead.
The best character in the series. He stayed loyal, kind and loving even with everyone he has lost and everything he has bin threw. He never betrayed anyone, and always wanted to help anyone in his power. He even didn't want to be with Tonks, because he thought he was unworthy off her. He would have bin a wonderful father, and he was an amazing teacher, mentor and Husband. Always in Our hearts

I always had the feeling Remus was even more talented than James and Sirius, but due to his condition couldn't reach his full potential. Remus's story is imo, the best written and most fleshed out.
Harry not loving Remus as much as Remus did to Harry is a misconception though. During the events in the Great Hall, Harry was sad over the death of Fred, but the one death that put him over the edge was Remus's. Remus's death basically won Harry the war.
The ghosts at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy were tame. For example, the Bloody Baron, ghost of Slytherin House, only roamed the grounds as mainly an entity who watches students especially of his House, and Peeves. Peeves is allowed, even as a poltergeist because he just toys with the students and doesn't harm them. If he does, it's mild. Albus Dumbledore was headmaster at the school for a while, followed by the Deputy Headmistress under him Minerva McGonagall, who in my opinion, are two of the most protective people in the Wizarding world only less protective/cautious to Lord Voldemort and Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody

She made real people who lived and died in a very real way, and I really did weep for the loss of these characters I had come to know and love, and I wish they weren't dead, but I know that if she didn't write it like this it wouldn't of been that big of an impact. I still get sad whenever I read about the death of Lupin and Fred. More Fred than Lupin purely because George had to live with half of himself dead. So I love that she didn't write it like a fairy tale were they all lived happily ever after. She made something real.

I think that's the only House that DOESN'T fit him - he wants to surpass his brothers, so Ron ending up in Slytherin is possible; he is reeeally good at chess which to me at least implies a different kind of smartness than Hermione has, so a possible Ravenclaw; an' obviously he's a Gryffindor in canon & I have no trouble seeing why throughout Rowling's books. You're right about Hermione & Ron not eventually falling in love with an' marrying each other, though!! Harry is the glue that made them become friends; if it weren't for him, Ron would still see her as nothing but a bossy know-it-all an' she would only see him as the jerk who made her cry. They never woulda gotten to see each other's good qualities coz of not being friends.
True, but loyalty isn't his strongest point coz he abandoned Harry twice. Hermione is the Hufflepuff outta those 3 as far as I can tell, coz she's vary loyal once gives hers to someone (namely to Harry & Dumbledore) an' works reeeally hard. Harry is loyal too, not callin' it quits no matter how cruel the Wizarding World is to him & always defending those he believes in. Ron, by contrast, is far less self-sacrificing (except in Book 1, which has my Fave Ron moment ever!! He's so brave & awesome in the giant chess game!!) an' tends to be lazy (neither of which is necessarily a BAD thing, just flaws that make him more human). He's also pretty knowledgeable 'bout the Wizarding World coz of having grown up in it (I hate how the movies leave such moments of his character out!!) an' Ron is very clever coz he outsmarted McGonagall's giant chess set at only age 11. That's why my headcanon is that he's really suitable for Ravenclaw. (An' Hermione Hufflepuff, & Neville Gryffindor; I have no clue which House suits Harry best, though.) Make sense? What's your headcanon on everyone's House placements?

One of the finest Defense Against the Dark Arts professor Hogwarts ever had. But the biggest reason I admire Remus as a character is because I feel he was one person who taught Harry best about humility and taking responsibility, and Harry got to do the same for him by telling him it would be a disgrace to leave his wife and child behind. This video truly does justice to how great a character Remus is to the Harry Potter series.

For everything he's gone through, Remus deserves better than the tragic death and definitely deserves more love from Harry. I always feel that Harry prefers Sirius over him (I know, Sirius's Harry's godfather after all)... But Remus had always been a great father figure just as much as Sirius had been... He was there, looking out for Harry even before Sirius was and continued after Sirius's death too. After the loss of Sirius, Harry felt that the last person closest to a family was gone... Ignoring the fact that there's another man, his daddy's friend, his former Professor Lupin (who should have been Uncle Moony, had Voldermort not kill James and Lily) that was there silently watching over him.
Best one! I love Remus I can relate to him alot being disabled myself. I know that J.K took alot of inspiration fom how people viewd people with aids. But there is alot of simulateies with hiw people viewd people with disabilities. And this is probably the only physical disability in the magical world with no cure! Sirius' name would have been cleared and everyone would know that Peter Pettigrew was the real traitor. Peter would never have gone to Voldemort and helped him along to full strength as he would have probably either been given the Dementor's Kiss or taken to Azkaban (likely the latter). It would have taken Voldemort longer to gain strength which would mean that Harry would have gotten to spend more time with Sirius. Remus would have likely stayed on as a teacher for longer (but not entirely seeing as the DADA professor job is cursed). Honestly, most of the events from books four to seven would have either never happened or would have taken longer to come.
Kori Leigh didn't he die because he set up a bunch of spells to protect tonks and their son? Therefore not up to full fighting force (which was pointless because tonks just left and was murdered anyways)

You're right about Hermione & Ron not eventually falling in love with an' marrying each other, though!! Harry is the glue that made them become friends; if it weren't for him, Ron would still see her as nothing but a bossy know-it-all an' she would only see him as the jerk who made her cry. They never woulda gotten to see each other's good qualities coz of not being friends.

True, but loyalty isn't his strongest point coz he abandoned Harry twice. Hermione is the Hufflepuff outta those 3 as far as I can tell, coz she's vary loyal once gives hers to someone (namely to Harry & Dumbledore) an' works reeeally hard. Harry is loyal too, not callin' it quits no matter how cruel the Wizarding World is to him & always defending those he believes in.
Ron, by contrast, is far less self-sacrificing (except in Book 1, which has my Fave Ron moment ever!! He's so brave & awesome in the giant chess game!!) an' tends to be lazy (neither of which is necessarily a BAD thing, just flaws that make him more human). He's also pretty knowledgeable 'bout the Wizarding World coz of having grown up in it (I hate how the movies leave such moments of his character out!!) an' Ron is very clever coz he outsmarted McGonagall's giant chess set at only age 11. That's why my headcanon is that he's really suitable for Ravenclaw. (An' Hermione Hufflepuff, & Neville Gryffindor; I have no clue which House suits Harry best, though.)

Excellent video, as always. But could someone please explain how Lupin could simply "forget" to take his wolfsbane potion, when so much depended on it? Even when brought a second goblet, he still didn't take it. This makes no sense.

One of the finest Defense Against the Dark Arts professor Hogwarts ever had. But the biggest reason I admire Remus as a character is because I feel he was one person who taught Harry best about humility and taking responsibility, and Harry got to do the same for him by telling him it would be a disgrace to leave his wife and child behind. This video truly does justice to how great a character Remus is to the Harry Potter series.

For everything he's gone through, Remus deserves better than the tragic death and definitely deserves more love from Harry. I always feel that Harry prefers Sirius over him (I know, Sirius's Harry's godfather after all)... But Remus had always been a great father figure just as much as Sirius had been... He was there, looking out for Harry even before Sirius was and continued after Sirius's death too. After the loss of Sirius, Harry felt that the last person closest to a family was gone... Ignoring the fact that there's another man, his daddy's friend, his former Professor Lupin (who should have been Uncle Moony, had Voldermort not kill James and Lily) that was there silently watching over him.

Best one! I love Remus I can relate to him alot being disabled myself. I know that J.K took alot of inspiration fom how people viewd people with aids. But there is alot of simulateies with hiw people viewd people with disabilities. And this is probably the only physical disability in the magical world with no cure! J.K truly is a witch in finding a way so everyone can feel related in this world!

What if lupin took his potion on that night?
Sirius' name would have been cleared and everyone would know that Peter Pettigrew was the real traitor. Peter would never have gone to Voldemort and helped him along to full strength as he would have probably either been given the Dementor's Kiss or taken to Azkaban (likely the latter). It would have taken Voldemort longer to gain strength which would mean that Harry would have gotten to spend more time with Sirius. Remus would have likely stayed on as a teacher for longer (but not entirely seeing as the DADA professor job is cursed).
Honestly, most of the events from books four to seven would have either never happened or would have taken longer to come.
